This is long story short: I came in to get headlight bulbs replaced. They quoted $124, then doubled it mid way thru saying the wiring needed reinforcing. Then called back a third time to state the passenger side headlight was not working and it would be another $672 to diagnose it! I asked why so much, they made up some excuse about a “European car charge”! Really? I ended up taking it to my Volvo guys at SVS Volvo and they stated that two parts needed replacing. I am suspecting AAA dude messed it up! I won’t go there ever again and you shouldn’t either!!

My spouse had someone attempt to break into his car on Veteran's Day. This resulted in a broken window and damage to his ignition and steering column. He didn't want to risk driving it with the damage to the ignition so he called AAA to tow it to this service center (nearest to us at the time.) That ended up being a mistake as we soon learned how absolutely unprofessional and extortive this shop was. He was told he would get a call from the AAA service center on the following day since they were closed for Veteran's Day. No worries there. End of the following day comes and he has gotten no call. He calls them and gets a "Oh sorry we've been super busy with appointments but we'll look at it tomorrow." That's fine. We understand sometimes shops are slammed but a courtesy call would have been nice. Next day, no call. Husband has to call on his own again for them to finally say "Oh yeah we looked at it and here's what's wrong but we're still getting quotes for the part prices." When he asked if he could get the quotes for labor over the phone he's further told "Oh I can't give you a quote over the phone because I'm not a technician and your technician needed to go home early for a family emergency." Mind you, my husband isn't able to drive in to the office while his car is stuck at their shop. He's actively losing money. Finally by the end of Thursday when my Husband calls again (because again, at this point this shop has NOT called him - he has had to initiate EVERY CALL just to see what's wrong with his vehicle) they give us a quote of almost *TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS*. When we go through line by line, there's several issues with their billing that caused it to inflate this high First - a $170 charge just for initially looking at it to see what was wrong. I've seen this before, but usually it's insurance for the shop in case you get your repairs done elsewhere and gets applied to the repair - NOT HERE. Second - their parts were quoted at 2-3x what they were on the car company's own OEM parts. They later explained it's because they "get their parts from the dealers." I understand they need to try and get some profit here but 2-3x is absolutely criminal. Third and honestly the worst for me - they billed their labor at a minimum rate for *every single repair*. Every listed repair had a minimum repair charge of $199 for labor. Normally these kinds of minimums apply if you have a tiny repair you're doing at the shop and if you're having multiple repairs done the minimum only applies if ALL the repairs are under that minimum time. Not here. The repairs were scheduled to be done by Monday, but at this point we had zero trust in this shop's timelines so we rented a car from Monday to Thursday for the following week. Good thing we did, because we had no word by end of day Monday on his car. My husband called Tuesday just to hear "Oh yeah we're still waiting on a part but should be done Wednesday." Again - THEY DIDN'T THINK BOTHERING TO LET US KNOW ABOUT THE DELAY WAS WORTH A CALL. My husband had to follow up to even hear about this. We get to Wednesday and for the first time in this entire process my husband gets a call from the AAA service center. We were shocked after a week and a half they finally bothered to actually initiate the call and inform us that the part was further delayed but that the repair should be all done by Thursday. This time, they finally were right and we were able to finally pick up his car 10 days after it had been dropped off. On pickup they told my husband "We actually didn't need to use one of the steering column parts (quoted at $200) but the other part of the steering column was more expensive so it matched the previous quote." Extremely Scammy. The only reason this review is two stars instead of one is because they actually did the work. But between their extreme unprofessionalism of requiring us to follow up repeatedly to get any updates as well as their extremely extortionist pricing, we will never bring any cars here again and severely warn anyone else from bringing their cars here.

Started out good. Nice service in the office. They offered a Lyft because I had to leave my car for awhile. I had an oil change, tire rotation, windshield wiper change, and diagnostic on my a/c. They called to give me an "update" on my car. Said they found the problem with my a/c and fixed it and would be an additional charge of @ $30. The cost was fine but they did it before I said ok. My car was ready. I picked it up and checked the a/c to make sure it was working. All good. Drove out and noticed the leaves I arrived with still under the windshield wipers. I pulled over and the blades were filthy. I returned to the store and they said they changed them and showed me the old ones. I did not know that they were charging me $60 in labor to do this. They could have at least removed the leaves and wiped the blades. They offered to come out and remove the leaves then. Pointless. Who knows if the actually rotated my tires that they charged $30 to do. Les Schwab and Big O does rotation and windshield wiper changes for free even without a service being done. Horrible customer care. Many other places to go with better prices and quality.

