Worse company I have ever dealt with they were rude never helped and just makes excuses. I was canceling with them was told I was all set after a misshap with payment and I didn't want to work with them anymore and they said I was all good after I paid a small fee for a payment mishap but was all set. Got no new emails from them except for right after the cancelation and then nothing and now 5 months later I get a call that I am being sent to collections for not paying a collection fee and need to pay the 50 dollars that they discounted because I paid too much my last month and I didn't even get one of the emails they stated they sent and not even one call. A trash company don't work with them. Had finally gotten a call back from the manager Nicole about the cancelation fee and she refunded me and apologized about how the customer service representatives acted after listening to the call she was very professional and kind!

• Any loss caused by ANY alterations not meeting manufacturer's specifications. This is a catch all phrase to deny claims. I had larger tires and a lift kit added by an approved outfitter by FORD. Transmission failed and claim denied ..... DO NOT spend your money. 3 yrs at a cost of $949.00 per year.. it would not let me give 0 stars!!!!

Not worth it, do your research and go with another company. We had to get insurance fast and our usual agency was closed. Got a quick policy with intention of switching. 5 days later I get everything switch amd go to cancel and I'm hit with additional fees, even though I paid up front and only had the policy active for 5 days. Good Sam isn't so good!

Called for a rv quote got a gentleman on the phone. Very rude from the beginning, started to seem to get louder when I told him that I was looking around for quote trying to pressure me into using them. Told him to get back with me monday to see where I was at with looking. He called me back today and asked if I wanted to get get their plan and as soon as I told him I found something different he just hangs up. To be honest how rude he was at first steered me from going with them. I thought maybe the guy was having a bad day, but how he acted on the call back just proved it wasn't a bad day.

They overcharged me from my insurance and then when I canceled it, they told me I didn’t owe them any more money and then sent me a bill later telling me that canceling it cost $50. Never sent me anything steer clear of them and go to progressive. I switched to them And it’s $25 less a month. i’m telling you horrible customer service, horrible communication and honestly horrible insurance

What a joke I need a stamp to register my Rv they me to send them a form they would stamp and send it back to me. so that would’ve been a few days before I could register at the DMV progressive stamped it and sent it by email in less than 30 minutes. So I canceled good CM and they still charge $50 for cancellation. They’re a joke. Don’t use them and don’t let the RV dealer push you to get a quote. They’re a scam

Very disappointing experience trying to setup a policy with them (based on my salesman's recommendation). Thankfully I saw reviews and cancelled the same day and went with a reputable insurer with a $500 deductible vs the $1,000 deductible these guys were trying to hand me for almost double the premium! Yikes guys!

Disappointing experience with chat. Then called the number and received quality help. All I needed to do was add a trailer to the policy. A cargo trailer. The individual on chat, Christian O. was very confused about the make and model descriptions and in the end it appears someone else, Michael, hung up the chat and logged me off the site. I guess they did not want me to leave a review? The company Good Sam uses appears to be National General and I think this is where the problem is.

A disaster of a company. I will never do business with anything 'Good Sam' again. The insurance pricing was ridiculously high and they charged a $30 cancellation fee for an insurance policy.

Called into inquire about RV insurance, first time doing this sort of thing, spoke with “Melissa”. We exchanged some cordial greetings, got a few logistics questions answered, but then hit a brick wall when it came to me asking some key questions for my understanding of how this process works for RV’s. She abruptly ended the call as I was just trying to get some important inquiries and legalities answered… terrible way to relate/deal with customers. Would NOT recommend Sam to anyone who values customer service and resolution of understanding.

Would give ZERO stars if possible. Went to make a claim, wouldn't cover 80% of what we were told was covered under our policy. Did not care that we were stranded for 2 days and had to find other accommodations. Guy basically told us oh well. Went ahead and cancelled policy. Do not recommend, there are other companies out there. Kimberly also did not care when I called to cancel. Gave me an attitude. I hope both calls were recorded.

So much for the “If you're not happy, I'm not happy”. I have emailed the CEO and what do I get a AI generated response, when I respond to the email with a question, I get the same identical response. STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY. They cancel your insurance and do not inform you they have canceled it. Then they try and sell you a much more expensive policy because they say you haven't had continuous coverage for X number of day. It is such a scam. Companies like these are what makes people not want to do business with places like this.

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this insurance. Beware that there is a $50 cancellation fee if you decide to cancel the insurance early. The fees are buried in the declaration page (on page 24). They do not disclose this to you in advance. Very deceptive.

Attempting an online quote and I entered my phone number. Within minutes my phone rings. They have called me everyday 3 times a day to see if they can get me a better quote. I finally blocked the number.

