Took an older car to this shop for repair of a wheel bearings and other damaged parts around the wheel bearing. It was bad. Other shops said it was "normal," or bad brakes. Jeez. They got the car in immediately, fixed it in 1 day, were transparent on costs and the problems. Competent, easy to work with, respectful, no fancy showroom or marketing nonsense. So glad to have found them. All future repair work will go to this talented group!

This shop graciously helped me when my truck's water pump blew out while traveling through Salt Lake. They made the repairs quickly and had me back on the road much sooner than I expected. It can be hard to find a mechanic or a shop that will be HONEST with, but I believe this shop is that way. They had every opportunity to overcharge me and take advantage but they didn't. I wish there were such a shop near my home!

Third generation customer. Parents recommended them and they've been wonderful. None of the other mechanics/repair shops I've used can compare. Willing to say that you have another 6 months on your breaks when you're pads aren't that low, etc. Greatly appreciate their honesty and workmanship.

Let me start off by saying these guys are Fantastic with there skills and knowledge I'm absolutely new to west jordan area and i took a chance on bringing my 2001 Acura CL Type-s into there shop so i may have a shifting problem with my transmission, And my rear wheel HUB seized up. Took my car in on 2 separate appointment (my choice) and i gotta tell you guys i was thinking "I'm in for a new transmission i know that's what he's gonna tell me" turns out it was a loose wire, And man was i relieved not only in his ability to fix the issue but to be 1,000% honest about the situation as a whole. Thank you guys at the shop for bringing my Acura back to life. I would indeed recommend this auto shop to anyone looking for an honest mechanic.

Richard is honest and a great mechanic and friend. Nobody's perfect but if he doesn't get it right the first time he will make it right. His prices are reasonable. Only complaint is being a small shop usually means there's a waiting list. His integrity is worth the wait.

I am a first- and last-time customer of Dennis Butterfield’s Auto Repair. I brought my car in on Monday to repair a check engine light. They later called to explain the problem and said it would cost $675 plus tax to fix it. Feeling that this was WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for this particular problem, I arrived a few minutes before closing time to take my car to another shop for a second opinion. Dennis Butterfield’s Auto Repair would not give me my car until I gave them $80 - said they were just going to keep my car if I didn’t pay that. I contested as they disclosed no $80 diagnostic fee in advance and they intimidated me out. I ultimately had to pay them $60 (they waived $20 in tax they said) to get my keys and car back. I immediately took the car to GT Automotive, who diagnosed and fixed the same problem for $369 plus tax. Run — don’t walk — to GT Automotive. I will not be going back to this shop.

Best mechanic shop around! I’ve had work done on several vehicles on multiple occasions and each time I was treated with respect and fairness. Richard is honest and only recommends work that really needs to be done. He also backs his work and takes care of his clients! Jordan runs the office and is easy to work with in scheduling appointments and getting quotes. Highly recommend these guys!!

This shop is absolutely second to none. Above of the great qualities of Brent, he’s ethical & very honest! My sons car needed some long overdue repairs & I’ve usually worked on his car myself because mechanics can’t be trusted. That belief is officially gone. His work was absolute quality, extremely affordable & impeccably honest. Not only would I recommend him to anyone that needs a mechanic, I’ve told my daughter that lives almost an hour away that if she ever needs ANY car care or has any car issues at all to come here. Very VERY highly recommended!

The mechanic Richard was so incredibly helpful and considerate. He was very busy but squeezed us in for an appointment within a few days. He called before doing any work and quoted us a price. After getting an ok from us, he fixed our car and had it ready so quickly and for less than we'd been quoted! If we have any more problems, I know where I'm taking my car. I would recommend him to anyone!

Richard was incredibly helpful and very accommodating. I had very limited time and an unusual request but he made sure to fit me in before any other mechanic in the area and did a great job. He was very kind. Overall great experience. It was a little hard to find their shop (you must drive through a gate to the most north corner of the building) but worth it.

Incredible! They saved me at least $500. They were the only mechanic that picked up when I called, and also told me to bring the car straight in. Car wasn’t starting. Autozone told me my battery was fine, and I needed a new alternator. Took it to DB auto repair and they said the alternator and starter were fine, I just needed a new battery and recommended I go to Costco bc they are cheapest in the valley. Saved me a bunch of money and were very quick to get me sorted. Thank you guys, I’ll be back if I need anything else!

Has a sign that states along the lines of "damage sustained on property isn't our fault." Calls me the next day about a nail in our tire that was "100%" our fault and couldn't possibly have been their fault. Liars. Just go see a professional instead. I'm reply to comment: I visited ~Sep 2024 in a civic. I mostly spoke with the mechanic. Sorry for the late review. I was reminded to leave such a review upon happily returning to the mechanic this organization drove me to visit by their care. Best of luck.

This shop truly deserves its 5 star rating. Always does great work at a reasonable price, upfront and honest. Richard was out of town hunting last fall so I made the mistake of taking my Jeep somewhere else because I didn't want to wait. Well turns out I ended up waiting much longer (over a month and a half!) and the work was done poorly to boot. Serves me right.
