looks like im not the first with the same experience. went in for just a transmission fluid and filter change. got back home and noticed leaking from the drain plug. went to turn it and it came lose with just my fingers. now i notice the same from the gasket around the drain pan. all the bolts were left finger tight. careless. edit: in reply to the owners reply i think my poor review was waranted. sure they'll take care of the issue now but i dont feel comfortable having this place touch my vehicle anymore. someone in my family has had their transmission rebuilt here and they recomended them and im sure they arent careless when it comes to a big job but going in for a fluid change only, they dont really care in my opinion.

These guys were awesome with their customer service. We called to check ask about working on a vehicle that was a bit of an oddball. They were in constant contact with us, and gave us all the information we needed in a very short amount of time. We ended up doing something different with the vehicle all together is the only reason we decided not to have them do the work. Excellent customer service the whole way through.

Lee is the son of the owner, Ed’s has been around for many years. His dad started the business, he is honest, and fair, he even refunded my parents money on their transmission repair a few years ago, that’s why I went to him, his work is also excellent, he figured out what was going with my car when the dealerships couldn’t. My car is running smoothly now. Like new.

Took my 2018 Ford F150 for transmission shifting problems. They fixed it but 9 months later it starting having shifting problems again. Took it in and they covered it under their warranty. They worked on it for 3 weeks. It now seems to be shifting fine. Thank you Ed’s Transmission for working so hard on getting my truck fixed.

My LTZ Tahoe started having transmission problems. Rough shifting, not going in overdrive on the highway. Asked trusted friends where to take it, they said Eds Transmission on Sawyer in Beaumont. They have been around for years, and will give you an honest assessment. They did the repairs on time, and for less than the quoted possible price. Excellent service!

I do not live in Beaumont but I recently took my Rav4 here because a family member who lives in Beaumont referred me to Ed's and I'm so glad I went! The car shop I took my vehicle to in the town I live priced me at an extraordinary rate and didn't take the time to explain to me exactly, details of what needed to be repaired and why. they also rushed in a couple days to tell me only general work that needed to be done. Ed's was the complete opposite! they had my car for about a week but I appreciated that they took the time to figure out exactly what was going on with my transmission. Once I got my car back I had a minor concern and Lee took the time to explain the expected adjustments. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here if you have any issues with your vehicle; they are also reasonably and fairly priced!

I have been doing business with Ed's for 20+ years and have found them to run their business with quality work and integrity. There have been several occasions in which they could have done more extensive and costly work than was required, but, instead, offered me and honest evaluation of the problems and performed the necessary work at reasonable prices. I highly recommend these folks. Update. As an example of what I stated in my original post, I spent over $1400 in 3 different shops (replacing front end components) trying to get a problem in my truck resolved. Coming to think that the problem was in the transmission, I took it Ed's expecting to spend several thousand $$$. Although he could have torn into the transmission, costing me big bucks, he did some investigation and found the problem to be a broken motor mount -- $300. This is the quality of work and integrity that I referenced in my original review.

This is the only place to go if you are having issues with your vehicle. I went to 2 different places to have my truck looked at. I did not like the way they treated me as a person. And they wanted me to leave my truck overnight to run test. I felt this was unnecessary and they were talking about replacing a lot of parts with a big price. So I googled transmission shops and Ed came up. I drove to his shop where I was greeted and was treated with respect. I enjoyed my conversation with all 3 generations that were there. Very polite and caring. They took time to look at my truck even though they were busy. I am going through financial difficulties and expressed that. They made suggestions on what could be done. Everything was explained and also the percentage of it working. (I really didn't have money to rebuild my transmission as other shop was talking about). They opened her up and flushed her out and changed the filter. They did this on the same day I went in. And it worked! My truck is running with out jerks and shaking! Thank God for this place of business! They we're kind and respectful. And didn't charge me for things I didn't need. Honest business is hard to find. I highly recommend Eds. Thank you for being honest, caring, and an awesome family.

Great experience all around. Very informative and honest. Quick turnaround as well, dropped truck off on a Tuesday afternoon and it was ready to go on Friday afternoon. Cost came close to lower end of estimate. Warranty gives you piece of mind, but no issues so far. Highly recommend this shop. Thanks again Ed's Automatic Transmission. Owner even saved me a walk in the heat by driving me to my destination when I dropped truck off to be worked on.

We brought my sons 2008 Toyota Tundra 4X4 to them. They were fast and efficient. Not only did they replace the transmission for a fair price but got the transfer case working as well. The communication was top notch as they explained every step of the process. We had a very smooth transaction. I would highly recommend this place for any of your transmission and transfer case needs.

Was recommended to them for a rebuild on my 2018 Z71 automatic. They were thorough and explained everything. Price was fair and below many I had called. They showed me all the old parts and explained the failures. Top notch place, if you have transmission issues Ed’s is the only game in town. Thanks Ed’s!

Cash paying customer could get transmission rebuilds in about 3 days. Daughter's Durango was under extended warranty. 3 weeks to get warranty adjustment to the location and then another 3 weeks, after 8 weeks messing around with warranty a NEW TRANSMISSION was put in from which was purchased at the dealership. 3 yr/100K warranty on this transmission. ED'S advised that would be the last Durango they worked on . Don't know if cause it was all wheel drive 2020. Just glad it fixed. The extended warranty now is to pay back on car rental for 5 weeks. Guess we will see how long that takes. Total cost of transmission job was 9,000.00$; daughter had to come out of her pocket 1400.00$.

Super nice folks. No complaints about customer service or price of service. This is just my experience and I’m sure it’s not the norm as the reviews are mostly good. Came highly recommended from others. Got my transmission fluid changed at the end of January and about 2 weeks later when I was doing some suspension work I noticed some sort of fluid on part of the exhaust. It ended up being fluid seeping out of the pan around the gasket. I called and they of course would take care of it but not until the following week. I then decided to see what the bolts were torqued to and low and behold probably 9 or so of the bolts on the pan were loose enough I could remove by hand. It’s more of a trust thing and I’m not gonna come back in for service when bolts can’t be tightened. I know that if I didn't catch it and my transmission started Having problems I would be on the hook for it. Like I said. Nice folks, good price for the service and I’m sure this was an uncommon occurrence but it’s my expirence..

Ed’s Automatic rebuilt my dreaded 10R80 transmission in my 2018 F150. The CDF drum bushing moved (picture below of the 2018 CDF drum) which is a matter of time on the 10R80 transmissions, and the team over here had me in and out in a week for a great price! You can YouTube CDF drum and it’s all over the internet, Flying Wrenches does a great video explaining it. My Truck runs and shifts great with the new revised CDF drum and it’s ready for another 100k miles! And you get a 12/12 warranty which is a relief! I’d highly recommend taking your Ford Expedition, F150 from 2018-2023 here if you have no warranty! Super nice, honest people and family owned.
