Our battery died and we drove to a national auto parts store that advertises they will install your battery after you purchase it. After they refused to install a battery for us, we called this location knowing that we would arrive 15 minutes before they closed. We were told they would stay open if needed. Even with paying $12 for the installation, we saved money by getting our battery at this location. The best part, however, was not the money we saved it was the customer service. Sterling is awesome and Walmart should pay him to teach a class on customer service to other locations. He is an excellent communicator and even assisted with the battery installation. We will be back.

Bought tires off their website and when i came to get them installed, they said they couldn't mount the tires on my wheels because they were too big (22's on factory Edge Sport wheels). Why sell the tires if you can't mount them. Had to go to Firestone and pay $40 to get them to mount them. They didn't have any trouble at all. Should've just gone there to begin with!

Probably the worst tire center in town. They will take your vehicle in and drag it out to the end of the day so they don't have to do anything else. You can literally watch them walk around for 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours doing nothing getting in their vehicle leaving and coming back. All while you wait patiently. There's no sense of hurry. Then when you actually hear the mechanics talking they're busy complaining about you're not going to overwork me.

Slow. Noone responds when someone ask questions. I drove to lube lane to change my cars’ oil. Noone shows up. Later I tried to talk with one of the technicians. They heard me and said something in sluggish voice and tuen around and never return to talk to me. After an hour a lady came to me asking why I didn’t asked for help. She took my car to change lube and things get done within half hours. At the checkout, my key was on the counter ready for checkout. I asked if they are ready to checkout but they said they were waiting for paperwork. Paperwork never came in for another 20 minutes. When I asked, they went to ask for the paper to technicians. One of the technicians came in and pulled the papers from the drawer underneath. Checked out in a minute. Not sure if I should laugh or cry.

Wow. Thanks for the total waste of time. We waited an hour to get a new tire put on our rim. Not even on a car. The 60 seconds it would've taken to check and see if the tire was in stock were too many. I know plenty well you can check that, and quite easily. Instead at least four cars were done before us that arrived after us, and then we're told they don't even have the tire. I'm glad you made a 5 minute job and hour-long, job not done at all. Honestly pathetic Walmart. A literal child could've figured this one out.

Appt set from 4-5 pm for two tires replaced. At 6 PM the app showed that my tires had been installed. When I got there at 6:15 PM, they had not been installed. I asked two guys that worked there what was going on and they said they just work here. Are you kidding me! Totally incompetent. Now I have to order tires again and go somewhere else. Good times. Update: after not getting tires installed, I was charged a 2nd time for tires. I have received the reimbursement for the first charge…still waiting on remainder and it has been a week. Called 1-800-Wal-Mart 4 times. Terrible! FINAL update: I spoke with a manager named Kevin and explained the problem to him. The issue has been resolved. Kevin was attentive and dealt with the problem immediately.. I still would not recommend the Opelika Walmart auto care Center.

I got to the Walmart to get some new tires and was told it would be a long wait. There was only two servicemen working on the cars and they stayed late to make sure I got my new tires .I would just like to thank Ronald Marianne Mike and Shannon for all their help in getting me new tires!! I definitely appreciate the courtesy and extra effort that was put into getting that done!

Ordered my tires to the store and they never scanned them in. I went to the store and found them on the rack myself after a week of being told over the phone they hadn’t received them even though my order showed they had been delivered. When they installed the tires they scratched the rims and they didn’t balance them correctly. Had to take them elsewhere to get balanced.

Our family traveled to Georgia from South Alabama. We had a blowout on I85 and didn’t want to chance traveling over 200 miles on a doughnut spare. We contacted Walmart in Opelika to get a new tire and back on the road safely. The young lady said they worked by appointment ONLY and could not help us. We were able to find a Firestone tire in Opelika and they took really good care of us and was able to get home safely.

June 2025: The technician failed to reattach the splash shield…. 30 seconds of inaction is turning into a big headache. 2024 review: The team members working on the cars have always done a great job; 5 stars for them. Walmart is understaffed and it shows. This squeeze puts the team members in a difficult place.

I had a flat tire and it's been two and a half hours They lied and made it seem like the car was being serviced. and they still haven't fixed it. These people don't care about me and don't take any responsibility.

I showed up 10 minutes early for my 5:00 PM **appointment** to get two tires replaced. Had to wait 20 minutes for them to actually check me in, and then they didn’t finish until after 7:30 PM. Absolutely ridiculous!

I normally have a decent experience here, but the last one was absurd. I showed up to my appointment to be told they didn't have the filter for my car, but if I went to an auto store I could purchase one for them to use. I find it absurd to be asked to bring supplies to their service offered. Also, if they didn't have the ability to provided my service I would expect a phone call prior to my appointment that had been scheduled for days.

The ACC coach in the area (name removed) was adamant that must double pay for a single tire install on a rim because of how it was checked in. Would not release the rim and tire even after proving it was paid for and treating to call the police. (I had prepaid for the installation with the purchase of the tire.) When I called Walmart corporate for the refund that (name removed) promised they did not understand either and acted flabbergasted. I do feel the shop team members do well, but personally feel that (name removed) was just trying to pump up the sales for her department.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I showed up at 7am and waited 20 minutes for the doors to even open because they needed the key from management. I was 2nd in line for an oil change. I then waited 2 and a half hours for them to ultimately cancel my service because my car doesn’t have a dip stick. I mean it’s just RIDICULOUS. absolutely no professionalism whatsoever. DO NOT GO HERE. it’s worth the extra $50 to go somewhere else and get treated like a human being. Missed an hour and a half of work and wasn’t offered any kind of compensation. A simple oil change that could’ve taken 10-20 minutes is apparently too difficult. I was willing to give them grace for being understaffed until they completely wasted my time. Not a single person in the bay could’ve spoke up earlier that they couldn’t do the service?