This place is new around here. Today was my first time coming here. I needed to come in because I needed some repairs on my vehicle. The establishment is clean and super neat & spacious. When I walked in, there was only 1 person behind the counter. The guy which I didn’t catch his name checked me in for my appointment and was explaining process. Since my car needed repairs that would require it to stay there few hours I had to leave it at the shop and pick it up later. I mentioned to the guy working there that I was going to probably either get a Lyft or call my wife to pick me up. He just says ok no worries. Then as I sit and wait, I call my wife and let her know the situation. Another customer walks in and similarly, he has to leave his car behind. Well, the same guy that checked me in immediately offers him a Lyft for free. I’m there like “wth”. So then I say can I get a Lyft too and the guy says “you have to tell your consultant”. Which my consultants name is Hue, he had been outside taking photos of the car. So the guy relays the message that I need a ride to Hue. Hue, says of course and proceeds to request a Lyft ride. In other words if you come in here and need a ride they got you covered you may have to ask in case they choose not to offer it to you. I picked up my car right before closing and everything looked good, until it got dark out and I noticed my headlight was not working. Coincidence idk. But now my headlight doesn’t work. So make sure you check everything before you leave. Otherwise, good spot to take your vehicle for repairs. Keep in mind you don’t have to be a AAA member. Now if you are, you get 10% off. I do appreciate the Consultant I got, his name is Hue, we talked a few times on phone to discuss repairs and options and all posible discounts. From my experience I would recommend asking for Hue if you want the best service, Super friendly guy.

Came here for the first time but will not be returning. I needed an oil change and an overall check of my car since I would be going on a roadtrip. Oil change on its own was a little pricy but needed to get done. They called me a few hours later to let me know they found additional things that needed replacement (serpentine belt, rear shocks and rear wiper blade). I saw pictures they sent of the belt and decided to proceed with the work as well as the wiper blade. He didn’t go into detail about the itemized price of each item. I pickup my car and I pay, he hands me the paperwork, not going over anything and I decide to review it once I’m in my car. Everything seemed ok until I get to the wiper blade. Total labor: $62.70 and $55.25 for the part for a grand total of $117.95. To replace ONE wiper blade??? I thought it was a mistake and went back in to double check. All he could tell me was that it was correct and it was expensive because it was the rear. No further explanation. I looked up a YouTube video to see how difficult or time consuming this job was. To my surprise it takes roughly one minute to do this. So how is it that the labor for this was higher than the labor for my oil change ($43.16)?? I’m embarrassed writing this and feel like I was taken advantage of. I expected more from AAA but it looks like they are just another money hungry company. Please save your money and your time and DO NOT GO HERE. Edit: pretty sure it’s a bot automatically responding to these reviews since I haven’t heard back from anyone.

Had a coolant leak. Took to a repair shop near me. They changed two parts but still leaking. I was then informed I needed a new water pump. Before I paid for another repair, I wanted a second opinion. I have been a member with AAA for over 40 years, so I decided to have my car towed to a AAA Repair Shop. AAA informed me the problem was with one of the parts that the first shop replaced. I went back to the first shop without the car and they called AAA to discuss the issue. After speaking with AAA, the mechanic at the first shop informed me he did not believe they did a pressure test but probably just looked at it. I called AAA Repair Shop myself and found out that indeed they just looked and no pressure test was performed. I informed them I was paying a diagnostic fee to discover where the leak was coming from not to just look at it. I wanted a pressure test done. AAA called me back after they did the pressure test and confirmed that the water pump needed to be replaced. I had to decide what to do so I went to their AAA Repair Shop website. After looking at the website I decided to have my car repaired there. I liked that they offered a free Digital Vehicle Inspection straight to your phone with any paid service. I'm very disappointed I never received the Digital Inspection. I asked three times about the Digital Inspection with no results. I'm left with a very bad taste in my mouth. If AAA can't honor what they advertise on their website, how can I feel confident the repairs were performed correctly? The only time I will ever return to the AAA Repair Shop is if the car repairs they performed fail and have to go back because of the warranty.

