Having an older model car, I've had a hard time finding a reliable mechanic to provide service for my 1998 Volvo. American Auto Care has proven to not only provide basic services - oil changes, brakes, etc. - but has been able to diagnose and correct my troublesome "check engine" light issue. Mike and his crew are top notch mechanics. I'd recommend American Auto Care to everyone.

I was traveling from out of town when the air conditioner went out in my van. It was hot and I was miserable. A friend recommended this shop and said to ask for Jr. I'm so thankful I came over here. Jr had a smile on his face, he was really polite and professional. Even though it was after hours, he stayed late and fixed my problem. I couldn't believe it when he told me how much he was going to charge me. So much less than I expected! I couldn't be more happy right now. I want to take Jr to dinner and spoil him! I would highly recommend his service to anyone. Outstanding.

I had the pleasure of talking with Mike and man, you cannot meet a more genuine and honest person. My 2005 Mazda6 needed an AC Compressor changed and Mike explained in detail what steps needed to be taken in order to finish it. During the job, Mike kept me updated on estimated times promptly and concisely. At one point, Mike called to notify the condition on a pulley bearing that he could've done discretely but instead let me decide before operating extra on my car. If you need something done on your car, I'd recommend this place. I will definitely come back with any auto trouble I come across.

I have been to this repair shop twice. The owner, Mike, was very helpful and a detail oriented person. He took his time to explain to me my car's issues and the most inexpensive way to fix. Mike is not out to make an abundant profit and make a fortune out of other people. I brought my car to a different repair shop prior to going to American Auto Care and I was told they could repair my car for the price of $1,250.00. I looked around for different shops in town with good reviews and found American Auto. I am glad I went to him and as expected, I am advised on everything they did to my car. Most importantly, I have been getting follow up phone calls from the owner to make sure the problem did not re-occur. All repairs they do is guaranteed and thank you for the honesty. Worth bringing my cars for future services to this shop.

I arrived a little early in the morning for my appointment for a vehicle safety inspection. The techs noticed I was in the office and they kindly and immediately focused on my appointment while they were getting ready to start their day. The administration team was just as kind, professional, and attentive towards my time and business too. These people made sure I was taken care of before they even had a chance to have their morning coffee! It was a very pleasant, timely, and genuine service. ⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience I had a very frustrating experience dealing with this situation from start to finish. I purchased a vehicle from Junior with the understanding that everything was straightforward, only to later find out the car does not run properly and cannot pass smog, which made it impossible for me to register it in my name. What made things worse is that this issue was known, yet I was still expected to move forward as if it wasn’t a problem. Instead of working toward a fair solution, I was pressured and threatened with demands for additional money while the car itself remained unusable. The communication became aggressive and dismissive, and responsibility was pushed back on me even though the vehicle could not legally be transferred without passing smog. I feel misled, unsupported, and stuck with a car I couldn’t use or register. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to get everything in writing, confirm smog and registration status beforehand, and be very careful. This experience cost me time, money, and a lot of unnecessary stress.
