Josh and David are amazing! They did not make me feel pressured and answered all of my questions without judgment! Being a new person to the city, it felt nice being that welcomed to the shop! Will definitely only be going to this location!! Josh was able to fix my truck very quickly and explained everything in detail so that I knew what truly was going on! These guys are amazing! They truly do what’s best for each individual customer. They treat you like a person, not like a business opportunity. They let me make an appointment a bit later than they take most guests because it's the only time that would fit into my work schedule. Two of the Tuffy guys worked for almost an hour to fix a problem that was unexpected and unrelated to the initial reason for my visit free of charge. They stayed past work hours to help me out and were super cheerful about it. As the manager started closing down, I apologized for having to keep everyone there late, and he smiled and said it was no problem - my safety was the most important thing. While I was waiting, I watched the staff work with other customers and they seemed to get to know each of them individually. They also helped customers with discounts and advice wherever they could offer it. I will 100% always go to Tuffy for my auto needs, and I’d recommend it to everyone else. They have phenomenal customer service and they get the job done right!

Great customer service and a fast turnaround on a manual transmission repair. Josh was the tech that did the work and finished the job in one day versus the week I expected. When I went to pick up the car he came to the front and answered my questions concerning the job. He gave a great explanation of the work done and then offered to show me the old parts where he took the time to explain the failure. Excellent customer interaction. Mohammed at the front desk was great with returning calls and keeping me up to date on the process. Very professional and courteous. Both Josh and Mohammed exceeded my expectations. As much as it stinks to have an expensive repair, the excellent service made the process feel like money well spent. Thanks to them both.

David at this location is fantastic! His assessment of what NEEDED to be replaced vs what SHOULD be replaced was honest and would have saved me hundreds of dollars. He even worked with me to find discounts for the parts and labor, which again would have saved me at least $150. I ended up deciding to forego service and trade my vehicle in for a new one, but David has earned my business should I need auto work done again. Thank you David!

My Nissan Versa needed a transmission flush. It was jerking and the engine light was on. I also had a rear brake light out and asked that they fix that as well. I live in Columbus, Indiana, and after calling 6 places, the lowest quote I received was $250, with an additional $50 -$100 for a new filter....I kid you not! On a visit to Ft. Wayne last month, Tuffy on Dupont gave my car a transmission flush for $125. The brake light was fixed with no charge. It was a loose wire that they took the time to fix. I am so happy to know there are honest good people like these guys around. My car is running better than it ever has! I will continue to bring my car to Tuffy on Dupont. It is well worth the drive. I cannot express enough my level of gratitude and appreciation.

It was done in a reasonable amount of time. The price was great they were running a special too. They let me watch and even fixed a repair for free. It was just on bolt but they did fix it no charge. I am going back to give them another try at my business at a later date. Good service at a reasonable price can’t ask for any more.

Came in to get a tire plug and Woke up the next morning with it going down and had to wind up going three times after being told that they did it and they made sure nothing was leaking arguing with everybody about which tire I told them when I have a digital screen on my car as well that tells them they never check the tire for it actually to be sealed I wasted my money and had to go to another mechanic and find out it was actually my rim that was cracked … Did I do this or was it in the shop? I have no idea but now this is hundreds and hundreds of dollars That possibly could’ve been avoided

Over many years and many vehicles, Tuffy's on Dupont has continued to provide us with exceptionally excellent service. The owner Kenny recruits, trains, and retains great staff. The team there has always responded well to questions with clear explanations and fair assessments. I've never felt overcharged, and often felt I was getting somewhat under-charged for the amount of expertise & labor provided. Their transparency and clarity really helps to build confidence. This has become the general purpose vehicle service shop I've ever come across.

The gentlemen that work here value their customers and approach their profession with a level of integrity that should be the industry standard. I do most of the work on my own vehicle, but by no means am a pro. From time to time there is something that I can’t figure out, or when I do, I figure it is something just best left to them. I am relatively new to Fort Wayne, and a trusted mechanic is someone I just hadn’t run into yet. Couldn’t get a solid recommendation from anyone either. If you would consider yourself a meticulous researcher, and happen to be looking for the best level of care or the best bang for your buck: did that. found them. 100% nailed it. They did fantastic work, kept me updated the entire time, and even offered me a ride in case I didn’t want to wait. The best part, which I deeply appreciate, is that while performing routine maintenance, if they saw a problem or what could be one developing, they called me to: -let me know what was going on. -let me know what it could lead to if I did or didn’t fix it as well as the severity of the issue -they had quotes already figured as to not waste my time and cut down cost of having to come back. -and at no point did I ever feel pressured or uncomfortable with their recommendations. This happened twice while I was in for a brake service. I elected to have one done based on the severity, and for the other surprise issue, they told me what to look, listen and feel for that would indicate that issue had gotten to the point of needing attention. When I got the bill, I assumed it was going to be double what it was when I drove in. Needless to say: I found my mechanic for my stay here. I would recommend you do the same.

I received great service, fair price, and a quality repair of my broken exhaust, that Evans Toyota and Fort Wayne Toyota, did not diagnose correctly for months. Took my wife's Toyota Sequioa into this Tuffy for an estimate on what the noise was underneath the vehicle, and within minutes, the truck was in the air, and a very fair estimate was provided. The work was done correctly, and i was treated as a valued customer. Great 2nd experience with the staff and lead of the shift. Highly recommended

Not great at all. Come in for a “battery” fix and still have issues. They then tell me it’s my alternator which is tested the same time as the battery. I take it to a trusted family mechanic and he said the alternator is perfectly fine and running well with the test results. This place wants your money and that’s it. Highly recommend never coming here. Manager is rude as well….. overall a pretty horrible experience

took my truck for an alignment and 20 mins later i was told the tie rods were froze so the mechanic took the torch to loosen up them up and in the process they burnt holes in both my front axles boots and failed to inform me what had happened The Mgr. was going to charge me for an alignment that didn't happened and the mechanic said no charge I find out a day later I have grease on the garage floor where the truck is parked Cleaned the floor up and didn't give it a 2nd thought On the 2nd day I noticed grease where my truck was parked and saw the damaged axles boots were throwing fluid all over. returned to the shop and mechanic acknowledged he had damaged the boots with the torch The agreed they would replace the axles at their cost Feeling bad of the expense they incurred I decided to let them replace the right outer tie rod Phil calls me and states it needs an inner tie rod and the cost is about $295 and I consent Then I get another call and Phil states I need an tie rod end on the left Then I get another call from Phil and he states I need an inner tie rod. Phil calls and says it's ready, 2 days later and the bill is now $589.97 I told Phil I would be in the next day with the check and replied ok. When I arrive in the am to pick up the truck they refuse to accept the check and charge me 3% on the credit card.
