Blew a trailer tire and the spare, leaving a vehicle stuck in a dangerous area of SR82. I called, they confirmed the tires were in stock, and immediately was taken care of. The staff was great, and they eliminated a very stressful experience, getting our business back on the road promptly. TERRIBLE - my car has been sitting at this store for the past 2 WEEKS - I dropped it off on 11/8/24 and today is 11/21/24. Jimmy, the store manager, isn’t there half the time and doesn’t seem to have a clue what he’s doing. After I had dropped my car off, I had to call them the next day to even figure out what was wrong. He’s told us the car would be done for the past week, yet there’s still something wrong with it. I got the call yesterday, 11/20/24, that my car was done. I go to pick it up the next day and the engine light is still on - which is one of the original problems I went in with. When I told them this, they said “oh well we didn’t run the diagnostic for the engine, that’s separate” WHY?? If that’s one of the issues I had going in, why wouldn’t it be checked regardless of the fee? I’m not accepting my car that was paid for with an engine light on. I’m not sure why they even thought this was acceptable? It’s been sitting there for 2 weeks to not even be fixed the correct way? The girl at the front desk had to take the heat for Jimmy’s mistake since again, he wasn’t there to deal with the issue. The water pump was bad on my VW and I understand the parts need to be shipped and it could be a difficult job that only certain techs can do. But if it was truly so difficult for them, they could’ve told me and I would’ve just taken it to VW and probably wouldn’t be in this situation. I’ve already brought this issue to the attention of the Fire Stone Customer Service twice. The communication and the service this store has provided has been nothing but awful, ridiculous, and unacceptable. After being a loyal Fire Stone customer, I will no longer be using this company.
