Worst customer service. I spent 15 minutes trying to just get a hold of someone in service department and sales. If you buy a car from here, good luck trying to reach a human on the other line.

Engines seized at 70k miles and should have been under warranty. The previous owner never did a software update in 2018 so they told me the engine warranty of 10 year 100k mikes was voided. The software update has nothing to do with the engine. Classic greedy companies not caring about you. What’s new.

Justin Shecton in the service department is top tier! From the second I walked in he was on top of it. I shared my concerns and he ensured me I wasn’t crazy for being worried about certain aspects for what I felt was going on with my car. (The shop I went to previously did). Justin made me feel confident that my car was going to be repaired not only appropriately but also in a timely matter. This was extremely important to me and I was over the moon to be working with someone who genuinely cared about my concerns and wanted to do anything they can to fix it. He’s helped navigate my insurance claim, gotten documents to them that they needed on my behalf & just went above & beyond. I also appreciated having a texting option to ask about updates on my car as well. He’s kept me involved in every step. Justin has also helped me with my transportation needs to and from the shop. He also helped me secure a loaner vehicle during the time I am not with my car as I shared how uncomfortable Ubers make me. His attentiveness is unmatched. I can’t say enough good things, he even worked around my Night Shift schedule and didn’t call me until I was awake for the day. Justin is not only an awesome employee but also just an all around stand up guy. I will definitely be a Hyundai Service Customer for life with this experience.

Inadequate staff. My KIA car ran out of battery, and I found the nearest charging station through an app, which led me to a Hyundai dealership. The app didn’t indicate any restrictions for the station, and when I arrived, there were no signs prohibiting charging either. I calmly plugged in my car to charge, but after some time, a staff member from the service center ran up to my car, opened the door, and said, “Who gave you the right to charge your car here?” I explained that I had found the nearest charging station on the map and came because my car was out of battery. I said that if charging here was prohibited, I would leave. I had 10 minutes left to finish charging and asked if I could leave after that, and he agreed, saying 10 minutes was fine. However, a minute later, he ran back and started trying to unplug the charger from my car (which is impossible without stopping the charging process at the station), and in doing so, he broke the locking mechanism on the charging port. I asked him what he was doing and told him not to damage my car. He replied that his manager told him to make me leave. My questions are: • Why did he feel the need to run up to my car and open the door to someone else’s vehicle? • Why did he have to damage the locking mechanism on the charging port instead of simply asking me to leave? This behavior is absolutely unacceptable! I plan to file a complaint with the Kia service center and send the Hyundai dealership an invoice for the damage to my car. There was a security camera at the corner of the building, and my dashcam was also recording in my car. Please be cautious with the staff at this center—they are not reasonable.

Ya'll are too hard on service centers lol. As someone who currently works in the industry, these guys are pretty great. Easy to deal with, and they all work hard for their clients. They've always done right by me, for routine service, and even with warranty claims. Helped me save 80% of my big ticket service bill when I was one month outside of warranty. Have a little bit of humanity for the person on the other side of the counter. It goes a long way, for both parties, I promise.
