I was told the service would take about an hour and a half and paid for labor upfront. After waiting two hours, I was told they had not started and only had two of the three tires ordered. Tire Rack confirmed all tires were shipped, meaning one was misplaced at Discount Tire. They offered no discount or accommodation and placed the blame on Tire Rack. The service was incomplete and required an additional return visit.

I purchased tires online and had them installed on my vehicle — the installation itself went smoothly, and that’s where the positives end. While waiting, I heard the manager openly berating his employees in front of me and other customers, even saying, “I’m going to tie you up and leave you out on the road to get run over.” It was shocking and completely unprofessional. He then proceeded to mock a customer who didn’t know which tires to order, snickering about them with his employees loud enough for the waiting room to hear. What stood out most was how two-faced the manager was — extremely friendly to customers one moment, then immediately turning around to belittle his employees and make fun of the very customers he just spoke to. The whole atmosphere in the waiting area became awkward and uncomfortable because of him. I will not be returning to this location after witnessing such unacceptable behavior.

These people are absolutely god awful. They installed a tire on a cracked rim while I waited four (4) hours in their lobby watching their college age techs do nothing. Less than a week later their replacement tire blew out the sidewall, we returned to the location to get it replaced per policy, and was shocked to find that magically our wheel was cracked to the barrel. Either they knew about it before or they missed it, and after ANOTHER two and a half (2.5) hours where they took their sweet time they informed me that they were putting the spare back on and that we need a new wheel. So now not only am I out the cost of the original tire, but also the Ubers to and from work totalling over a hundred (100) dollars, their response was to try to sell me a wheel. Disgusting. Do not give them money, at best they are incompetent, at worst actively malicious.

I'm a 20+ year customer of Discount Tires at a couple of their locations in Chicago's western suburbs. During this time I've purchased tires exclusively from DT for more than 10 of the cars I've owned during this time. I keep coming back because I like the people, the quality of service, and the products. As importantly, I like being able to bring my cars in for free tire rotations and tire pressure checks. Can't imagine going anywhere else for tire services.

I have been a discount tire customer for a long time. I was visiting from out of town and had a minor problem with my tires. As I walked into the entrance, I noticed the workers busting their butts on their jobs. The previous stores I’ve visited the employees have not shown that energy. I was quickly greeted by a friendly worker. He thoroughly checked my car and found an issue that I wasn’t aware of. The car was in and out very quickly because several workers were working hard. I can’t recommend this location enough.

I went in to Discount Tire to fix a nail in my tire and ended up feeling pressured into buying four new tires I wasn’t planning on. The technician told me my front tires were “dangerously worn” even though I had my tread checked at Honda less than three weeks ago, and the results didn’t indicate I needed new tires. When I asked about just rotating them, he refused, claiming it was a safety risk, and told me that’s “where he will draw the line.” I felt manipulated and scared into making a purchase. To make matters worse, I used my Discount Tire credit card, which I thought was still open. The employee told me he can issue a new card and it wouldn’t affect my credit, but it did, it was a brand-new credit check. Overall, the sales tactics and misinformation left me frustrated and stressed. I don’t feel this was a helpful or honest experience.

Extremely dissatisfied from last visit. Went for routine summer/winter tires swap. Have done with this car since 2023 when I bought it new. Today after checking in and showing them I got the winter tires in the car and would like to get them on the same wheels, in a little while, I am called to go by the car and told by some tire tech, they won't install the wheels on my car. My car is lifted up, wheels off with winter tires already installed. Then tire tech named Luke informs me that because I have a wheel spacers and according him the wheel nuts are not put correctly. I assured him the spacers are installed properly over two years ago, Blue Thread Lock and correct torque have been applied. There is no sign of anything loose or broken. However this guy who admitted is new at this service, declares this a liability issue and refuses to install the wheels on and declares this car need to be towed away. Mind you I told him I have been to this service with this car and wheel spacers number of times already and never anyone said anything about the spacers. Just a few months ago I purchased a set of new summer tires and they installed them on without any issues. I have been customer of this service 20+ years, I had 3 or 4 other different cars with a similar wheel spacer setup. They never said anything about the wheel spacers before, I never lost a wheel or tried to blame them. I had to call the Police for assistance and two officers showed up, I explained my frustration and getting my car towed against my will. After talking with someone from the service, despite being sympathetic to me, they said this is a civil matter and they see things like 50/50, they assured me my car could be towed to a place of my choice. Why an overzealous tire tech is even allowed to make issue with car that have been serviced number of times already with same wheel, wheel spacers setup. Maybe next time he will say your windshield is cracked or wipers are worn or oil level too low and is safety issue and car need to be towed away. You lost a long time customer that serviced many cars through the years.

Jacob, you are the man! I had a double puncture and a terribly low tred on 2 tires and when I rolled up the line of cars was out the parking lot. Didn't matter.....Jacob figured out what was wrong and then worked with me on pricing (Even matched my Costco Membership deals) and got me done and on the road way faster than I thought they would, so busy they did my car in the space by the garage and it was below freezing out! 🥶 Everything was great and saved my night, Thanks again Jacob and all the boys!

I like the way that staff go out of their way to help and explain to you what is going on. They repair your tires for free even if you bought them somewhere else. They also put air in your tires for free. I have been recommending them for several years now.

Great experience at the tire check lane. Work van indicated the rear tires were low. Drove up, a very friendly technician came out and verified the rated pressure, and then they were filled. All low tore pressure sensors alerts cleared and I was able to drive off without issue.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Be careful working with them. Crew is always rushing out to greet you when you arrive but since i told them i just need a tire installed on a rim i purchased elsewhere (since they didn't have the tire i wanted), they went cold with me and didn't give a crap about helping. They called me back to tell me the tire is ready 3 hours later and i come back to find out the tire has a bubble on the side. No communicated before picking it up, knowing damn well it's not safe to drive on a tire like that but didn't give a crap about that, they just wanted me to pick it up and leave or purchase a tire from them. Very unprofessional and very disappointed. They told me they will "take care of me" and all they did is remove the tire and give it back to me the way i bought it after they took money from me. No refunds, no apologies. This is how they treat customers they aren't selling tires to. Plenty of close by tire places with better prices and service around, they aren't worth the headache

Walked in with a nail in my tire. They were so busy but somehow were able to get me seen quickly. I truly thought the tire was not patchable and was expecting to pay for a new tire. They let me know they were able to patch it and got me out so quickly. These guys are great and trustworthy! Will definitely be back!

Inside service/consultation was impeccable, no complaints. My complaint is that I got home to find my new spare tire, my jumper cables, my continental tire kit, bolt,etc scattered about in my trunk. Manager reached out to apologize and to rectify the issue, which I appreciated. They are worth another visit as they have demonstrated that their leadership values good customer service.

I’m new to driving and just needed air in my tires. After going to three different gas stations, I actually ended up losing air because the machines weren’t working—even with customers and employees trying to help. By the time I got to Discount Tire, two of my tires were down to 14 PSI. They were absolute heroes. Jason was incredibly patient and kind, took the time to help me, and filled all of my tires quickly. The service was completely free, and I never felt rushed or judged. I’ll need new tires soon, and if the free service was this exceptional, I can’t imagine how good their other services are. I’m so grateful for their help and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