I was super interested. I filled out a quote, purposely omitting my telephone number for now. An hour later they call me. * How did you get my phone number? I left it out. * You submitted a quote online. * Yeah, but I omitted the phone number. Tldr; they're paying data brokers for your info. I'm no longer interested. Tired of the aggressive privacy violations by sales-focused companies.

Tire and roadside assistance were good . Then we had a hail storm and the adjuster said yes you have hail damage, inside adjuster said yes it’s hail damage but the desk said it’s wear and tear and I should have replaced the roof on it years before. Who would replace a roof on an Rv unless it’s leaking. Other people around had the same storm and got full roof replacement. I tried to find an attorney to help me but couldn’t find one.i was an insurance adjuster for over 20 yrs. Good Sam is an affiliate of Allstate. I quit working for them because they denied roofs to up profits. This company sucks. It’s also called the general beware and stay away they don’t work in good faith.

If you arr considering purchasing Good Sam extended service policy be very wary before doing so. I had purchased the policy on my Ford F150 truck in the event of mechanical breakdown while traveling. A transmission cooler line ruptured while travelling from Michigan to Florida to Florida. When I called Good Sam I Was immediately told that none of the exterior lines were covered nor was the transmission itself covered since any failure was due to the line breakage, even though the tranmission is specifically named in the policy along with other major componets. If anthing outside the major componets brakes and harms the major componets they will not cover it. It's basically a useless policy. If your going to buy an extended service policy you should make sure it is a full bumper to bumper policy.

Zero stars for Good Sam RV Insurance/National General. I have been a premium paying customer since 2009 on two different campers. Only made two claims….. both denied. We bought a 2016 Heartland Torque Toy Hauler from the original owner in February 2021. Their insurance replaced the roof sometime in 2020. My RV repair shop pointed out to us in early 2023 that the air conditioner was falling through the roof & would be in the kitchen if not repaired soon because the roof had not been properly braced/repaired. I made a claim with Good Sam/National General. They said that it was preexisting/long term damage & they would not cover the damage. It cost us $12,000.00 out of pocket to repair the roof. On June 21, 2025 while in Kansas we were a terrible wind storm & a 18 Wheeler passed us on a two way road going extremely fast & when it passed us it sounded as if it had hit us even though it didn’t. When we found a place to stop a short time later we discovered that the rubber membrane on the camper roof had been blown loose & was hanging off either side of the camper. The horrible wind had also blown the rubber gasket out of the six month old wind shield installed by Safelite & it was banging & hitting the roof of the truck cab. That’s how hard & horrific the wind was blowing. Made the claim with Good Sam/National General. Adjuster called two days later & arrangements made to send an inspector to our campground in Cody Wyoming.because we were going to be there for a week. After 5 days they never showed up. I called my home phone to check my messages & an inspector had been sent to my home in Louisiana (he left a message to call him & he said he would be in my area until 1 pm that day). Total incompetence….. inspector sent to the wrong state. When I called the adjuster she told me that there were no inspectors available to come to Wyoming to inspect my camper but they were real fast to send a letter to my home ( & my family read it to me ) & tell me if any further damage happened to our camper because of rain that they would not be responsible for that damage. We had to cancel the rest of trip out further west for fear of rain damage to our camper. When we got home another inspector finally showed up to inspect the damages to the roof of the camper. He made his report & took pictures. National General determined that the roof was not properly installed/glued down. That is total BULL. My RV Repair company has more than 20+ years of RV repair business including installing new roofs & he has never had one come back with an improperly installed roof. He has great reviews by his customers. He is adamant that the roof was properly installed. No amount of discussing/arguing with the inspector, the appraiser or the adjuster could convince them that the roof was properly installed so here we are stuck in the middle of two sides both saying they are right & we are out of pocket another $10,000.00 2 1/2 years later to repair our own camper roof. I sincerely think Good Sam/ National General just looks for ways to deny claims. No wonder they only have a one star rating from reviews I have seen. When my policy comes up for renewal I will not renew it ( been with them since 2009…. Great insurance company as long as you don’t have a claim) & I will also cancel my other two policies that I have with Good Sam. Stay AWAY from Good Sam RV Insurance. I have also learned that no RV repair shop any where near my area wil accept claims from them…known as a cut rate insurance company…..bad bad bad reputation for paying. ZERO stars to Good Sam National General…Buyers beware.

After leaving me to wait over 24 hours for a jump-start that only happened after I read the map to both the receptionist and the driver of the unmarked pickup that finally started my vehicle, Goodsam is claiming everything went as planned and that my experience is the best anyone can expect from their company. This was not the service and PIECE OF MIND that comes with it that I paid for. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

I would give Zero stars if I could for Good Sam Insurance. Complete rip off. Do yourself a favor and do not sign up... and especially do not sign up for auto renew! They tell you you are cancelled and auto renew the next year.