I mistakenly gave them a good review same day got an oil change Saturday 5/24/25. After driving home wheel alignment not fixed even the the customer rep who helped me claimed they found nothing wrong w my alignment and that my front tire pressure just was low. Didn't go over what they did to my car and I wondered why the oil change was done so fast. It's AAA , I trusted they hire reputable mechanics. The guy seemed nice, but I did get a vibe that he just wanted to get me out quick. Now this morning the malfunction indicator light warning comes on. I will never take my car here again. Waste of money and I can't afford to pay another mechanic for the mishaps AAA repair mechanic caused.

I went in for a system check to discover why my battery was dying so quickly. They were able to explain the problem with actually charging me $190. I had them also do an oil change. They were very quick and professional.

I am very pleased with the service and repair work I received from AAA Arden in Sacramento. They were all very professional, but hats off specifically to Nick. He made sure that I got back and forth to work everyday while my car was being serviced; he even price matched the cost of service when I informed him that I could get it cheaper elsewhere after having my vehicle towed to their service center. Additionally, they were honest in advising me that the reason for all of my warning lights being on (on the panel) was due to a disconnected sensor had been detached during a “side” brake job last year. Honesty is really hard to find these days, so I am very impressed with this place. They took great care of me and my car. Thank you!!

They gave me an estimate of $3800 dollars for brakes and to fix my trunk. $3200 was for my brakes alone. I then took my vehicle to another shop and paid $700 dollars. AAA was trying to charge me for parts that my car didn't even need. I do not recomed them at all. As someone who has AAA , I felt like they were trying to scam me. If you take your car to the AAA shop on Arden, make sure you get a second opinion at another shop. I bet it will be much cheaper.

I took my car here to get a second opinion, after another AAA shop screwed up my car. They seem ("seem" is the key word here)like they do a professional job at this shop. However, they do the same thing as other shops where they don't call you back when you leave a message on their phones-which is irritating for any car owner. And they simply diagnosed the car, and said they wouldn't work on the car because they wouldn't don't want to get involved with the previous repair shop-I think for obvious (legal) reasons, which is understandable. I'm trying my best to be fair in my review here... I'd honestly suggest taking your car to the dealership of your car's brand over any AAA repair shop at this point.

Passing thru Sacramento I had a car emergency. So grateful to luck up on this AAA shop. Everyone, from Eric the tow truck driver, to phone calls with Jeremy and one other gentleman (sorry I can’t recall his name), to Evelyn, technician extraordinaire, were kind and compassionate. Evelyn took the time to explain everything that was done and provided great advice on what to do should I encounter a similar situation. I drove away with a couple thousand miles ahead of me feeling safe and confident.

This was a AAA experience, and my luxury vehicle was towed to the AAA Sacramento Arden Auto Repair Center on Arden Way after a very stressful flat tire situation. From the moment I arrived, Jeremy S., the manager, handled everything with professionalism, empathy, and integrity. There was a concern during the visit, and what truly stood out was how Jeremy chose to handle it. Rather than pointing fingers or placing blame on the tow company or anyone else involved, he focused on finding a fair resolution and making sure I felt taken care of. His communication was clear, calm, and respectful throughout the entire process. I was starting to feel overwhelmed and emotional, and Jeremy’s tone, body language, and overall presence immediately put me at ease. He made it very clear that he was on my side and that the situation would be worked out. As a woman and as someone who takes pride in caring for a high-value vehicle, that level of reassurance and professionalism meant everything to me. Trust is everything when it comes to car services — especially with luxury vehicles — and Jeremy absolutely earned mine. It’s clear he is committed to elevating this AAA location through accountability, leadership, and genuine care for customers. Because of him, I feel confident returning here and recommending this location to others who value quality, professionalism, and trust.

Due to past bad experiences at a DIFFERENT quick lube shop, I cautiously approached this AAA store for oil change. Phillip was very patient and helpful, addressing my concerns and even getting work done ahead of schedule. Clean and Pleasant waiting room was a bonus. I expect to return in the future.

I took my car here and had excellent service. The manager, Jeremmy, was friendly and assured me they would thoroughly look into what was going on with my vehicle, and that’s exactly what they did. My car was fixed quickly, thank you to their mechanic David, and I was on my way. Highly, highly recommend this AAA auto repair location!
