My brother owns a 2022 BMW X5 and brings it to this service regularly. Every single visit, a new problem suddenly comes up. I honestly can’t tell if this is intentional or just extremely poor workmanship. Each time, the bill is $1,000–$2,000. What’s worse is that even after they “fix” something, new or repeat issues appear shortly after. This experience has completely turned me off from BMW.

Lately this dealership has been very corporate like. Advisors always act busy and only want to send you texts. Very restrictive on loaners. I get better service on my 2012 Acura than 2025 BMW - can talk to a real person quite easily. I had a check engine light on my new vehicle and no one could give me a timeframe for even diagnosing it

I am super disappointed with the quality of work I got from the service department for a basic oil change on my 2018 X5 35d. I took the car after the oil change and as I am getting home, the low oil pressure warning light goes off. The car is out of warranty and money is tight so I park the car until I can get to it. I Google the symptoms and narrow it down to the oil filter or oil pressure sensor. I take the oil filter lid off and BOOM there is the issue. The technician installed the filter incorrectly causing the issue. I replaced the filter....PROPERLY....and no more oil pressure issue. To pay over $500 for the oil change package and get this is absolutely ridiculous. The sad part is that I really like my service advisor! Unfortunately, he is not the one that does the repairs. This negligence is unacceptable and really should never happen.

My BMW service advisor, Jeff, made sure to thoroughly explain and guide me through the service process. He made sure to recommend only the needed services and save me money on ones that were not necessary, indicating he is very honest. I was provided with a Lyft from and back to the dealership when my car was ready, free of charge. Lastly, they washed my car which was a nice touch. However, I want to note that if you plan to get your transmission serviced for a fluid change, do it at a separate certified BMW/Euro mechanic because it will be cheaper and they will actually replace your transmission pan with the new filter unlike Bill Jacobs BMW where they are supposed to but did not. It's a bit disappointing to be honest especially with how expensive the service was.

I called the Bill Jacobs BMW Naperville service department to request tow service for my car, which had a completely flat tire caused by a screw puncture. The advisor I spoke to, named John, was rude and dismissive throughout the call. I explained that my car has 20" wheels and the tire was at 0 psi, so even though it has run-flat tires, I was worried about damaging the rims if I drove on it. Instead of offering helpful guidance, he sounded annoyed and spoke to me in a condescending tone, even saying “Are you not understanding?” and “Oh my God.” That kind of attitude is completely unacceptable, especially when customers are calling for help. I expected patience and professionalism from a BMW service advisor, not disrespect. This experience left a negative impression and does not reflect the level of service a BMW owner should receive.
