Absolute wonderful experience! I brought my car in for an inspection with the fear that the dealership I purchased it from was not 100% forthcoming with the extent of repairs that had been performed on the car. The team at Wicke Auto took the time to do a comprehensive assessment of any damage and did not charge me a dime (even when I offered). Wicke Auto put my mind at ease and I now feel that should my car have any issues in the future I have a trusted shop to take it to. Highly recommend!

My daughter’s Chrysler was stalling. They diagnosed it, researched the issue, figured out it required the dealer, gave us an assessment that it was ok to drive home, which was a huge relief, because my daughter was graduating and would have been stuck without the car to get home. Total charge? Zero. Now they knew she was going home, they’ll never see her again. What motivation did they have for not charging her anything? Just one as best I can tell: they are honest decent people. Thank you, Jeff, from the bottom of my heart. You go to the mechanic, hoping they’ll repair your car, but sometimes they restore your faith in humanity.

As a new resident of Missouri and Saint Louis I had a lot of trouble finding a mechanic and shop that was honest, knowledgeable and reliable. After my car broke down due to a large pot hole that caused electrical failure in the system I was told by one of my new neighbors to use Wicke Auto Service. I walked into the shop and was welcomed with a genuine smile from Jeff. I explained what had happened and asked if they could investigate and repair. The team ran diagnostics, changed out my spark plugs, and vacuumed the excess oil. When I came back in to follow up Jeff informed me of a compression issue in Cylinder 4. He spent a good deal of time explaining what that meant, the tests they did and what he would recommend. I didn’t feel cheated or that I was being taken advantage of. After leaving the shop I left more knowledgeable and confident in the resolution for my vehicle. The team was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend using this shop for any of your repair needs and that includes daily maintenance like oil changes.

I'm not from St. Louis but I will always recommend Wicke Auto to anyone local or passing through. (If you don't want to read the story just skip to the bottom couple paragraphs) Here's why: I was traveling across Missouri on I-44 during Christmas weekend and the plan was to stay overnight in St. Louis. I had my wife, dog, and 3 month old baby with me. During the trip it was really dark and raining and due to these conditions I hit a shredded semi tire on the road. Within 5 minutes my van was overheating. The radiator was beyond fixing. We limped our way to Joplin and made it to our Air Bnb at midnight. I knew there were several things that could be seriously wrong with the van so I was trying to figure out where to go. I got up at 6 the next morning to start calling around and looking for a shop. After looking at my options and calling about 10 different shops I did not feel confident that any of them would be able to get me back on the road in a timely manner. That was until I called Wicke Auto. After speaking to Jeff at Wicke I knew that these guys would be capable and do everything in their power to get me back on the road. Not only did these guys rush to get my van fixed that morning, they actually went out to get the parts themselves since the shop was closing early due to it being Christmas weekend. They did quality work fast. I'm really thankful I talked to Jeff. He made sure I was taken care of and even gave me a bit of a Christmas gift of a cheaper bill on the repairs. I was able to make it home to my family in Indiana that day. Thank you Wicke Auto crew!

Jeff and the entire Wicke team are the epitome of an honest, efficient, and customer-first business, and I would recommend their operation for any car issues! They are well worth the drive across town! I've been taking my older car soley to Wicke for 3+ years now, and each time I left appreciating the great service and no-nonsense, fair price for the work performed. From saftey inspections, tire & windsheild repair, to brake and exhaust issues, each time they have effectively diagnosed the problem, called me before repairs with multiple options and price points, and offered an honest opinion on what I should do considering my car's age and mileage. This includes 2 times where they actually made less money because they gave an honest assesment of what was needed/not needed. Wicke Auto Shop is my trusted shop for any car repairs, and I will continue to go there with all of my vehicles in the future! Their attention to detail (including even putting away my spare tire and jack after a tire repair) does not go unnoticed, and their effeciency to return your car on the same day is quite impressive. Over the last 3 years, Jeff and team have saved me atleast $2000 over multiple issues and kept my car running well. I appreciate all they've done for me and would recommend them to anyone in need of car repair/maintenance. They are a hidden gem in STL!

Highly recommend Wicke Auto! Someone decided to vandalize my car, and the replacement part was 500 bucks. I took it to Wicke Auto per a friend's recommendation, and Joe offered to try and glue the part back together for free - no issues so far! Also got a quote on another repair, and the price on the replacement part was very reasonable - no insane up-charge that other places might quote. Will 100% be returning for any work I need done in the future. Great service, great people.

What came from a popped tire on the car wash rail, of course turned to 2 & of course when they got it up, a much bigger issue was found. Had they not found the rod issue, who knows what could have happened when doing 60+ on the interstate! I appreciate Wicke's thorough attention to detail & the prompt service! It was also nice I could get my needed inspections done while there too.

I had such a great experience at Wicke Auto Recently, I took my car in for an oil change and inspection after purchasing it. The team was incredibly honest and straightforward—they took the time to inspect my car and let me know it didn’t actually need anything at this point, and didn't charge me anything. They didn’t try to sell me unnecessary services, which is rare and much appreciated. There’s a real neighborhood feel to this place, and it’s clear they care about their customers. Fantastic experience from start to finish. I contacted the company asking for a repair estimate after my 2015 Subaru Outback was damaged in a parking garage. Was able to get the estimate done the same day and impressed overall by the friendliness, customer focus, and professionalism of the shop staff. I chose Wicke to the work based on this engagement and the end result exceeded all my expecations with work done perfectly and in a timely manner. A long established family business in the Central West End Wicke earned my trust and i will utilize them for other service related work in the future. I had my car towed to Wicke after it died while driving it. They misdiagnosed my problem, charged me $330 to “fix it” and then my car broke again in the exact same way 2 days after I picked the car up. Will not be coming back

Good people and a real gem in the community. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, I am always hesitant to try a new mechanic shop. I brought my car in for a problem in the hatch, and Wicke Auto went above and beyond diagnosing the problem, explaining my options each step of the way. While I was waiting for a repair, I had the pleasure of hearing them giving other customers clear explanations, genuine care, and above and beyond helpfulness - even going so far as to walk to a local woman's garage because her car wouldn't start! I called up to this place over my lunch hour asking if I should drop my car off first thing in the morning to get an ID/OD and emissions test (the answer I was given by 2 other places). I was asked if I could swing by during my lunch hour, and less than half an hour from the time I called, it was finished. Very happy with their service.

I'd love to talk about their actual car repair service, but I couldn't even get that far. I had a car towed there and they seemed annoyed that I had the audacity to bring a broken car to an auto mechanic. After being told the car needed a new alternator, only then was I informed of the diagnostic fee, which would have been nice to know beforehand. That was enough to have me pay to get the car towed somewhere else.
