Terrible service dept. I was trying them over Gunther. I pulled my car at 2:30pm since no one had even looked at it. It was dropped off at 7:45am that day for a dash light called "exhaust manifold malfunction" which is a collection indicator. No one can tell the driver what's wrong by this dash indicator light.. Not happy at all. To le this is not service

They told me in total I'm looking at roughly six and a half thousand dollars to fix my daughter's Volkswagen. Thankfully I told the car out of there two days later to my mechanic on a plan if you can Congress he ran the car through his diagnostic computer and replace one part cost me $120 car is working perfectly the service at Vista Volkswagen are a bunch of fraudsters scammers and should not be allowed to be in the business I will personally be writing to Volkswagen myself.

I went to this dealership to get an issue fixed on my 2015 Jetta. The problem was "my gear was not showing on my dashboard and I had a wrench light on". I took an appointment to get this checked out because in December 2020, I requested a transmission oil change and filters, and I was under the feeling that this issue was related to the service that was performed back then. When I called to get an appointment, the technician told me it would take only 30 minutes to reset the computer and get this issue fixed, claiming that the previous technician may have made a mistake. I then accepted to book an appointment. After the technician made its diagnosis, I was told that the issue was coming from one wire broken off and needed to be replaced. See below the diagnosis report: "Found DTC P0977 Shift solenoid B control circuit high. Performed diagnosis and found wire broken off. Advised wire repair needed to correct concern". I got 2 connectors and 1 wire changed on my car. (ref: 000-979-025-ea wires and 000-979-940 connectors). I barely drive my car since I work remotely all the time, I couldn't notice this issue right after the maintenance was performed in December 2020 and I think this issue must have appeared along time. After waiting during 2 hours for this diagnosis to be performed, which was supposed to take “only 30 minutes”, I got a quote for replacing the wire ($270). I made some research afterward and realized that this connector is located in the valve body of the automatic transmission. So here is my question, I'm not a mechanic and always trusted my dealership to take care of my car, "how can you explain that this wire was broken off ?". In my humble opinion, the technician that took care of my car in December 2020 definitely did a bad job replacing my transmission oil and filter, unplugged the connector and probably forced to replug it, damaged my connector and who has to pay now ? me the customer.... But that’s not it! I was also told that I needed my brake fluid to be flushed and replaced, and my engine air filter and spark plugs to be replaced. This other operations brought my invoice from $270 to $503 since I declined the engine air filter and spark plugs replacement. Being mad from being scammed, while I was driving home, I stopped to a local garage to get my air filter checked out. Surprisingly, the technician told me that my air filter was clean and not dirty like their VW technician mentioned. I didn’t want to bother this honest technician so I didn’t request from him to check my spark plugs but he told me that if I had issues with my spark plugs then my car would be misfiring or something. So now, I fully lost my faith in this service center and also I am feeling robbed by them! I’m publishing this on your google reviews because people should be aware of their malversation. To conclude, to perform the brake fluid flush, I was told it would take 1 more hour. I waited 2 extra hours. Total I spent 4h15 waiting for my car to be done! Wasted time and money for something I couldn’t break or be held responsible. They will never see me again in their dealership and they should be ashamed doing that to their customers! I contacted their service manager Paul Mitchell to express my disappointment. He made it even worst. He sent me a PDF containing the recommended maintenance that should be performed on a 2015 Passat! I own a 2015 Jetta! you ignorant! He apologized regarding the times quoted stating that they are understaffed because of covid. I spent 4 hours in their dealership and most of the staff aren't even applying the CDC guidelines that they proudly display at their entrance. I saw couple employees not wearing masks or even better, I saw one of them, wearing a mask before entering then taking it off after passing the door. So don't ask me to feel sorry for your regarding your Covid struggle, you are creating your own struggle! You are all pathetic and disrespectful, I definitely lost confidence on this place! But thanks to Paul Mitchell for telling me: "You have the right to voice your concern". Here it is!
