Brought a block for them to bore, sleeve and gap the piston rings for me. They didn't bore nor sleeve the block as they stated they inspected and could not find the issue with the block (a chip both visually and physically noticeable in the cylinder wall). Charged roughly $400 and now have to bring the block elsewhere to have it done right.

I’d give 10 stars if they let me. Extremely knowledgeable and fair pricing. As a small business owner who relies on his truck for work, if I miss a day, I miss a lot. Two or three times over the past couple of years Burkhart has bailed me out. They’re always prepared and they always take care of stuff as fast as possible. Usually next day if they can. You won’t find that kind of service at any dealerships. Not even close. I wish somebody told me about them sooner. I’ll be a customer for life.

Had them resurface a head for me go to get it when it was done they took 63 thousands off of it without even asking me first. My service manual said to replace the head if you had to go over a 10 thousandth any one I asked about it says they never had heard of anything that close taking off. They told me to get a thicker gasket which they don’t even make for my car pretty much told me don’t know what to tell ya never again east of 270$ for a useless part.

NEW! Latest update after 4 years of problems and a shop that actually has knowledge and experience a drilled out oil galley plug was found lodged in the oiling hole for one of the cam bearings Burkhart will cost you money don’t buy or have work done there buyers beware. New photos added. Motor needs line bore and hone new main caps all caps are loose rods need reconditioning crank needs a reground polish and straightening basically a whole new bottom They will tell you they fix things and not do anything at all I spent close to 10k and brought the rebuild motor back to him 5 times and was charged more money his mechanic of 30 years doesn’t know what he his doing and they do everything cheap and shady.
