These people seemed to be very nice, And I don't think they meant to give me a bad deal. Went in and needed a new MAP sensor, was stressed about it an anxious and they were very kind. Was charged $350 and didn't think anything of it, as I know nothing about cars. Not even a week later and my car stalls again, same code, took it to a family friend’s shop and it's the MAP sensor again. They got a brand-new MAP sensor from the dealership for less than $100. Was charged more for labor but it was still much less than $350. Was quick to replace and fine since. I don't think it was intentional, but the large gap in prices confused me. Especially considering that the sensor they gave me was not brand new or from the dealership. Edit: They saw my review and offered me a full refund, and as I said, these people do seem very nice and I am sure it wasn’t intentional. However, I still thinks its important to leave this review. Grateful for the refund, Brian is very kind.

Such a great experience!! I saw the amazing reviews of other women having great luck with this shop for transparency. Not only was I treated like just any regular guy bringing his car in but it was such a welcoming atmosphere where you felt like you were apart of their family business-even if only for an hour or two! I had recently gotten my yearly service/oil change at the VW dealership and had a big list of items that needed to be done. I decided to reconcile this list by having diagnostics also done here and what a huge difference. Not only were the “urgent items” as listed by the dealership not urgent, but they also weren’t necessary. The owner took the time to explain that “if it were my car I wouldn’t worry about these yet” understanding that a large car expense is the last thing anyone needs. Noting that I should keep on eye on it and come back if it’s becomes an issue. And an item that VW said “not as important”, was the one item this shop recommended to do. Keep in mind the quote from VW was over $5000 (I had no check engine or warning lights on either) & the diagnostics here were $85. He even showed me where the issue was in the car visually so I could understand better-helpful when relaying this information to my dad lol. I also was able to work remotely while waiting which was super convenient. Going forward, if I have any issues with my car, I know exactly where I’m taking it. Had a great experience and would recommend this auto shop.

I work down the road and I locked my keys in my car. They were so nice and helpful and were able to get into my car even though it was old and the lock buttons didn’t want to work. They left no damage and double checked with me to make sure it was all good. Thanks especially to Bryan for being super nice even with my stubborn car.

If you are looking for quality work at reasonable prices this is the place to go. Everyone that I talked to here was incredibly kind. As a woman coming in with car issues, we all know how that feels. This place never made me feel like they were lying to me about anything and they were completely upfront about everything. Back story: My truck started leaking oil around the oil pan area in April 2024 and only realized it when I took it in for oil change. Toyota let me know it was likely oil pan needing to be resealed but could not confirm without diagnostic. I ended up taking to a mechanic my father knows, and the guy ended up resealing that pan 3 times and it was still leaking. Then I decided to take to Toyota to diagnose and they pretty much said the same thing and told them to move forward with work. Upon them removing oil pan they said that it was a bigger problem, a $6k problem. On top of that, because my vehicle was worked on prior with other mechanic, they said my still valid warranty was voided. They ended up charging me $700 because they still removed and put back oil pan and didn’t solve my problem. I was referred here by Love Field Auto since they couldn’t do the work Toyota was telling me it needed. I explained my problem to Terry and he so kindly listened to me. Without even taking apart my truck they said it is one of two things and these are the prices (much less than Toyota and different issue than Toyota had stated). It ended up being rear main seal and on top of that Terry called the warranty company and was able to get it covered along with another issue they found resulting in me paying almost nothing. This place is the best!

I went in today to get my car checked up. As a young woman it can be difficult to trust that you’re being told the truth for automotive repairs, here I felt no such thing. They treat everyone with respect and kindness.They explained everything to me in great detail and took the time to get to know me too. I was stuck there for a couple hours because I live pretty far from the shop. They accommodated for me, made me feel welcome, and got a few laughs from me too. I highly recommend this place, a great team who know what they’re doing :D

Can't believe I've never left them a review! I've been going there since 2019, and they're the most honest, experienced, trustworthy, and thorough mechanics! I can always trust them to do the job right and charge prices that are more than fair. Everyone knows that a mechanic that you can trust is hard to find. They are always friendly and communicative. Terry remembers me by name when I call, and we have started taking both cars there even for oil changes because when we go anywhere else, we aren't sure that we're being dealt with honestly when it comes to the maintenance that might be needed in the future. Terry and Brian are very honest and do phenomenal work over at this shop. I got recommended to them by a friend and I could tell in the first 10 minutes of talking to them about my car that they are good shop, doing honest and clean work. They don’t cut corners and keep it very real with you when it comes to costs and how long something will take to fix, and they even offered to give me a ride back home after dropping off my car. I’ll be coming here for any future car work.

Wow. I only wish there were a place like this near me—where do I even begin? My partner and I own a 2009 E-450 ski shuttle that was converted into a mild-weather RV. Before a planned trip to Texas, we spent a month trying to get the cab AC fixed in our hometown. But with limited availability and other hurdles, we eventually had to hit the road without it and figure things out along the way. When we arrived in Dallas, we made a few calls and were eventually recommended Trowell & Turner—and thank goodness we were. We were on a tight schedule, just passing through, and they still made room for us. They got us in the same day. Diagnosed the issue. Ordered the part. Picked it up. Offered us a place to park overnight. Offered to drive us anywhere we needed and pick us back up. And even insisted we take a floor AC unit to use with our generator overnight. And somehow, this still isn’t the best part of the experience. Where they truly shined was in their honesty, communication, and care. The mechanical explanations were clear and thorough. They laid out the pricing transparently—with actual numbers, not vague estimates—and everything was more than fair given the work and parts required. We felt completely informed and respected throughout the entire process. If you’re someone who doesn’t know a lot about vehicles or if you just need a place you can trust to get you back on the road, this is that place. I’ve never experienced such genuinely helpful, kind, and trustworthy service in any industry. I cannot believe the luck I had to find these amazing folks. Hats off to every single person at Trowell & Turner. If I’m ever within five hours of them and need anything for a vehicle, I’ll make the trip without hesitation. I've already called everyone I know in the area to tell them about this place and this is the first Google review i've left for a company without being prompted to. They’ve earned a deep level of trust that’s nearly impossible to find.

Absolutely Outstanding Experience – Jaguar F-Type Owners, This Is the Place! I cannot say enough good things about Trowell & Turner Automotive. They were absolutely outstanding in every way. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness, honesty, and professionalism. I brought in my 2016 Jaguar F-Type for an oil change and not only did they do a phenomenal job, but they also treated me like family. Their team went above and beyond with customer service. The level of care, transparency, and integrity they bring to the table is something you rarely find in this industry. Honest and Great Mechanics. Took my Lexus to 3 places to diagnose a noise. It was mis-diagnosed at all but TT. And even before they got it right they did replace a part that did not fix the issue and would not let me pay so I brought it back and they nailed it. These guys are my only mechanics now.
