I own a small fleet of vehicles so finding a place I trust not to rip me off is a tall order usually. I can say with confidence that these guys will take care of you. Not only are they fairly priced, they are also honest and thorough. They use quality parts as well. I could not be happier with the service and quality they give me. Edit: 4/2022 Another outstanding experience with Brian and the guys at Bending Wrenches. They rebuilt my corvette like thr total pros they are. This car is mind blowing. I was expecting good but nothing like this. I'm truly excited about trusting these guys to do right by me. I was not disappointed.

The singular star given goes to Brian, the only semi-honest individual I dealt with when taking my vehicle to this shop. I was originally looking for a shop near me in Arvada after purchasing a used vehicle. I knew there were some key repairs needed and I wanted to restore the vehicle to a safe and reliable state. I reached out to Bending Wrenches and was connected with Brian up front, they agreed to take a look at my vehicle and accompany me on my restoration journey. I was given a large list of repairs upfront and the maintenance needed was costly. So, I broke it into chunks and began allowing them to service my vehicle. The main purpose of purchasing this vehicle was to take it to the mountains to go skiing. So, I asked him up front if post repairs that this vehicle would be reliable to take up i-70 to do just that. He told me yes. After thousands of dollars in repairs, it was winter, and it was finally time to go skiing. I took the vehicle and a few friends with me to Breckenridge. No issues on the way there, but on the way back I noticed that the temperature gauge started rising. I stopped when I saw smoke coming from under the hood and noticed the coolant reservoir had lost pressure and coolant was everywhere. The reserve was almost empty. A tow truck driver stopped behind me and was able to help me assess what I was looking at. Since it was still holding a little bit of coolant but had lost pressure, he told me it was unsafe to drive. So, I had the vehicle towed home. This was extra painful, as the first trip I used it for its intended purpose it failed on me. This was after I had multiple components within the cooling system replaced. I brought the vehicle in and explained the situation, I was told I needed a new radiator, thermostat, and water pump. I agreed to the services in hopes that this would resolve the issue. Fast forward a few weeks, after these parts were repaired. I was too afraid to bring the vehicle on i-70 again in fear it would overheat. I was using it for local trips and not driving it far because of this. I came out to the parking lot of a grocery store and noticed a massive puddle underneath the vehicle. I was super close to home so I was able to drive the vehicle home while keeping an eye on the temperature gauge, it did not go up so I parked it and let it sit. I called the shop the next morning and explained the situation. I dropped the car off at the shop and was told I needed to replace more cooling components, again... I had just had these services done. I had a new water pump installed and was told this would correct the issue. I reluctantly agreed to the service, yet again, as I felt I had no one else to turn to. The vehicle had been running fine after that and going into summer the last thing I needed fixed was the A/C. I brought the vehicle in and received an A/C recharge service for around $140. After driving the vehicle for a few days I noticed it was blowing hot air. So, I reached out to the shop to get more information on this. They told me to bring it in and they would take another look. At this point I was working with Beau, not Brian. He told me that he would need to replace the fan shroud to start and I was looking at a $750 dollar repair for that. However, there was a chance that that service would not fix the issue... If it didn't I was looking at "around $5,000 because there was metal in the lines." This was the last straw for me as I had already dumped thousands into the vehicle. On top of that, it seemed like we were just throwing guesses at things at this point. I declined the service and finally decided on a new shop. After choosing the new shop, with reputable upfront people, I realized I had been getting taken advantage of. They told me the A/C comment didn't even make sense. The new shop didn't give me the run around. What they couldn't fix, they were honest about. What they could fix, they gave me reasonable quotes on and actually fixed the problems. If you need a trustworthy shop in the Arvada area, head over to Crash at Olde Town Car Care.

Bending Wrenches is a great mechanic shop. I would totally recommend these guys to friends and family and I plan on going here for future work/repairs. They did a transmission swap on my older truck. They even cut me a deal when the project was taking longer than expected. They found a new transmission for me. It's been a month or so now and truck is running smoothly, better than it ever has. Big thanks to Beau for getting me through it all at a fair price. 5 stars, would recommend.
