Excellent towing service & value I recently had an unfortunate breakdown over the 4th of July weekend and Horton’s was able to immediately come pick up my car and drop it off back home within an hour and they were far cheaper than other services I called. My daughter's car was towed by them Saturday during the game. That's not their fault and not what I'm upset about. I called them Saturday to ask about the fee and was told if I waited until Monday to pick it up I would only have to pay $70. So I went down there after work, about 20 minutes before they closed, and the guy told me it was going to be $90. I told him I had been told it was $70, he said it would have been if I had been there 20 minutes sooner, (something to do with a 24hr period or something?) but I was not told there was a certain time to be there but he was rude and didn't care!

I had my car towed shortly after midnight following the game and was charged $265. The guy made me get cash and refused to take my credit card, then was gone when we returned. We had to wait 30 minutes to pay and have my car returned to me.

Very kind staff, fair pricing. My only complaint was the time it took to complete the repair. About a week and a half with no updates. The guy admitted to have called the wrong number so the honesty was appreciated. I'm willing to give the place another chance since I blame these crazy times...and I am just glad to have my work truck back.

If you are a victim of predatory towing know your rights. Contact your local law enforcement and the Better Business Bureau. Take them to small claims court. Do not pay cash and contact credit card company or bank for fraudulent charges. They may hold your vehicle hostage but you can fight back.

Called for towing after car wouldn't start despite several unsuccessful attempts to jump. Tow truck arrived approximately 15 minutes after my call and Horton staff person asked to attempt jumping once more before towing. Their jump got my car started right off. Thanks to staff's knowledge and thoroughness I avoided an unnecessary tow and the associated cost. I will be using and recommending Horton's from now on thanks to the kind, honest, knowledgeable service I received.

They told me I needed a distributor because the car would not start. Paid them $626.00 to do it. And when I picked my car up 3 days later without them calling me with up dates. My car were running bad bad told me I needed a tune up. I took my car to a mechanic somewhere else and found out that it were the fuel pump that were the problem. They lied to me and they are no dam good. They will never work for me again and I'll c them in court. $75 more dollars would have been almost a $700.00day to have a distributor put on and car still didn't run right. Ran just fine before they put their hands on it. To dam high. A distributor cost about $90 at Auto Zone. Every body i know say they are a rip off.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. While the cheap tow rate of $125 might sound nice the over all charge of $760 that could have been $800+ just to look at my starter was not worth the pay. Turns out the starter was fine and it only needed wire fixed but I guess that’s why I got charged $760. TOTAL RIP OFF. AVOID AT ALL COST OR IT WILL COST YOU A PRETTY PENNY 💰

Insurance took months to approve the claim and get everything filed, but as soon as it was processed the guys at the shop got to work! It only took them 2 1/2 weeks to fix the damage. I was rear ended, but my bumper and tailgate looked amazing once the work was done. They are genuinely concerned about the quality of work they do and they put it superior effort on repairs and body work! They didn’t take advantage of the fact that I’m a college student which showed how honest they are in quotes and pricing.

Crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Towed my truck from the condo I own in Tuscaloosa. Yelled at me and cussed me out! Chaged me $265 after towing my truck from the parking spot that I own. CROOKS!!!!! Update, we go to the lot to pickup the truck, the gas has been drained and the shifter cable was stretched so we can't shift from drive to park in order to start the vehicle. This place needs to be shut down. What a bunch of low down people. How do these people look at themselves in the mirror.

These guys are fantastic, especially Dustin! The TA tech was lazy and told me I needed to have my truck towed to them to be fixed. I called Dustin at Hortons and when he got there he had the problem with the hose fixed in 5 mins. He could have easily just hooked to my truck and charged me for a tow but he didn't. He was honest and I will be using him from now on. I have 230 trucks and we run that lane all day everyday. Thank you so much Dustin!!!!!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. In November my car was towed. When I retrieved my car (less than a year old) there was damage. Whoever towed my car, pried my door open, which cause paint chipping and damage to the lining of my car and there is cosmetic damage to my front end from when they hooked my car up. They also broke the shift lock release button on my gear shifter. After speaking with the manager and owner, it was agreed that they would fix the repairs to my car. This was in NOVEMBER 2023. It is now April 2024. And nothing has been changed. Everytime*** I call the office, I get the “run around” and nothing has been done. It is so unprofessional and it’s unreal that you can not get anything done.

Zach helped me when I had car trouble recently. I called at 8:00 A.M. stuck at Chik-fil-a in Northport. By the time I finished my biscuit, Zach had arrived. My shift cable had come loose. He came with a rollback capable of transporting my C-5 Corvette, but he also brought a jack and was able to temporarily attach my shift cable so that I could get home without have it pulled on to the tow truck. I really appreciate the extra effort to avoid the tow. Zach was prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. Who knew getting towed could be a good experience.

Wow, I cannot speak more highly of this company and the employee I just interacted with! My tire needed to be plugged and was in desperate need of getting it fixed and no where was open besides Walmart, and they had a 5 hour wait. I started looking around and noticed this place was listed as open (even though I don’t believe the shop was), but the employee told me to come in and he would fix it. He found the nail, removed it, and filled up my tire. When I tried to pay him, he refused! I’m so incredibly thankful for this kind gesture and for helping me out on a Sunday. Hortons will be my first call when I have car troubles :)
