Scummy people they wrote the WRONG MILEAGE down and reported it on carfax then refused to fix it. Said would need to "buy another oil change then they'll make sure they write the correct mileage down the second time" scammers

Severely overpriced even with my Veteran discount, will not be back. 3x the cost of materials at the local auto parts store. I understand they have to pay the staff, but they're getting a better deal on oil in bulk and still charging a premium for literally draining and filling with an oil filter.

The staff at Take 5 Oil Change on Butler Rd were very friendly and conscientious. They agreed to remove the excess oil that my dealership had put in. And to top it all off, they didn’t charge me a thing. Highly recommended shop!

This was by far the best oil change experience I’ve ever had. Every person we interacted with was kind, professional, and committed to taking care of us quickly but not rushing us out. They didn’t try to overly upsell us on anything but certainly did their best to educate us on things they noticed about our vehicle. They even gave our dogs treats and offered us water upon arrival!

Fast and friendly service, though they are starting to become too expensive. I think when they first opened in Mauldin pre-covid, it was around $55 for a standard oil change. Today it was double that. May start doing it myself again. If you are not able to do it yourself, though, they are likely the best service in the area.

Wow they did such a good job, all of them! They kept it fun by shouting over everything to each other and I felt I could trust that they did a good job because other employees checked his work. It was also very fast, it took maybe 10 minutes AND they gave me 2 bottles of water because I was so thirsty! It was a nice touch. I would recommend them to friends and family, I won’t go anywhere else.

I would avoid this location at all costs - can’t speak for other Take 5 locations. One manager in particular was really good - sadly can’t recall his name, but the other individual I spoke to on 11/13/25 at around 5:00pm was completely unhelpful - kept saying “it looks bad on me if you get refunded for your service” and “that’s not how businesses work” when pressed on the issues I presented timestamped photos of. They will do a half-hearted job and leave you hanging when you return with proof of glaring issues with your service such as overt spillage near your oil inlet and a leaking, under-tightened drain plug. See photos. I will follow up with Take 5 corporate tomorrow during their working hours and remove or improve this review if that goes well. It is a shame we live in a world with such poor quality of service that a simple oil change cannot be completed correctly and furthermore that a business takes a stance of accusing customers of fabricating their experience when they arrive with proof and politely ask for a refund on basic, easy services that a business of this nature should be more than happy to stand behind. TL;DR: they have lousy attention to detail and make no effort to stand behind their service or rectify proven mistakes. See photos. Take your car elsewhere.

Store Manager Cory was AMAZING with his “carside” manner — professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. You can tell he leads his team well. Geo greeted me with a smile as BIG as Manhattan, instantly making me feel welcomed and valued. Ethan was as sweet as pie with a smile just as infectious — such a positive spirit! And Brandon made sure I had everything I needed for my upcoming trip to Cleveland, going above and beyond to ensure my car was road-ready. The entire crew worked together seamlessly, efficiently, and with such great attitudes. I honestly wish I could take the WHOLE team on the road with me!
