I need to take my car to the professionals for the first time in 20 years and I felt the German auto repair was very polite and their prices were reasonable. It actually cost me more for parts needed for the labor, and they were very honest about it

I would give this place no stars if I could. Rude management. Walked in today when I heard the receptionist make rude comments toward done customers only to later on discover one of the victims of the comments was an employee, whom was then also yelled at and fired by the owner of this establishment. I have gone here for more than a year for All of my cars, but I warn everyone else of disrespectful staff management as well as the oh so LOVELY receptionist.

I've been going to Dennis's shop since it was "Pinkey's" . Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. John, at the front desk kept me informed of the progress of the repairs and any addition work that should be performed. Stacey, keeps the shop running smoothly at the accounts desk. Albert was a very pleasant man and drove me to and from the shop as needed. Overall: A+

Sorry to rate without experiencing actual repair, but made an appointment and they asked if I could have the car in at 8am. I assumed that meant I had an appointment. I arrived at 7:50 and signed a quote for over $400. Said I could probably get in within the hour. Came back at 11 and car was still outside. They told me, sorry we made too many appointments. Good for you, bad for me, I drove an hour to get there. Drove to the vw dealer down the road and had the work done right away for $340.

Extremely nice people. My mk4 Jetta tdi was broken down on the side of the road, leaking oil and I decided to be towed to German Auto Repair. I called beforehand to make sure that I could be towed in there and the lady was really nice. She even recognized me by name when I walked in several hours later. They even offered to drive me home. They got my car fixed very quickly in a day and it runs perfectly. Dennis even texted me to check to see that everything was okay. My only problem was that was car was really grimy because of oily hands which I get. And the invoice wasn't very detailed with what they did, but all-in-all definitely recommend.

Great auto service and mechanics, really helpful and knowledgeable. Dennis reached out couple days after to see how everything was... that's awesome customer service, not one auto shop ever reached out after to check in. John was extremely helpful and cared about the customer. Highly recommend if you own a German car

German Auto Repair is privately owned German car repairs and restoration business. It is one of a kind car clinic that service and revives Mercedes ,BMW, Bentley, and Porche. Dennis the Owner is leading the orchestra with a squad of smart honest German car mechanics who brought my 560 SEC 91 with 235,000 miles back to a running stallion after it was Dead and refuse to run. Just got my smog passed few days ago..drives smooth and dandy 🤣. I highly recommend them to you. You will discover the last of the good breed mechanics alive 🙏. Affordable.. Courteous..honest and reliable 👍🇺🇸.

I felt like they did an adequate job but the price was very expensive for engine repair on my Mercedes E350. . They were polite and nice up until I needed to have some warranty work done. The defective work started to give me problems 200 miles after I had the repairs. I had originally paid in excess of $8K and then when I found out the job was done subpar and some parts were not replaced that should have been. Dennis (the owner) would not honor the warranty and help me out in anyway to compensate for this subpar repair that I had to have redone at a Mercedes dealership. Don’t let their kindness fool you when it comes time to honor warranty work. I learned the hard way and will take my vehicle elsewhere.

These people are amazing. They are professional and very courteous. My car is/was a real mess. Had a recall that expired due to an extra 2000 miles, yet they tried everything to try and get it. Unfortunately it was no go. They worked with me and after a month of research I chose to keep my car with them. Hoping to get it back soon. I would love to comment on the finished work when complete. At this point of my experience with them. I highly recommend them.

Mercedes benz fresno claimed to diagnose our 2018 Glc300 4matic. Gave me a quote to replace the transmission and transfer case $26,000!!! Had it towed to German auto repair for a second opinion. Fluid change, update programming, $1200, and car runs great. Huge shout out to Gary and crew. Friendly, fast, and won't rip you off, unlike MB fresno.

Run from this place. The worst place ever to get your car serviced. I had my Mercedes serviced there and after spending $2000 for noise coming from wheel, not only did they not fix the problem, but they caused more damage to my car and try to blame it on me. Because they didn't install the parts correctly and do an alignment, my bumper is damaged, my brand new Micheline tires are damaged and problem I originally took it there for is still there. Very costly. They are not experienced in Mercedes and they lie to shift the blame. Horrible service. In reply to the owners ridiculous reasoning: You just admitted to lying to me and not being such a good mechanic. When you change control arms you HAVE to do an alignment. So when I brought the car back specifically for alignment you didn't do it. Thanks, just what I needed. You just admitted that you lied. There is no language barrier as evident from this post and you have to be really stupid to believe that inner lining damage can be caused by hitting parking barrier. Tire wear from inside is caused by misalignment. You changed 4 parts and the noise is still there. A good mechanic would be able to pinpoint the problem.

You get back what you put in to this place. Respect, trust and fairness. I've been bringing my 1984 Mercedes 380SL here for over three years. Never felt pushed to make repairs I didn't feel were necessary. Dennis, John and the team know their stuff and you can talk to them. They have been doing this for decades and some of their technicians are one in a million. They have helped me on short notice and gone out of their way several times. If you own a German car this is a good place to start building a working relationship with reliable people that will support you well into the future. Highly recommend.

E320 had a Parasitic battery drain: car was at this shop for months. A new battery we bought was replaced by another one, battery drain persisted. The relay for the sun roof was removed, the sunroof seal was damaged. Upon a spontaneous visit, the inside of the car was disheveled with components and opened compartments, passenger seat was missing. Very sad. I released the car to them to be donated to a boys mechanic shop. I hope that happened.

Owner was not as pleasant as the reviews say. Had a little unnecessary altercation with him over finding his shop. I’m sure he’s cool but again I found it unnecessary for him to argue with me about it. However, we let it go was no big deal because it really was no big deal. But over all everyone else was great and helpful. Would still recommend for their services.

I’ve had my car serviced with this business for over 3 years, and I thought I was getting honest work done but every. single. time. I’ve received my car back there is some part not put back on correctly. I’ve spend over 5k getting repairs/maintenance done, the staff is friendly which makes you feel comfortable leaving your car until you find out they are quoting you for work without explaining why, parts aren’t put on back (isn’t quality knowledge the reason why labor is so expensive?) and there is something always “next” to fix after the car is returned. One instance they managed to incorrectly put my cooling fan on correctly, another instance was my skid plate. Please read the other honest reviews and take your business and hard earned money elsewhere.

My rare 2002 VR6 GTI 6-speed Manual lost shifting ability and I only had second gear. I called Gary & he got me in & they replaced the bad cable & worn bushings. When I got it back it drove great, but there was an issue with a broken C-clip...I took it in & they had it back to me the next day fixed no problem! If you need GREAT SERVICE...call these people! I will be going back for sure!

German Auto Repair is a top notch shop. You can put your trust in them. Our VW Vanagon broke down on a roadtrip. We found German Auto Repair on Van Alert and thank our Guardian Angel we did. They understood our dilemma. Were able to diagnose, trace and fix the problem to get us on the road again safe and secure. The owner Dennis is experienced. Gary and whole front office is professional and kind hearted. The mechanic that worked on our van was knowledgeable, helpful and thorough. They communicated with us throughout the whole process. We are extremely grateful. Highly recommend.
