UPDATE 3/1/2025: Once again, we had an excellent sales experience. Chekeria was our sales person who took great care of us walking us smoothly through our purchase. Chekerias, after sales follow-up, is an added bonus to our sales experience. I researched the Kia Seltos, which was a step up from my Soul. The styling, additional space, and too many to list features were appreciated at the below $30,000 price tag. As you see in the picture, the mileage was from its first trip to the mountains and back. Driven reasonably, I feel not getting a hybrid was well worth the savings. At 6'2" I was comfortable with a ball cap in a raised seat position. The passenger seat, although not electric, is positioned higher than most comparable models. The storage is huge. Thanks once again, Burlington Kia. The Soul is still running great and was passed on to the second generation. UPDATE 8/20/2021: The first service was great for both cars! UPDATE 4/5/2021: Within three weeks of buying my car the dealership mailed me a notice that my tags had arrived. I went to the dealership and a salesman saw me pull up with my 30 day tags, he immediately asked if I was there to pick up tags, he took me inside, gave me my paperwork, and put the new tag on without hesitation, now thats service! My wife's registration came in the mail within one week of buying the car, the dealership continues to shine. I have 38.3 mpg on SOUL for a 102 mile trip that included city driving. UPDATE! LOVED our experience so much, the salesman Juan Lopez, the product, and price we went back and decided to make it a Kia home. Still being surprised by our Kia. THE ONLINE EXPERIENCE: I dealt with Ashley online. Ashley responded quickly to my questions and was the first person to take the extra effort to consider my online offer and to get a sales manager to make a counter offer. The encounter was encouraging as a consumer to know the dealership was willing to make a deal. Ashley was also willing to arrange my visit around my prior commitments. THE SALESMAN: I was met by Juan Lopez upon my arrival. Although the original car of interest did not have the features I wanted Juan found the car that did. Juan was polite, patient, and accommodating to my concerns and needs. Juan listened to my needs and worked towards making a deal that I could be happy with. There was not a lot of going back and forth to secure my offer. At the conclusion of the sale Juan took the time to go over the features and to program my phone with the car. Juan followed up with me a few days later to make sure everything was OK and to make sure any concerns I had were addressed. THE FINANCIAL OFFICER: This was the quickest finance signing I have ever done. The paperwork was in order and consistent with the agreed upon terms. THE DEALERSHIP: I had some questions and a sales manager contact me in a timely fashion. The manager was attentive to my question and left me feeling that the dealership works as a team to ensure a positive customer experience. THE CAR: I had researched the Kia car extensively before I bought it and was aware of the possible pros and cons. After driving the car I feel the car exceeded my expectations in quality, driving, and features. I drove my first trip through Raleigh to the beach and got an average mpg of 37.3, not using cruise control. I discovered more features on the car that exceeded other more costly vehicles we own, note I bought a Kia in mid range of the model . The Kia warranty is one of the best in the industry. OVERALL: I would return to the dealership for future purchases and look forward to the service department experience.★★★★★ Edited a year ago

I have been having issues with the radio in my Kia K5. I spoke with the Kia staff (Eric and Emily) about the issue and was told someone would get back to me. I never heard back so I called several times and was told again…someone would get back to me. I got fed up and called Fred Anderson Kia in Raleigh and they took care of me immediately. I used to love taking my car to this dealership but won’t be going there anymore. I understand things happen, but I have been going back and forth with this dealership for a while. Had I called Fred Anderson to begin with my radio issue probably would have been resolved in the time wasted on my local dealership. I had the best experience at Burlington Kia when I purchased my Sorento recently! Starting with LG, who is the best salesman I have ever worked with! He listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle & helped me to find the perfect one, without trying to steer me towards any others that might not have been right for me. He was not the least bit "pushy", & was so kind, respectful, & professional. He truly made this a great experience! Joe, who worked with me during the financial process, was also very kind & helpful. He made what could have been a stressful part of the process much easier, & I felt he had my best interest at heart. All of the employees I interacted with were friendly & helpful. I have to preface this by saying this is my 1st time ever writing a google review, that is how upset I am. Today my husband brought my car in for a routine oil change, and also had concerns of a warranty issue on the car. Upon receiving the keys back and being sent on his way he discovered that the car had been scuffed/scratched, it 100% was not there prior to his visit to Kia today. After he went back inside and got the associate “Eric” he came out, looked at the car and said he was going to get his phone to take photos, he came back with the service manager who from the jump had her arms crossed and was incredibly defensive. She was combative and told my husband that Kia did not cause the damage, my husband insisted they did and asked they review the footage. The security cameras unfortunately were blocked by a light and she told my husband regardless of that she still was accusing him of lying. After he pointed out to her how rude and unprofessional she was she told my husband to leave the property. She even told my husband that he should have thanked her for doing her job and taking care of a warranty claim we have, as if he owes her something! I have since tried contacting Burlington KIA with no response back. We are now left with a scratched car, estimated 200$ + in parts and labor to fix and don’t know what to do. I absolutely would NOT ever ever recommend anyone do service here, they are extremely shady and disrespectful!★☆☆☆☆ 7 months ago

