I wouldn’t recommend this place please please stay away from this dealer and save yourself they are scammers they don’t care to help . I bought my car here and less then 1 year it’s had soo many issues and they don’t care to fix it’s already had a recall already had paint bubbling issues already had brake issues and it’s had a cable usb port that they don’t care to fix that hasn’t been working since I got the car I had issues with it I’ve taken it back and forth over 4 times for this issue they just try and reset the system they try blaming my phone then the cable then the last time I went for it got approved to fix by WARRANTY then the Alex(Alexander) told me to wait a week for the part to get here 2 weeks pass and I haven’t got any updates so I call Honda and they try reaching him and he doesn’t get back to me I called 3 days in a row after those 2 weeks of waiting and he still didn’t get back me me they told me if the last time I call he doesn’t reach out to me they are going to escalate it to the manger which they did have to do escalate it to the manger that same day he finally reaches out saying he can make me a schedule appointment to fix the issue I go in for my appointment drop off my car a day before since I wasn’t going to be able to to take it and that day he texts me saying “usb port its not defected at this time. We performed a factory reset on the phones you got listed on your infotainment center” I go to pick it up and asked why did they do that if they have already tried doing that and I always come back to the same issue he look at the report and say ALEX NEVER ORDERED THE PART which is crazy because he made me wait that long after just for him to have this planned I’m not fixing it I don’t understand why he’s acting like he’s the one paying out of pocket for it. I told them I’m not picking up my car until it’s fixed the manger the next day got in contact with me and told me it looks like there might be something else wrong with your car and does something else to try and fix the issue which was way completely different from what Alex kept doing just because he’s lazy or doesn’t want to do his job right. If you bring you car here make sure you don’t get him he tells you one thing them another make sure you make him write everything he’s saying because he doesn’t even know his own stories he keep switching up giving you a different answer every time. The actual manger hasn’t reached out even tho I’ve tried reaching out and left my phone& email. (They haven’t followed up or reached out to me)don’t ever recommend wasting you time here or buying a car

I had an amazing experience with Isaac Espiritu. I used to work with Michael and he was amazing, but got promoted to a new area of the company. Michael recommended me to Isaac and I couldn't have been more happy. For my car, I always look for someone that will service my car as if it was their own, without breaking the bank. And thank you to my technician Jose Saul for working on my car. Isaac Espiritu and Jose Saul will be my service advisor and technician from now on.

This is by far the worst dealership service experience I have ever had. I brought my Acura MDX in on October 10 for an alignment service and after picking it up the car was actually worse than before. The steering wheel was off, the alignment was not corrected, and the vehicle now drives unevenly. I immediately asked to speak with Fabian, the service manager, and after several attempts and unnecessary delays he finally called me back. I explained that the service department acted in a negligent and unprofessional manner. I spent both time and money, including the cost of multiple Uber rides and hours of missed work, only to receive a vehicle in worse condition. I requested a refund for the service because it was not performed properly and Fabian refused and stated that he would not issue any refund. I told him that I believed the work was performed by inexperienced or improperly supervised technicians because no qualified professional would have released the car in that condition. Instead of addressing the problem he accused me of being unprofessional and disrespectful simply for expressing my dissatisfaction. When I told him that I did not want unqualified or unprofessional individuals working on my car he abruptly ended the call without resolution. This conduct is completely unacceptable for someone in a management position and raises serious questions about the dealership’s business practices. I called back and began recording the conversation, and the automated message clearly stated that calls are recorded. The moment he realized the call was being recorded he disconnected again which is highly suspicious and indicates an attempt to avoid accountability. At this point it is clear that AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa is engaging in deceptive and fraudulent practices by accepting payment for services that are not properly performed or documented. This does constitute a violation of California’s Business and Professions Code sections 17200 and 17500 as well as regulations enforced by the Bureau of Automotive Repair regarding false representation and inadequate workmanship. I will be filing formal complaints with Honda Corporate, the Bureau of Automotive Repair, and the Department of Consumer Affairs to request an investigation into Fabian’s conduct and the dealership’s service practices. The service performed on my vehicle did not meet the implied warranty of good and workmanlike service and I will be seeking a full refund. Fabian’s conduct was unprofessional, condescending, and retaliatory. He should not remain employed in any position of management or customer contact. His behavior reflects poorly on the Honda brand and undermines consumer trust. I strongly advise all consumers to avoid bringing their vehicles to AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa for service. Their practices are negligent, their management is unprofessional, and their handling of customer concerns demonstrates a complete disregard for basic business ethics and California consumer law.

