I needed to have the wheel locks taken off my car (the key had been stripped) and these guys not only did in ten minutes but also charged significantly less than every other place I called. They also helped me find a cheaper way to fix another problem on my car, instead of upselling me on their services. I have never had that good service and honestly with a mechanic before and I will be going back to them for absolutely everything moving forward.

If I could give six stars, I would!! I have been a customer of Joshua's (the owner and lead mechanic) for several years. And not only is he a wonderful man, but he is a brilliant mechanic -- He diagnosed and fixed a problem on my 92' Volvo 240 that two other shops could not. And he is a very compassionate man.... And his rates are very reasonable :) You can breathe easily with my man, Josh.

We stopped here unexpectedly late in the business day because one of the bolts was missing on our tire. We had just driven up to Boston to pick up our daughter for Thanksgiving. Though they didn't have time to complete the repair, the gentleman in the garage was so considerate to look at the tire and tighten up all the lug nuts on ALL our tires at no charge. We really appreciate this act of kindness!

Not sure why I had not rated this place yet... one more 5-star review! Absolutely love these guys, it's not always easy to find a mechanic you can trust but you can count on Phil and his crew! I am no car expert but I know some basics, not only these guys are extremely nice and helpful, they also do a great job at a (very) fair price. We have been in the city for over 10 years, hopping from garage to garage with hit or miss experiences. After buying a used car and dropping by APA upon recommendations, we now have a place we can call "our garage"! Not planning on ever going anywhere else - unless we leave the country of course... 🤪

I was told to bring my vehicle in at 9am, when they open, for an oil change. I provided year and model of vehicle. No one showed up until 9:17. I was then told they couldn't do the oil change without explanation. What a waste of time.

We are so lucky to have Phil and Josh down the street. For many years we have been very fortunate recipients of their skills and kindness. They are always able to schedule a repair or service in a reasonable time. Often in the middle of a repair on the lift they will stop check/fix a tire, listen to a worrisome sound or assess some other issue. Whenever car stuff comes up with neighbors and friends it’s always ,“ Oh yeah, we go to Phil and Josh!!!”, followed by knowing smiles and hearty appreciation. These guys are the best.

I was really stressed because I thought my alternator was gone. Phil was really helpful and kind on the phone, gave me a very reasonable quote, and explained why the cost was what it was. When I brought the car in, he identified that the problem was much simpler than what I thought (my battery lead just needed to be tightened) so he just took care of that for me!
