After my 2011 Mazda 3 was totaled by a drunk driver, I was in a tough spot financially and thought I was going to end up with some junker. I talked to a few dealerships, but no one seemed to have what I needed. Then I went to Flow Volkswagen, and I’m so glad I did! Dillon, my salesperson, was awesome. He worked with me to get me into a 2018 Audi A4 with low mileage and a monthly payment I could actually afford. I never thought I’d end up with something like that given my situation, but Dillon and the whole team really came through. I hope I’m not car shopping again anytime soon, but when I am, I’ll definitely be back to Flow. Highly recommend them!

I was not actively seeking a new vehicle. Eddie initiated contact to inform me about the 2025 models. Upon my arrival, I was professionally greeted by Karim, who demonstrated exceptional courtesy. We proceeded with several test drives, during which Karim maintained a non-pressuring approach, a notable distinction from other establishments. He meticulously detailed each feature, along with the advantages and disadvantages of the various models. Subsequently, we discussed financing options, and I received the anticipated value for my trade-in, supplemented by several thousand dollars in incentives. Despite the late hour, Karim remained dedicated to ensuring a seamless financing and transfer process. He even assisted with transferring my belongings between vehicles. My experience with Karim was exemplary, comparable only to my previous purchase with Kevin, also from FLOW VW. I highly recommend.

My daughter went in for a simple oil change & rotation and they had coupons on their website for $170 for these combined services. They ended up charging her $182 just for the oil change and after multiple attempts, finally got someone to return my call. Emma Wilson was the service tech and she called me back only to tell me verbatim from her mouth, that she would never get her oil changed at a dealership that the prices just keep going up and up. I was shocked to hear one of their own employees tell me this and she said she would hold on to the other places I’ve been using because their pricing is much better. Highly disappointing that they wouldn’t tell us about the coupon and because we didn’t print it out and handed it to them they would not honor it. Definitely would not use this dealership unless it’s your last option.

Update: Extremely disappointed with Flow Auto Volkswagen of Charlottesville and Volkswagen Customer Care. I called multiple times to confirm my service appointment and loaner — no one answered and my voicemail was not returned. The morning of my appointment, I was told there were no loaners available and was asked to reschedule. This has happened before. My brand-new vehicle continues to have system issues, and I’m being sent back and forth with no clear resolution. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. Getting my Atlas was smooth. I did not have to be in the dealership all day. I expressed what I was looking for and Karim and Jenny made it happen. Karin took the time to go over the vehicle with me and answer questions. Jenny took the time to go over the deal. Thank you!

I bought a 2025 Golf GTI here yesterday, and had a fantastic experience. The were willing to help in a multitude of ways and extremely accommodating on different requests and needs. The lobby area is comforting and everyone is welcoming and friendly. Karim was a great salesperson and very kind to me and my family. Eddie, Jenny, and Corvin were also extremely helpful. The worst VW dealership I have ever been to, and I have been to them all over the country. Not only was I not greeted by anyone when I walked in (the employees I could see were on their phones ignoring customers and I had to walk up and ask for directions to the service desk), they refused to fix something that was supposed to be under warranty and blamed the VW dealership I had purchased the vehicle from for faulty workmanship. After much hassle, and being charged a $200 diagnostic fee, I finally just took the car to the Richmond dealership, where it was fixed with no problems. I will be going to Richmond from now on. Awful experience, will never go back again and will recommend that any VW owner drive to Richmond.

VW owners be aware! Exceptionally poor customer service by the reps and even worse business practices as I went in for a free recall repair and what should have been a routine oil change, which almost turned into a $3,000 pay day for the dealer. Went to the dealer to have a recall on our VW Atlas taken care of and an oil change. A few hours later, was sent two text messages from a Service Rep Emma. One with a video from the technician and the other with a quote. In the video, the service tech begins by stating the video was taken AFTER the oil change had been completed. He then went on to explain that bolts, nuts, screws for some of the plastics, oil filter drain, and the oil pan drain plug were stripped. He pointed out a few other minor details that he recommended get fixed. Now for the quote. We were quoted ~$2,900 for the replacement parts for the stripped bolts/nuts/screws. I tried to call and was sent to voicemail. I replied back to the text messages (as it says thats an option within the link o the video). I received a call back from Emma, who voiced what the technician had said in the video. I asked; with the amount being quoted, how was the work performed if the bolts, etc were so severely stripped that it warranted to be replaced? I was told that the technicians are required to report any 'damages' while the worked in performed so it wasnt caused by the technician. She brought the technician on the phone who explained that 'normally' he would've taken a video before doing the work but 'forgot' to this time. Emma became very rude when asked how do we proceed. After back and forth about the dealer covering the cost to replace, Emma started to reach for blame saying it was caused by a different place where work was performed. They refused to pay for the replacement parts and when I went to pick up the vehicle, Emma threatened us with having to pay for the recall work performed if I didnt sign the paperwork for the work 'completed'.

We took a road trip and visited Flow Volkswagen earlier this month. We had been looking for a Ford Expedition with particular specs and Flow had taken one in on trade. It is a well cared for unit and after talking to Karim, I could tell the care that Flow Volkswagen took as they prepped it for sale. Clean, clean, clean and came with a service contract and warranty. It was a long 12 hour day, but 100% worth it. Karim and Jenny were easy to work with, not pushy and very efficient with our time. They made buying from out of state a breeze.
