I sent a 4.7 L Jeep Cherokee motor to be rebuilt by them in a June of 2023. They finished the rebuild later the same month. I am not a full time mechanic, I had help from a good friend of mine that is a mechanic who would work with me on Saturdays. We spent ten weeks trying to get the motor started. I spent lots of extra dollars on parts I didn’t need trying to get it running. Injectors, wires, plugs, multiple oil changes due to fuel getting in the oil trying to start it. We had made several calls to Engines Extreme, tried everything they suggested. Finally at Engines Xtreme request I paid to tow it to a mechanic down the street from them. It turns out they put the wrong gear on the crankshaft that had completely wrong number of teeth and it would have never started. We finally got it back in November 23. We still had a lot of the front end parts to put back together so started driving it in December 23. Upon receiving the vehicle back we noticed a noise that we mistakingly thought was an exhaust leak. The reason of not contacting Engines Xtreme until May of this year is that #1) This is not a daily driver, had only 5000 to 10,000 miles on it before confirming the noise that it was making out of the box was not the exhaust. #2) I had 2 foot surgeries since we got it back, first in February 24 and 2nd in January 25. We contacted Engines Xtreme in April this year, they advised us to take it back to the same mechanic. It’s still there to this day. We were trying to get Engines Xtreme to get the problem fixed. They refuse, they claim that they are not at fault. They claim they didn’t make a mistake, even after putting the wrong crank gear and causing us to waste 10 weeks trying to get it to start. Bottom line they messed up the crank and the either did something wrong with timing system or they used defective parts, or from us trying to start it for 10 weeks caused lubrication issue and caused the timing chain to stretch. I now have to pay the mechanic they told me to take it to in hopes they didn’t do something else wrong. Horrible customer service, their refusal to stand behind their work would have me advise anyone to not solicit their services.

11/10 would recommend! These guys are efficient and fair on pricing. I got my block bored out and resurfaced after a catastrophic piston detonation failure and they had it looking like new! Also had my crankshaft balanced and cylinder head resurfaced and vacuum tested for my 1.8 Miata. Only issue I had was my fault- I'm used to metric sizing and they use standard so I was a bit confused at first. Definitely recommend giving these guys a shot for any motor needs!
