I took my vehicle to the dealership due to an electrical issue, and they were charging between $500 and $700 just for the diagnosis—plus any additional repairs, welding, or services required. A friend recommended AB Auto Service, and that was the best recommendation I could have received. They only charged me $245 for the diagnosis and $198.50 for the repair. I saved a significant amount of money compared to what the dealership was asking, which included diagnostics, repairs, labor, and parts. I could have easily spent a couple of thousand dollars there. However, at AB Auto Service, I was able to resolve my issue at a fair price and left extremely satisfied with their service. AB Auto is hands down the best mechanic in Syracuse! He really takes the time to look over your car and truly knows how to diagnose what’s going on. Instead of just fixing one thing and sending you on your way, he actually calls you, sits down, and explains everything you need to know in detail. The customer service is excellent — always responsive, honest, and professional. On top of that, his prices are very fair and affordable. Alain is my go-to for any and all car problems! He's thorough and does great work, but he also takes the time to explain the problems and the recommended repairs. When the car gets a diagnostic, he takes videos to show exactly the issue and explain how he'll fix it. He's also very understanding about limited budgets and will help prioritize work based on the most urgent needs as well as opting for repairs that require more labor but fewer parts in order to save me money. Can't recommend him highly enough!
