The team here did a great job repairing my vehicle. I’ve asked for a quote for the repair 3 weeks ago and lost the paper i wrote it in and so I’ve asked again how much 4 days prior to scheduling the repair. They said they forgot how much and will call me back. I worried it might go up but it didn’t, it’s the same price from 3 weeks ago. I’ve also called the Vehicle’s dealership to compare prices(they want an arm) and all I can say is this shop price for the labor is fair. The integrity has one me over because I’ve called other shops(within 2 mile radius of this shop) and their answer was “I’ll call you” which I never got the call. That shop is in Beacon Hill and they’ve installed an inner tie rod on my car on the wrong side(passenger side installed to driver side and vice versa) which caused problems! Another shop said “I can’t quote you over the phone, you’d have to bring the car in” even I provided the make, year, and model over the phone and theyv were also claiming “we have the best warranty in the area”. This one is in Rainer Ave. close to Goodwill. Anyway DERE did a great job on the repair and I even asked to keep the old parts to compare it the new parts I bought. Fair price, honesty, and transparency will always win a customer like me. I recommend this place for your vehicle repair! Thank you!

The mechanic, William, didn’t seem to want to listen to the issues with my car. I explained that a specific warning light had come on “Service ESC” and the mechanic insisted it was ESP. I then attempted to explain the other problems I was having, but he was dismissive and clearly wasn’t interested in doing the work. It’s all good, I’ll be taking my money elsewhere!

These people are incredible. They work so hard and efficiently to get your car fixed in no time and are straight to the point, kind and not patronizing to me for not knowing much about car repairs, and will NOT overcharge you. Go here, there's no other place I could possibly recommend more. I've been going here for repairs since 2015 when I first discovered them through my sisters experience with them.

If you are looking for reliable and trustworthy mechanics Dere Auto is one of the very few in that group. I've been taking all my cars to them since 2011. I never have to worry about being forced to do unnecessary repairs on my car or being overcharged. They also do a great job. And let me know if something is not worth keep putting money into it. At least 5 of my female coworkers take their cars there for years as well.

Very friendly and quality service. Brought my vehicle in after smelling some burnt rubber. They were able to take me in that day and test drove the car as well as inspecting the vehicle in detail. Had a smooth experience with Dere Auto. William is very helpful - he kept me updated on my car's progress, was transparent about the cost breakdown and didn't try to up sell me. I was first introduced to Dere Auto with the West Seattle location (closed after the two locations consolidated staff to just one location) and I now drive half an hour each way to get my car diagnosed and repaired by Dere Auto in South Seattle. Staff are professional, kind, and informative and have taken the time to accurately diagnose issues while being transparent about which services are urgent and which can wait. Pricing is extremely fair and I often save a few hundred dollars compared to what other auto shops want to charge me for identical services.