If you’re looking to buy a car, go anywhere but here!! My father in law and I drove 3 hours to see and buy a Mazda CX-50 from them (I was looking for a specific one and they had it). When we got there, we test drove it and I loved it. Thankfully, we walked around and saw super chipped paint on the passenger side, near the headlight. When we asked the salesman about it, he got the manager. The manager just said cars will have wear and tear (this wasn’t normal). My father in law asked about why the tire pressure was low (again, we drove 3 hours and told them so you’d think everything would be in good shape) and the manager continuously stumbled over his words and couldn’t give us a clear answer except for the fact that it’s been hot and cold recently. My father in law has the same exact car and has no issues with his tire pressure. I told them I’m going to lunch and I’d be back if they could figure out how to either fix the damage or knock money off the price. They called 3 hours later asking if I was still interested after I found the same car in way better condition at the Capital Cary Mazda where we were treated way better.★☆☆☆☆ 3 months ago

I had a shortened interaction with Kia of Burlington because they sent the car I made an appointment for to auction. I was interested in a specific Kia model/trim they had and made an appointment yesterday to come in to test drive it today at 10am. This morning, I got a phone call from them confirming the appointment. When I arrived to the dealership, the car was not available. They said it must have gone to auction to be sold. This experience was obviously disappointing to drive over an hour to their dealership and not be able to see the car that I made the appointment for. Especially confusing that it was on the website still and that I received a phone confirmation for the appointment and that the car was available just 90 mins prior. This review reflects the failure of their process and systems that wasted my time rather than a condemnation of their people. The salesperson was professional and apologetic. He offered to help me find a different car and did what he could but unfortunately I only came for that one specific car.★★☆☆☆ a month ago

After a nightmare experience with a different local dealer that sold me a car with a bad engine, I was at my breaking point. My husband was on unpaid leave because we had no reliable transportation as this is our only vehicle and we use it to get to work and carpool our two children. I was stuck in a loop of diagnostic fees and rejected warranty claims. I called Burlington Kia out of desperation, and it was the best decision I could have made. First, Jasmine took the time to actually listen and empathize with my situation. She shared her own story and encouraged me to come in. Once there, the sales team worked tirelessly to see if they could get me into a new vehicle. Even though the legal situation with my previous car prevented a trade-in, their patience was incredible. The real magic happened in the service department with Emily. She did the digging that no one else would do and discovered my car was covered under an extended factory warranty. Not only did she get the parts ordered immediately, but the communication was top-tier. When a part of the axle was stuck, the mechanics took the extra time to soak it in a solution to remove it safely rather than just breaking it and charging me the $900 replacement fee. Emily was incredibly communicative and kept me informed every step of the way. When she called to tell me the vehicle was ready and I didn't owe anything I truly couldn't believe it. That one outcome made my whole family able to get back to our normal lives again. Having worked in hospitality for 15 years, I know what excellent service looks like. Burlington Kia isn't just selling cars; they are taking care of people. I drove away with a fixed car, a $0 bill, and a huge weight off my shoulders. I am not the kind of person to leave "good" reviews but this one really deserves. I bought my car from Battleground KIA but even after calling and requesting schedule for service online multiple times, they never responded back so I just tried calling this place and they responded quickly and fixed an appointment the next day. Most importantly when I went there today, everything went so smooth as knife on butter from the pickup till delivery. They only took 30 mins for the state inspection, multi-point inspection, tire rotation and filling washer fluid even though they have multiple customers which is really impressive. This dealership will damage your car and then refuse to fix it. I went in to have a diagnostic done. I was told that my transmission was going bad based off sound. No codes, no inspection just going bad and quickly quoted me for a new transmission. I thought it was strange that my van was parked outside the bay knowing that my daughter came in with me on crutches. Y'all did this so I wouldnt notice the damage to the inside panel of my van. I promptly returned the next morning when I did notice the large crack in my panel. The sales manager told me there was no way they damaged that part because they didnt take it off but then told me the tech that got in my van was 7ft and he couldnt have kicked the panel and cracked it. Im 5'1 so if the tech tried to get in without moving the seat back he absolutely could have and did kick my panel. My transmission was never bad and of course they are refusing to fix the damage. TAKE YOUR CAR AND MONEY ELSE WHERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU HERE. Y'all refuse to fix this damage and lie about what's going on.
