Traveling home from Atlanta back to south GA on a Sunday when my truck experienced extreme engine misfire. I got a room in Macon knowing I couldn't get home. A friend referred me to Calhoun Automotive, he knew the shop forman, Kevin. Kevin called me on a Sunday and told be to bring it Monday morning, that there would be a bay and a technician ready to look at it. Kristie at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Within 2 hours Kevin informed me of the problem (a nicked wire on an injector), reviewed the diagnostic report and the recommended service I needed. Due to the expenses of the hotel and tow, financially the recommended repairs were a strain at that moment. I was told I was safe to get home and I was charged basically only for the diagnostics. Calhoun Auto treated me fairly and quickly allowed me to get on my way home. It's always a concern when you are away from home and need service like this; will I be treated fairly? The answer is a resounding yes. I will absolutely recommend them, they are honest and professional.

This morning while dropping off my daughter for work a very nice gentleman named Jeff from Calhoun’s Ray Flanders, Transmission Specialist noticed I had a very flat tire. He not only stopped me to let me know and saved me from ruining my tire rim but he also took the flat off, put my spare tire on and filled my spare tire with more air! Jeff and the other workers at Calhoun’s were so incredible nice and accommodating to me. I am not one of their customers and they are clearly very busy but Jeff took time out of his work day to help a stranger. I am very grateful and would definitely recommend stopping by here for any of your vehicular needs!

As a former technician, it's hard to find a shop that you can trust to have service performed on your vehicle, beyond your capabilities.Through a thorough search to have my vehicle's transmission rebuilt, I found Calhoun's Automotive repair. My entire experience was handled with care and they actually listened to the issue that I was having. With requesting to have my transmission rebuilt, I allowed the shop to take the time they needed to properly have the work done and tested, before returning the vehicle to me. After receiving my vehicle and taking it on short drives and then a drive up through the mountains, the transmission felt brand new. I had to return to the shop to thank the owner personally for the work that had been performed and will recommend this shop to anyone needing their vehicle serviced. Thank you again.

Took my car in because it had a rattle noise on startup. They diagnosed it as my alternator bracket being put on backwards and I needed my power steering belt and my a/c belt replaced. When I got the car back the put the alternator bracket on right but did not tighten up the power steering belt. It was so loose you could basically just pull the belt off. The car was very difficult to turn because the power steering pump wasn’t able to pump the fluid. Had to spend the rest of my Friday night fixing it myself. This is absurd for a basic belt replacement and over 400 dollars to get fixed which ended up not being done right.

Brandy was an amazing person to deal with over the phone, she talked to me and walked me through everything that needed to happen in order for my car to be fixed. Calming demeanor, understanding that stressful situations are neither my nor their fault but due to not having my car. She kept me updated on what was going on with my car and would let me know when the car would be done as long as everything fell into place accordingly. I also talked a couple of time to the mechanic that worked on my car and he insured me that he was working on my car and also walked me through his process, what was wrong with my car, and when and how he would fix it. Highly recommend. Called multiple shops around town about a lead frame for a f150, and lot of them tried to talk me into a whole new transmission. Talked to ray on Friday and he said he could definitely get it done. Dropped it off Sunday and had it back on Tuesday. Quality work and prices are hard to find these days.
