I am extremely happy with my experience at Tru Customs of PA. I needed a 2-way system for my XJ. They had exactly what I was looking for and Rey did a great job installing it for me. I’m very satisfied with the outcome and would highly recommend this shop! The coolest part about this shop is that you get to take a picture of your ride next to the badass mural on the wall before you leave!

Ray, the owner of the business went far above and beyond for me with my install. His supplier initially sent the incorrect harness for my Tundra, and he drove 1 hr each way to pickup the correct harness and still managed to meet his initial timeline. On top of that his attention to detail was fantastic! I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I really enjoyed working with a fellow veteran. Hell of a great shop, hell of a great owner. 100% recommend.

I had to drop my car off at another audio shop for three days for a Subwoofer and he did not touch it. I called Tru Customs up and he got me in the next day and out the door. 10 out of 10 customer service. Amazing work with subwoofer install, and wires would never know there’s a sub in the car if I didn’t pop the trunk. Great price too

I did a search for car audio installers in York to upgrade the Sound System in my 2006 F150. I decided to stop in at TRU and see the shop, ask questions and decide if this was the place. After speaking with Rey and the team, it was apparent I was going to get a fair shake, so I scheduled the install. In the beginning, I had balked about adding a CD Player system, and Rey suggested I pass, but then I thought about it and decided to go with the Cd Player. I was scheduled for 3 hours, arrived and Rey and his 2 techs got started on the conversion (as I wasn’t able to leave the truck, no ride). So in just over an hour the Radio, Speakers were installed and as I was being shown the sound system, I realized the CD addition was affecting the screen as Rey had for-warned as affecting functionality/size of the screen viewing capability. So I asked if it would be possible to swap the system out to the original system and Rey was gracious enough to do so w/out an up charge. When done, I was given directions for use, instructions and told if I have any problems - I shouldn’t - but to come back. Great group of Guys, US Veterans doing what they Love, making customers happy!

In response to the Ashley Zimmerman review, here are before and after pics (one with the hand is how it came in). Your ground was jerry rigged when it came in, he cleaned that up and pics are how it left, spade terminals installed cleanly. He did advise you the terminals on the amp were already stripped AND that the xover switch on your amp was causing it to cut out when touched. Please consider updating your comments.

Ray answered every question I had and recommended upgrading the door speakers to get better sound quality and it worked great. Installed them while I waited for a great price. Just went there today for a remote start system installation and let me just say I’m very satisfied with the service I got. They didn’t even take 2 hours to get the system installed on my SUV! The owner was very respectful and professional, he explained in detail how to use the control center and how the system worked. Best part of all I got a lifetime warranty!

First time customer. Needed help getting an aftermarket radio/amp & sub installed - Initially I'd gone to Best Buy for parts and scheduled install; but as we know, chain stores are managed by poorly operated systems where their infuriatingly automated "service" confirms appointment information but the actual tech doesn't show NOR has communicated with the customer (or with the "system" which you'd hope could notify of employee cancellations). Their apology was to schedule me out another 4 weeks. Tru Customs caught my eye immediately when I looked for an alternative car audio installation service in the area. I contacted them and received very quick & confident responses. They scheduled me in fast; answered my questions outside normal business hours, provided detail about the job and got it done in literally a QUARTER of the time the blue store had quoted me. ..Shop is professional, well stocked & organized, good signage, clean; and obviously run by someone who invests in his customers because they ARE his business. I'm happy to say I returned 1k worth of stock to Best Buy just 24 hours after they screwed me over with a shrug, and I pulled out of their lot (for the last time) with my new stereo providing ample sound & serotonin thanks to Rey & his team. I was super thankful to switch my project over to a small business owner who made a deliberate effort to communicate and provide both convenient and quality service. Happy to learn there are a ton of other services offered at Tru Customs and I'll be looking for reasons to return.

I’m not usually the one to go super fancy on the vehicle… but when I purchased a ‘24 Sienna the previous owner was all about it, and I must say I love it… however I had no idea what to with or how to control the installed LED ambient lights! Tru Customs was highly recommended and when I called and explained how dumbfounded I was, Rey was more than happy to help me. Within minutes he had located the module, showed me how to scan/download and run the app the system was designed for and now I’m having a blast with it! Thanks Rey… so so good.
