First Class Halt has always been good concerning customer service, for example(s); when you first walk in, there is no anger or sadness, I mean you could almost feel the warmth and the welcoming. Don’t get me started with the conversations, they wanna make you feel at ease, lift up your spirits. As far as my car is concern, I have taken my car to First Class Halt twice, and so far, they have done a terrific job keeping my car (Accord Sport 2015) purring like a cat. I am so satisfied with their service. Did you know, First Class Halt call me personally (1 week later) just to have a follow up concerning my car? Let me tell ya, if you own a Lexus, Acura or Honda, please take your car to First Class Halt. I assure you will be very pleased.

I can't say enough great things about the crew at Sandlappers. They have done a great job taking care of my car and showing me issues that need to be taken care of before they turn into bigger problems. They fix what needs fixed and don't upsell just to make more money. I'm happy to have found a shop I trust to take care of all of my car's needs. I've put 97K on my car and I still love driving it. Thanks guys!!

I loved the way I was kept informed about everything that was being done and why. There was no pressure to do something in addition to what was scheduled. They did find my battery was bad, so I was able to replace it before getting up one day and being unable to start my car. I really appreciated the shuttle service since I only have one car. This was my first experience with First Class Halt, but it definitely won't be my last. Thank you all.

Friendly, efficient, professional staff. Clean neat facility reflected their efforts to make customers comfortable with their business and service. I certainly was, after discussing the issues with my vehicle we arrived at a plan to get me back on the road and the cost of everything. Since I was by myself I really appreciated their concierge service. I was driven home and a few hours later received notice my car was ready and soon had a ride at my door to bring me back to the shop and a well taken care of car that had been serviced much quicker than I expected. I definitely will be returning for the next service.

Was having issues with my Pilot - multiple warning lights - I called at 11:00 am and they got me right in - my car was ready to roll 24 hrs later. Everyone was so nice and professional and my car is running great now! I highly recommend - compared to a dealership who overcharges - First Class Halt was reasonable and fair. I will certainly be back! Thank you for wonderful service!

Hello! First, let me start off by saying that the staff & service were phenomenal! I have never used their services prior & would definitely recommend friends & family! Randy was a true professional & it was greatly appreciated. On the downside of things,I feel as if the quality of the material & pricing were not marrying.I got brakes & rotors done & everything was close to $1700(2015 Lexus GS 350 F Sport)(Front). That wasn't the issue. They use an off-site Lexus dealership for parts & I honestly don't feel as if the brake pads were Lexus certified. I've had Lexus certified brake pads prior & I have never had a problem with the pads giving off so much brake dust.My wheels are alloy & after a few days of driving, they are as black as the car itself. My initial thought was that they needed to wear down a bit & at some point, the black dust wouldn't persist to be an issue. That is definitely not the case. This isn't a daily driver but I wash it at least once a week. The brake pad dust continues to be an issue & the stopping of the car takes a lot longer than normal. My suggestion is that the parts need to be checked thoroughly before installation.Overall,I would still recommend this establishment.

No stars. I took my 2005 Lexus to them after being referred by a trusted friend and after putting almost 3 thousand into it, it was worse when I picked it up. I had asked when I dropped it and got the estimate if it was worth fixing and was told that it definately was, and once these items were fixed, everything else looked good. I took them at their word even though they did not take responsibility for how bad it sounded upon pickup and wanted more money to fix that. Sadly, because I trusted my friend and this place, I am out almost 3 thousand dollars and only got one thousand for my car. I would not advise anyone to use this place. The response from the owner says they have tried to call and make things right and I have not received one phone call, text, email and in fact, their response is the only communication received since I left with my car that wasn't fixed. I would never recommend anyone going to this place. I have never written a review but this was wrong and I don't want anyone to have to go through this.

I was very pleased with the service and advice I received from HALT. They are, by far, more responsive and their customer service is excellent. Please note, my car and I were treated better here than at the local Lexus dealership.

First time using First Class H.A.L.T. for my 2019 Toyota 4Runner and I was very impressed. I needed all four brakes replaced, all fluids replaced, and a few more maintenance items. They are very respectful and appreciative of your business. They set the benchmark for how a business should be run. Just think “Chick-fil-A” of car maintenance and repair. It’s not just doing a great job, but doing it so well you gladly come back as a repeat customer. Well done First Class H.A.L.T. Mauldin!

Great service & competent maintenance. David & his coworkers are up front & straight shooters. Not out to fleece anyone. Lexus dealer wanted $1000+ for things they thought were required- Halt wanted $300 for what was really required.

No Stars. It’s VERY disappointing to see how many repair shops are no longer for the people and are only focused on money. I went in for a quote because a taillight was out on my Honda Accord. Before going, I did my research and even visited two Honda dealerships to get quotes so I had a realistic price range in mind. HALT quoted me $600+ just to replace a taillight — more than double what the dealership quoted. When I asked how much the actual part cost, I was told $320, which simply wasn’t true. A third-party OEM site had the same part for $150, and a brand-new OEM taillight from the dealership was only $238. I ended up finding an OEM taillight on eBay in great condition for $48 and installed it myself in under 45 minutes. Charging over $600 for a job that cost me $48 and less than an hour of time is ridiculous. That’s not honest business — that’s a money scheme. Truly sad to see practices like this.

We received battery replacement service at Halt and the experience couldn’t have better. The work was completely timely, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we have been up and running with no further incidents. Highly recommended based on this experience!

Wow, HALT really came to my rescue the other day, my battery died and they helped me get back on the road quickly. They’ve bent over backwards to keep the shop open late and gave me the white glove treatment all around. I am so impressed with their online inspection reports and how transparent they are with everything they are doing. Their customer service is unmatched.

I had a pretty good repair experience at this place. The customer service is good, and they were able to get me in pretty quickly. They offer a shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 10 mile radius which is great for those who don't want to sit around all day waiting in the shop. The manager at the front desk was pretty helpful in answering my questions about what was going on with my car. It had a parasitic battery drain. They called me and kept me updated with the progress real time which was definitely appreciated! Hopefully the battery doesn't die when the car isn't started for a few days and the battery drain problem is fixed for good, time will tell. My garage back in Ohio gives out complimentary rental cars when the car needs to stay overnight. It would be amazing if they did this too, even if it is an older Toyota Corolla, etc. It doesn't need to be a Lexus. This company does not offer that and instead says they have a "good deal" with a rental company for $50/day. I beg to differ, as I can get on priceline anytime and get a car with less than a day's notice for a 1 day rental for $41 including taxes and fees. Let alone the free complimentary rental I would expect. Other than the rental car situation I had a great experience with this garage and it would have been a 5 star review. I think getting some cheap older honda civics or toyota corollas on the fleet to be free rental cars would take this place to the next level.

I had an amazing experience at First Class Halt in Mauldin. The customer service was truly top-tier—everyone I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure I understood what was going on with my vehicle. They took the time to explain everything clearly without any pressure or upselling, which I really appreciated. Their honesty stood out the most. It’s rare to find an auto shop that is this transparent and trustworthy. They gave me straightforward recommendations, kept me updated throughout the process, and delivered exactly what they promised. If you’re looking for a place with great service, skilled technicians, and real integrity, I highly recommend First Class Halt in Mauldin. I’ll definitely be coming back!
