I’m making an edit on this. So service was good and efficient but the people running the shop aren’t always polite or patient. Overall my car runs great, and I haven’t had bad mechanic service, customer service attitude does matter though. And I’ve had some rough experiences with their front desk staff. I don’t know if I am the only woman who has experienced this at Atlantic Tire Cary Maynard but when I asked for the service men at front desk to explain an expensive repair to my car they said it needed, they tried to be short with me and say what the parts were and how long it would take. I had to ask at least 3 times for the person and be assertive to explain what needed to be fixed my car, why should I do it then and how it worked with the inner workings of my car. They finally explained and then I agreed to pay for the repair. They are also very short and rude on the phone. Even when I explained what I wanted them to examine based on my observations driving my vehicle, they acted annoyed with me and like what I asked wasn’t worth looking at even though it later turned out to be serious.

My cousin perfectly described the symptoms of a failing battery. This shop decided they still had to perform and charge for a full diagnostic. Then when it was just the battery tried to charge over $400 for the battery in addition to the hefty diagnostic fee. When my cousin tried to just retrieve the vehicle, the shop would not jump it because they couldn't get the trunk open. None of this is unethical, but it is about the worst customer service at this price point I've ever heard of. Do not recommend.

While visiting friends in Cary, I had the misfortune of running over a bolt while getting my morning coffee. Considering I was supposed to leave the following morning at 5am and drive 800 miles, I called Atlantic Tire in a panic. What a great experience I had with them. They were able to take a look at the tire just minutes after it suffered the damage. They explained the the nail was in the sidewall of this run-flat tire and the whole thing needed to be replaced. Because I drive a MINI Cooper, with weird little tire, they did not have the product I needed in their warehouse. They were genuinely helpful by suggesting a few other local places that might have been able to help. Fast-forward to later that day, I drove all the way to the MINI dealership in Raleigh to buy a replacement tire. They insisted that they could not install it and that I would not be able to get my car looked at until Monday. How ridiculous. So back I went to Atlantic Tire! They squeezed me in that day and replaced the tire for $30 before 5pm. Top notch service. I was able to get on the road as planned the following day. Definitely consider them for your tire/service needs. The staff was friendly and professional, not to mention accommodating.

Overall, I am very happy with my experience with Atlantic Tire, and have used them for years. I highly recommend this location in particular for all of your car service needs. They are very honest about what your car needs, and they are happy to explain using data what is best for you and your car. Here are some notes after my most recent visit though: - The mileage sticker was not replaced, and the one that was removed was not fully removed. I only get my oil changed here, so I’d hoped they would replace that and not leave a mess. - My tires needed to be inflated, and I was told they were (thank you!), but my tire pressure light never went off. They mentioned it would after a few miles, but it hasn’t. Makes me question if they were actually inflated. - No windshield washer fluid was added, and this has been a pattern. Not a huge deal, but kinda sucks. - In the past, I decided to return to this location because they would go above and beyond — plastic seat covers to keep my car clean, paper floor mats, they would vacuum my car, all of which they haven’t done in years (for me). While not required or a big deal, I really liked this as it was more than other places do. This is the key reason I am a repeat customer today, so sad to see this has stopped. Again, while not required, I would highly recommend they bring this type of service back, as it really leaves a positive impact on customers.

Great experience here and everyone here were really friendly and nice. Much cheaper and faster than the dealership by almost 67% which is an astronomical price difference. Thanks and will definitely come here in the future for my car care needs rather than the dealership which is very costly. Got a catalytic converter and air oxygen sensors here.

I had a scheduled appointment with Atlantic Tire & Service for my State Inspection on my White, 2013 Ford Explorer for a second time at the Maynard location in Cary, NC. I got lost again as usual and drove all over town relying on Google Maps! Lets just say I was late about 20 or 30 minutes and they still took me in for my vehicle inspection. Excellent customer service as always with me. My 2013 Ford Explorer is my service vehicle for my doctor appts and few errands that I have to rely on since I am a disabled TSA Officer now. I cant say anything more about Atlantic Tire & Service in Cary, NC because their reputation speaks volume. Thank you!!!

No fuss, courteous and kind, quick and reasonably priced service. There was an aging part that was pointed out and explained to me as something I would need to address at some point in the future. I was offered, but not at all pressured into completing that additional service that day, and they were happy to answer any and all of my questions. They provided documentation of the issue and allowed me to make the decision. Other shops and dealerships might have pressured me into having it done immediately, but this place seemed honest and straightforward about it, which I really appreciate.

Generally good auto-mechanic shop. I've been to this location and the Durham, Miami Blvd location with similar experiences. To my knowledge, the prices are fair and the work is well done. Appointments are readily available and easy to schedule online for general service. The only thing I wish was that they'd take some time to explain potential upcoming problems (but maybe I've just had good luck and not needed it).

I took my car today for them to check a noise coming from the back of my car. They told me that just for they to check the car, I had to pay a fee of $145. I decided to trust them, based on the reviews. But as soon as I walk into the office, things started to go wrong. The guy at the counter was a little rude. When I tried to explain the issue with my car and the noise, he just told me that he wasn’t in charge of that and that the techs were the ones to take a look at the car. So, I ask to speak with a technician to explain the issue, and they just ignored me. I had to leave to work, so against my best judgment, I decided to trust them and left the car. A couple of hours later, a receive a message with a quote about the parts that needed to be replaced and the service that the techs suggested for the car. I went personally there and asked to speak with the tech to walk me through the issues with my car, and once again, I was ignored. Since I took a break from work to go there, I thought that Atlantic Tire must be a serious business, so I authorized the repairs. Long story short, I pick up my car and the noise, the main reason for me to take the car to Atlantic tire, was still there!!! I went back and told them about the issue with the noise. They offered me to go for a ride with me. They heard the noise and just said to me that since they couldn’t reproduce the noise in the workshop, where the car was repaired, they couldn’t do anything! After a frustrating day with them, and $1200 less on my account, since that was the bill that I had to pay to Atlantic Tire, I ended with a repair that was not necessary and with the same issue that they couldn’t solve. I forgot to say that later that day I took my car to the authorized dealership, explain the situation, and they told me that the parts that were replaced, there was no need to be replaced. It wasn’t a good experience and a disappointing one. It’s a long review, but I needed to tell my experience.

Arrived during lunch tome on a Friday to see if any way possible I could get a vehicle inspection anytime that same day - expecting a pleasant..No. To the contrary, the service rep was very welcoming and we scheduled a 3:30 appt for that day. I arrived at the designated appt time - a different person at counted but also very welcoming. I was out of there quickly with vehicle inspected, and no goofy up charge attempts for a fuel filter, etc. very straight forelwatd and nice, professional org.
