Untrustworthy, charge more than what they said. I would understand if they would have did more work than they have. Seems if you are a good mechanic, you would know how to do the job and not give a false quote, then charge more, very unprofessional.!!!!!!

This is an absolute fantastic. I have had nothing but good experiences with everyone at Barnes. They let you know what is wrong before they work on the vehicle, they never try to lie or screw a customer on price, parts, or labor. Heck they even let you bring your own parts for some repairs. I seriously can not recommend them enough. Bottom line: If you need a mechanic for just about anything, bring it here! You will not regret it. Note: I do not personally or professionally know anyone at Barnes Auto Barn outside of their role as my go-to mechanic. Nor did I benefit in anyway by leaving this review.

Worked with Dean. Took a part to be installed, great, had them check brakes, told me remaining life and no need to replace yet, very honest, and had them look into a sound, turned out to be rear wheel bearing assembly, replaced and installed. All done in a day and reasonable prices. Think I found a new trustworthy mechanic!

EDITED REVIEW: Barnes has been helpful in the past, and maybe the issues we’re dealing with are different than usual, but now I’m positive I won’t be going back. My wife’s car has been dealing with the check engine light coming on, and we’ve taken it to Barnes on 3 separate occasions. They fixed the ignition solenoids and a couple other small parts, and the check engine light would turn back on as we were leaving the shop. Since then, we took the car to A-Plus Auto and they found the actual reason (replace camshaft and a phasers and a few other things with the timing chain). The reason I’m editing is that A-Plus found the solenoids Barnes replaced only a couple months ago are already burned out. Called Barnes back to see if they would give us a refund since the parts barely lasted 2 months. They offered to replace the part, but no money back. It’s already been fixed, so there’s no need to replace it. I get it, but to not guarantee the part is annoying. And also having to make multiple trips for them to not figure out the real issue is also frustrating. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Barnes Auto Barn was amazing! They took care of my car and comp’d the diagnosis because they couldn’t find what was wrong with the electrical issue. Very generous and communicative.

They also take a very common sense approach and don't try to oversell repairs that you don't need. We we also able to source our own parts which is a plus. They are super nice guys and we will continue to use them.

The absolute best! They are honest and trustworthy. I was told I needed to replace something by another garage. The part $400 + $400 labor = $800. Barnes let me bring the part I bought at a discount to lower my cost. When I picked it up they told be my part was good, basically not plugged in. They bought and installed the $13 part. They saved me hundreds of dollars. God Bless them.

They were able to figure out electrical problem that no one else could. I feel like they're honest and aren't trying to take advantage of me because I'm an older woman by myself going into the garage. They explained what was going on and even showed me the part that was not working. They were competitively priced for the work that was done. I would recommend this shop and have a ready to my family and friends.
