★★★★★ I thought I left a review for Automotive Works but I guess I didn’t get around to it. Well, that’s about to change. I bring my Jeep in here often enough that I’ve grown pretty fond of this place. I mean, the parrot that dances to Lil John & the Eastside Boys is pretty cool and the people who work here are pretty hilarious and the general vibe of the shop is pretty chill and no nonsense but what I really appreciate is the fact that I’ve never left here and found anything I could complain about. And, when it comes to vehicle work, I am a complaining machine. But I’ve brought the Jeep in about 6 or 7 times for various small repairs and slightly less-than-small repairs and i can’t really find a thing to cry about when I get home. The work is always done well, and the price is always more than reasonable, and they never hesitate to show me what they fixed and why if I ask. And also, they have never told me to replace or fix something that didn’t need to be replaced or fixed. All of my time spent NOT complaining and crying is usually spent tied in paranoid knots over the thought of the imminent destruction of everything I love in life and that can lead to a surprising amount of needless purchases. But kudos to the guys (and girl) at Auto Works, they have never taken advantage of that. They are hands down the best place I’ve ever had automotive work done for keeping price within budget and actually taking the time to explain why I don’t need the new overpriced truck gear I’m into at that moment. I recently had a rattle in (what I thought) was my suspension and I decided to try out a few of the other places in town before I brought it in to them. I went to the place that rhymes with “Waco” but starts with an “M” and they told me it was my tie rods. I went to the place that rhymes with Bep Poys and they wanted $20 just to look at it. And then my water pump broke and when I dropped it off at Automotive Works I mentioned the rattle and they said they’d check it out. Turned out it was my grille that had come loose and they fixed it as well as the water pump for a nice, fair price. It is hard to find ANY company you can put some trust into in the online commerce driven world of today but I have a lot of respect for the people who work here and you could even say I’m taking baby steps towards trust! Thanks to all of you at Auto Works for keeping me on the road and being consistently trustworthy, I appreciate it. 👍👌