On the last occasion I took my car to Honda it was for a software update . Honda contacted me to set an appointment and gave me an appointment the next day. The staff were helpful, courteous and great to work with. The work was completed in the time allocated and the paperwork was complete and comprehensive . I was very disappointed in the service this time. I waited almost 3 hours for an oil change with an appt. I would’ve waited longer if I didn’t see my car was done and just sitting there and not informed . I called it their attention. I’ve also had issues with my outside temp gauge and have addressed it 3 times and shown pictures. The answer I got was well all the cars here are showing that temp . When you pay 55.000 for a car you expect even the tiniest thing to work! Not an acceptable answer in my book!

My experience with AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa has been one of the worst vehicle purchase experiences I have ever had. In July I purchased a Mercedes from this dealership along with what was represented to me as a warranty. Within a short period of time the vehicle began showing multiple malfunction codes and warning lights. By October the engine light came on and the car indicated that it was sitting too low, so I brought the vehicle back to the dealership for service. The first response I received from the service department was that they could not service the vehicle because it was a Mercedes. This was shocking considering they were perfectly willing to sell the vehicle but suddenly could not work on it once problems appeared. After refusing to take the vehicle back under those circumstances, they later stated they could run a diagnostic. I was then told they could not properly inspect the vehicle because it was too covered in oil. This raises serious concerns about whether the vehicle was properly inspected before it was sold. Mercedes vehicles store diagnostic data and track how long malfunctions have been present. Any competent inspection should have been able to identify existing issues prior to the sale. Instead, I ended up with a vehicle that appears to have had pre-existing mechanical problems and a warranty that provides little to no coverage for the issues that arose. Between the questionable inspection, the misleading warranty, and the dealership’s refusal or inability to properly address the problems after the sale, the entire situation reflects extremely poor business practices. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting a full independent inspection and carefully verifying any warranty coverage before signing anything.

I took my car in for regular maintenance service yesterday. My advisor, Delano, was very efficient, solved the problem of not having access to their system (system went down right as I drove up for my appointment) by getting my car started once he confirmed what kind of service I was there for and he kept me informed throughout the process. Even though the original time was delayed because they had a backup due to their system going down, he acknowledged the delay, explained it and assured me they would get my car finished as soon as possible. It was a pleasant, low-stress experience thanks to his professionalism and great communication skills.

We had a nightmare turned into a fairy tale thanks to Isaac Espiritu our service advisor! We broke down on a trip from Bakersfield to Costa Mesa. We had our van towed to AutoNation as it was the closest to our hotel. We were able to have it delivered by the tow company afterhours and I scheduled an appointment online for the next morning. I met Isaac that morning and he was SO helpful! I can not express how much I appreciate his checking on our parts and staying on top of our repairs. His communication and his positive attitude helped calm us down throughout the process. He made sure our family was safe for our drive home! When we went to pick up our van we met with David Gozzo to see what options we had on trading the van in. David showed us several different options on vehicles and lease vs purchase and what we could get back for our van. We swapped our Honda Odyssey for a new Honda Odyssey with his help. Very easy process with David and we met with Gregory Hammann in finance and things got a little difficult for them but not for us because Gregory took it upon himself to make phone calls fight for us. After a few short hours we drove back home to Bakersfield in our brand new van. From top to bottom, from service to sales this dealership at AutoNation in Costa Mesa was a perfect 10 on a 1-5 scale! I've been going to this service center for the past year, but the quality has been terrible for the past six months. About three months ago, I went, and they returned my side mirror broken, as seen in the picture (I'd only installed it 10 days prior). And at the beginning of this month, I saw deep scratches on my left side mirror during my last visit. Because of this, I've decided not to go back to this service center. They took 360-degree photos of the car before I dropped it off, and by looking at those photos, the dealership can see that I'm right.
