Johnny knocked this one out of the park! Sunday I noticed my 2009 Mini Cooper Convertible was running really rough and the dreaded Check Engine was illuminated. I drove immediately to Taylor's Garage on Greensboro Ave., parked the Mini Cooper, and slipped the key into the Overnight Slot on the side of the building. The next morning at 7:00am sharp I called Johnny and described my car's troubles. Long story short my car was ready and running like a top by lunch time and cost a helluva lot less than I was expecting. You'd think one bad ignition coil could ruin your day and it would have if not for Taylor's Garage. I HIGHLY recommend them for your automotive service needs.

There is no where else I will take our vehicles! Very rare you find someone this honest and trustworthy in the service industry. They have done work on my Truck and showed me how to fix my wife’s car which led to a loss of revenue for them. Great people!

These guys always take great care of me. They've even encouraged me to order a part on Amazon and bring it to them for the repair to lessen the cost to me. They always tell me when something needs to be repaired or if it can wait, and I always get my car back earlier than expected.

My husband and I trust these guys with all of our vehicles (we have a car, 2 trucks, and an SUV). We have been going to Taylor's for about 3 years now and we always get practical advice regarding our vehicles, more-than-reasonable prices (we know b/c we've called around), and great service--they know what they are doing and do it right the first time. All auto shops should strive to be like Taylor's.

My son is a freshman at Bama, and had only been in Tuscaloosa for two weeks, when he had a minor mechanical issue. I work in a dealership service department, (four hours away)so I felt pretty sure I knew what he needed, I just needed someone to double check and fix it. Mr Taylor had him in and out, in under 10 minutes, and the price was less than i expected to pay for just the part. I spoke to Mr Taylor and another gentleman at the shop, and they were extremely helpful and friendly. Im very grateful for the quick, reasonably priced service, and we will definitely be back, if he has any other problems. Im a grateful mama!

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I will return again and again! Choosing a mechanic is almost as serious as choosing a doctor or dentist. If you don’t choose the right one, then many problems can arise. At this shop, they really consider the customer and take into consideration that we more than likely feel somewhat distraught about our vehicle having issues. They treat you like they’d treat someone dear to them. This is evident in how nice they are, the EXTREMELY reasonable prices, the knowledge shared, etc. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it, and didn’t screw anything else up in the process. (I say this because I’ve had mechanics to, whether purposeful or non intentional, cause other issues when repairing something). As I’ve stated, this was my first experience with them, but certainly won’t be my last!

I have had two experiences with Taylor's so far, and both have been good. 1. My car didn't start reliably, and the dealership told me it would be around $800 for a new starter. Taylor's did it for around half that, and they did it the day after I called them. 2. The dealership told me that my rear drum brakes had only 1mm left on them and that I should have the shoes replaced as soon as possible. I took my car to Taylor's. The guy told me that my rear brakes had half of their wear left and did not need to be replaced any time soon. I will keep bringing my car here.

Brought my car in after hearing noises in my Toyota. I knew my carrier bearings or my U-joints had gone but wasn't exactly sure which one it was. Taylor's was able to diagnose the problem as my U-joints and they fixed the car in a reasonable time. They have very reasonable prices and didn't try to charge me for any unnecessary work (as I am a young female and I know some places around Tuscaloosa will upcharge/add unnecessary fixes just for this reason). All the workers are super welcoming and have great customer service. They will definitely get my business.

Thanks so much to Johnny and the staff at Taylor Automotive!!! My daughter’s check engine light came on, so at Johnny’s request, she took it to them to make sure it was drivable (they wouldn’t be able to work on it until the next week). Johnny had her diagnosed, fixed and out within 45 minutes!! Highly recommend!!!

My name is Daniel I don’t usually write reviews about places but this one in particular I was very impressed the service was fantastic they seemed very knowledgeable and the price was right and in this time and age that’s what we need honesty and truth. They even turned down certain services that he didn’t think were necessary that’s a true sign of somebody that’s honest and sometimes that’s more important than other things I would definitely take my business back here again which I will . To let people know I had CV axles done on a GMC Acadia also brakes then I had tires replaced on a Tahoe and all of this was done with in a reasonable budget. My thanks goes out to the mechanics that work hard even in the heat thank you.

Taylor Automotive is the BEST! Mr John Taylor has a top notch crew of service personnel. Many years ago I was in a real spot. While I was hospitalized Mr John went and towed my truck to the shop, fixed it up and towed it back to my house before I was even discharged! Since then I will always recommend them. The people at Taylor Automotive are kind to everyone (disabled or not) and explain everything clearly. You can trust their parts, give great service and don’t mind giving you advice on the phone if you need guidance. Class A plus people!

These guys are the Best! I could go on for days. I've been going there for a couple of years now. Regular maintenance, oil changes, and 2 repairs. Johnny seems to be the guy to go with. Always honest and knowledgeable. The prices are good and my car is always finished faster than I expected. I will go to them for everything Auto.
