All except a good mechanic shop. In Junuary my wife hit the driver side that needed some work, a brother recommended me these guys that's where all got started. I spent 2500$ the guys promised a good work before they start I asked them if they will fix everything , all agreed, my car stayed at thier place for about a month with lies, they fixed the body and let hidden damages there, they told me its motor mount making noise that I may need to fix that later mad all arguments until got paid. Brought back my car to Nashville all professional mechanics agreed that a bad work was done on the car the body that was put there started falling for less than a month after fixed by these guys. Driver side tire axe was broke , making a big noise the tire almost came out while I'm driving. Just paid 420$ to have that fixed with a pro and other things still pending to be fixed. I wasted money and time with these people that I realy regret at this point I wish to never known this shop to be honest. If I was you I'll look somewhere else.

Took my daughter's car. They could use a receptionist. But everyone works outside (together). The owner runs this place like a well oiled machine. The repairs get a 3 out of five. The service came with a complete auto detail; therefore, they get a four out of five.

Lousy work for the price. Not a good body shop for the price that they charge. I paid over 3500 for the worst job I have ever laid eyes on. Don't go to them you will be wasting your money. I am so upset about the work verses the price. Not worth it. Stay away.

We took a 1982 Cutlass Supreme here for some work about two months ago. Living locally to the body shop, we have seen a lot of traffic here, so we were bold enough to believe they were producing quality work. James was paid in full for new paint and some body work, yet the car was returned to us in any condition except ready. We ended up having to take the car back on several occasions to try getting decals, pin stripes, leaking door/window, door mouldings, window trim and other parts in order, back to the way they were before this shop dismantled it. This shop is not operaring with integrity, that's a certainty. The Cutlass already has rust bleeding through on several spots, the decals are still not in the right place, window leaks (even though we paid extra to have glass removed and reinstalled (which they had another company come on-site and do), and we would have many more problems had we not stood right in the parking lot and waited for them to be properly fixed before leaving. Those items that remain unresolved will be dealt with by professionals...not First Coast Automotive. I will never refer anyone to James or any of his affiliates. Find a real paint shop if you want quality results. This place caters to amatuers and people who have insurance games going on...not people who pay good money for good work. Avoid this place.

Very poor Job! Very cheap material quality! Very Poor customer service, the owner doesn't have a clue about what he is doing, he keeps lying and giving none sense excuses. I Paid them $2400 to paint the car, only to see the paint cracking all over the car after few moths. Stay away from this people!

I stopped by an asked would it be ok to tow the vehicle that he Mr James came by and looked at and said that he can fix it. He said bring it in as long as it run. Car had been sitting so it did need a jump tow truck driver tempted to drop car off and was stopped in the process by Mr James owner saying that he couldn’t take car that has to be jumped off after telling me something totally different. I wouldn’t have spent $100.00 on a tow truck now $100. 00 to tow it back . Tow truck informed me that Mr James wouldn’t take my car so I immediately called his office where his rude wife answered the phone with no customer service. I wouldn’t advise no one to take there vehicle to this shop if you are looking for good customer service.

I've been working with Mr. James for the past four years now. He and his team have serviced three of my vehicles, and I have only received great service from day one. I dropped my vehicles off, and he had them ready within a reasonable frame of time for pickup. Communication is great. I highly recommend their services.

Do not take your car there. Work is garbage. Literally ruined it and did more damage. The car came out in worse condition than when it went in. Don’t recommend anyone to take there car for anyone get any work done at this place. BMW emblem cracked , 540i emblem glued back in crooked. Over spray everywhere. Painted over sensors. They do not care about anything or people possessions.

I recently had my car painted at your shop, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing. When I first picked up my car, I quickly realized that nothing had been properly reassembled—my license plate wasn’t screwed in, the taillights weren’t bolted down, and several key components were left loose or entirely unsecured. I returned the vehicle, and those initial issues were taken care of. However, just yesterday I noticed that the rear mud flap connected to my bumper looked off. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that several clips were missing, and my diffuser was missing bolts that had never been reinstalled. Although frustrating, I decided to bring it back in again to have it corrected. This morning, I returned to your shop and was met with completely unprofessional behavior from James. I’ve always referred to him as James, but today he suddenly insisted I call him "Mr. James" in a very condescending tone. When I calmly pointed out a crack in the paint—something I paid good money for—he became defensive and accused me of "acting like I know it all." His attitude was extremely rude, dismissive, and unacceptable. I am very disappointed with how this entire process has unfolded. Not only was the workmanship incomplete, but the customer service was lacking. I expected a higher standard of professionalism and attention to detail, and unfortunately, that expectation was not met

We first used First Coast Automotive before the Pandemic. We learned about their business when we were clipped on I-10 West heading home in traffic during a weekday. The car that hit our 2014 F150 wanted the repairs done at this shop. We had some other significant damage around the body that we asked them to estimate. Pricing was very reasonable, and the work completed was excellent. In December 2025, we reached out to find that this business was still operating. We took our 2020 F150 from a dealership, over to Mr. James for an estimate; pricing was still very reasonable, especially in a time when costs for services are skyrocketing and cost of living is ridiculous. Our gas tank door suddenly became very loose a few months back. The dealership quoted us around $300 for the repairs. The door itself was still in perfect condition. It was the inner connection that became loose. We couldn’t find anything online, indicating this was a manufacturing recall but it was unexpected. We had damage to both the front and rear bumpers, and various scratches/marks along the sides. We took the truck in for an estimate on the Monday before New Years. Dropped it off for the job a week later. Got it back the same week in better condition. We always use a small business whenever we can. Small businesses give back to your community and depend on your good experiences for their future business. First Coast Automotive is known for their integrity, commitment, and value to a job well done. We won’t be taking our vehicles anywhere else as long as we’re in this part of Florida. Locally owned and operated, Mr. James and his wife (office manager) are friendly, respectful, and dependable.
