I have had my car at Tony’s before for a transmission replacement and they did a great job. My mom was having trouble with her 2005 kia transmission wise and another auto shop said the transmission needed to be replaced and when the car was done it was still having the same shifting issues. We took it back and they tinkered with it for another week and said it was fine and ready for pick up. Shortly after driving it the same shifting issues started happening again! After two more times we gave up and I told my mom to take it to Tony’s. After about a day or two Tony’s found the problem! It wasn’t the transmission at all, it was just a software update issue. They couldn’t do it there but said it would have to be done by Kia directly, which is fine. Kia did the update for around $600 including towing and diagnostics. We bought a used $3,500 transmission from the original mechanic for nothing! Any way we are very grateful for Tony’s knowledgeable and professional service. We would recommend them to anyone. Misty the manager is also so caring, polite, professional and awesome! Thanks again

My transmission and transfer case were rebuilt by Tony's. When I received the car back the transmission wasn't right. I immediately took it back to the shop. they took months to get it "right" It cost me more money because they supposedly encountered a computer module problem. I drove just under 3,000 miles on the rebuilt transmission and now I am dealing with a complete failure of the transmission and an impossible mess in my driveway.

Made an appointment for them to look at some leaks on my transmission. Dropped it off on a Monday, they didn't look at it. Tuesday they called and said they needed parts and work authorization. I told them to order parts and proceed with fixing it. No word out of them on Wednesday. Stopped by late Thursday morning to see how it was coming, it wasn't even inside being worked on. Same old excuses, mechanics are sick, no lifts free, blah, blah, blah. They could have at least told me to bring it back later in the week when they could get to it, but apparently the customers don't really matter much anymore. Just a heads up if you need them to fix something in a timely manner.

I cannot say all the good things about this place. They are very down to earth and saved me more the 8000 dollars another shop had quoted me for my transmission problem. Every one there was so nice and professional and told me everything I needed to know along the way. Horrible customer service. Transmission failed after a week. Stay away. Took a few days to even get a diagnosis due to a shortage of staff. Then repair changed throughout the process. When I went to pick up my car there was an extra $600 added to the bill without approval and not documented in writing prior. Be prepared to battle for “warranted” work. -------Updated: I’m sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. When I arrived to pick up my car, there was a surprise $600 charge added to the invoice that had not been explained or approved in advance. When asked to provide written proof of authorization, the shop was unable to do so and ultimately removed the charge. That alone was concerning. Throughout the process, the explanation and direction of repair changed multiple times, which made it difficult to trust the guidance being provided. Communication was inconsistent, and expectations shifted day by day. I also find the tone of the owner’s response here to be dismissive and not customer-friendly, especially when addressing a legitimate concern about billing transparency. This experience was stressful and not what I would expect from a professional repair shop. Most importantly, the vehicle broke down one week after the initial repair with the same issue, which raises serious concerns about the quality and reliability of the work performed.

Our '94 F-150 was having trouble shifting after traveling down from Flagstaff. It was experiencing hard shifting, from a stop I would have to go 30 mph for it to upshift. I knew I had to get it looked at before I could head back up the hill to Flagstaff. After Tony's inspection and photos my choice was to have the transmission rebuilt. They were going to need the vehicle for about five days so we caught a ride back up to Flag from another family member. I got a call four days later saying our truck was roadworthy again. They did a couple road test to make sure everything was right. I picked up the truck a few days later and drove up home. It is running well, shifting fine. Happy with Tony's Five Star service. Good people, honest and professional. A crew with a deep knowledge base that instills confidence. I recommend their service.

I’m from Montana and broke down in the mountains with a completely failing transmission and I had a camper on the back of my truck. I was honestly in a tough situation, but I was able to limp it into town and make it to this transmission repair shop, and I’m beyond grateful I did. Although I did not get any good news on the 2010 VW cc that I just purchased the service was top notch and Misty & the other young lady in the office did not skip a beat very knowledgeable about transmission’s and all that is involved in the diagnostic terms ect… I really appreciate your honesty and smiles and good sense of humor. I could have easily gone to my car and cried but nope they were so positive & nice I could only smile to myself after. Also the mechanics came and went while I was waiting getting info from Misty and back to work they went! So impressive the way everyone handled their business! I will definitely be spreading the word and going back to get my transmission done as soon as they are able to track down the one my car needs. 5 stars for Tony’s 5 star transmission!!! 😎

These guys are great, I had a Gear Vendors unit on my truck I was having issues with, no one else would take my truck in but these guys had the knowledge and confidence to get it done. I was able to drop this big truck off the night before for early morning service. They noticed another mechanic used incorrect materials on my transmission and were able to get the parts and install them the next day. The entire team made it happen VERY quickly as I had a trip scheduled already. This shop truly inspired confidence, professionalism and trust; very VERY rare for any vehicle repair facility.
