I had a long term mechanic that I was very pleased with for over a decade, he fell on hard times and is no longer servicing cars. That is sad news. Plus it’s hard to find mechanics that you can trust to do excellent work at fair prices. I searched for other mechanics in my area and found Velasquez & Sons so I decided to give them a shot, I have 2 SUV’s..In the past year they’ve serviced both my trucks. I was happy each time. Dustin and the other mechanics are knowledgeable, affordable and most importantly Dustin is a skilled mechanic. Jennifer the receptionist is always so kind with a big smile to greet me. Great work on my exhaust system on my 300C got rid of resonators and swapped my mufflers with Super 10 exhaust on my Hemi and now is loud as I want and going back for more common replacement part issues. Recommend to all great prices friendly staff.

I called this shop on Saturday because my car required an Alternator ASAP, and they immediately informed me I could come in and they would install it and call me in three hours to pick it up. Needed an exhaust install and guy refused to do it right and skipped a step only to get my car with a rattling exhaust and dangling almost touching the ground, I also came here for exhaust tip install and they tack welded it on and left it, 2 months later I lost them on the road because of their mediocre work. Muffler shop on Sheridan is a bit pricier but guaranteed good work, don’t pay twice, pay once to get it done right

10/10 Catalytic converter was stolen in Chicago, got a quote from Merlin Auto for $1,600 called these guys, got me in right way, took care of me for $580 labor+parts and gave me a 1 year warranty. Not to mention they did a fantastic job. Very friendly people, hard workers. Went golfing at Washington Park just 1 mile away while they worked on my car the very day I brought it in. Was done within an hour! Exceptional!
