Brought my vehicle in for an oil change. I got my car without a new reminder sticker or the maintenance reset. I checked my oil when I got home and it was clearly not changed. When I called I was assured that the oil change service was completed and could return to have it checked. When the vehicle was brought back the next day, it was found that the oil filter was not replaced and that there was in fact no oil change done. I received a refund but refused further service because of the distrust. I do not want anything from this business but only want others to be aware.

Run from this DisHonest place. Called and asked if I can bring my car for an inspection. The guy over the phone told me Come on over we will do quick inspection. After waiting 2 and half hours waiting, came back and gave me a long list: “You need change your tires, windshield etc. Otherwise will not pass inspection?!” My tires and windshields are 1 years old!! I took my car to a different place and it PASS the inspection!!! Don’t try to sell YOUR Tires just because you want to make money out of it!!!! You are Dishonest!!! Would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Charged me $21 for inspection!!! Refund me my money!!! Waisted my time & money

Had a recent slow leak on my tire. Goodyear on Wolf rd brought my car right in, diagnosed the issue, fixed it and sent me on my way very quickly. The technician and front desk staff were super helpful! I highly recommend you purchase Road Hazard insurance on your tires! Thanks again Goodyear!!

The Wolf Road Goodyear did my rear brake pads, rotors, fluid, an alignment, and were supposed to do a tire rotation but never did after charging me over $975. I know they didn’t so my rotation because I checked the PSI before and after and it was the same tires with the same low pressure(was hoping they would notice/fill them too). When I called to politely tell them about this and see what could be done, they told me to hold and instantly hung up on me. That is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I plan to go back in person to give them a piece of my mind. I’ve also been telling everyone who will listen about it and I work in a very large office building nearby. TLDR: I paid for a tire rotation and did not get it!

Incompetent is the first word i would use to describe this place. If i could give zero stars or negative I would. I have been coming here since 2020 but the last two years they have consistently gotten worse. There is no consistency in the staff they can’t keep anyone working here for more than a month or two. The new staff is no better than the last They will flat out lie to you about service and how long things take. Its is impossible to plan or keep a schedule with them. No point in having an appointment. Five and a half hours for an alignement and oil change is so ridiculous. The quoted me an hour and a half. Seems like they just lied so I would give them my business. Also tried not to honor the tire care package I purchased. They Then claimed I never bought the tires. Never apologize when shown to be wrong. Waiting room is shabby and half the staff is incompetent and lack knowledge or basic customer service skills. Always trying to get out of giving my Military discount which is part of the company’s policy. Extremely unprofessional staff. Its sad how bad they have gotten. they really used to do a good job here. Some Front desk staff is very nice and try their best but This place is trash. Won’t be back I’d rather take the classes and do my own work at this point. Just got done after almost 6 hours an entire day wasted. They also refuse to give me my old parts back. Second time this has happened. Even though I tell them I want them back before they started the work. Don’t they belong to me? isn’t that technically stealing? What the hell feel like i have been grifted. Terrible all around business acumen.

Made an appointment for an oil change which was on sale for $24.99. Also had the state inspection done. Never ever have I failed an inspection for windshield wipers but it happened now. They were charging $59 for them!!!! Under protest they took $20 off that price. So to make up for the sale they make up the money elsewhere. Plus $25 to replace a brake light. STAY AWAY!! Another issue… was told that I need an air filter and I said we’d take care of it. We bought a new one. Hubby took off the filter and it was like new. Not a speck on it. ANOTHER sham!! Can’t make this up!! So disgusted by a known company. Who can you trust then?!?

My experience at Goodyear Tire on Wolf Rd Albany NY. It started on Tuesday when I ordered tires and made my appointment online. This is the first time I have used the online to get tire and make my appointment. On Wednesday I wanted to make sure they had my appointment and tires order for a 9am install on Friday(not knowing if they had them in stock) I called and the person on the phone told me they didn't have my appointment and didn't have the tires in stock. They ordered the tires to make sure they had them. On Thursday I get a call to confirm the appointment. I confirmed the appointment and asked if my tires are all set. He said they are ordering them today and they will be in, in the afternoon. (They called in the morning). Friday comes, I'm here at 850 am. I drop my truck off, ask how long, they said a 1.5 hrs. She confirmed that I was waiting for my truck and it wasn't a drop off. I then went to breakfast. When I came back 45 min later my truck was in the same spot. At 10am I asked the person at the counter and they said they would check on it. Told me is was gonna be another 20 min before the lift will be available. I went to sit back down. He then came over and explained that the tech put a van on the only lift that was available to handle a 1 ton pickup. He said that they are new and he is trying to get the shop squared away. He then told me he was taking off the installation charge of $120.00 and apologize for the wait. 1030 my truck my brought in. At 11 they started working on it. While I was waiting I was talking to a guy that git in after me. He got 4 tires and a alignment and was out the door while I still waited for just 4 tires. Mind you I cannot confirm or deny the service he got. Got my truck back around noon. After talking with the Chris the manager. He offered his apologies. He explained how about of people got let go and it was new employees still learning the processes. He also took more off my cost for the inconvenience. Other than the wait i was happy with the expirence and will be giving them another try in October for my winter tires. Let's hope it better by then.

This location used to be really good but a lot of the employees have changed. The last few times ive been in i have had to wait 2 to 3 times as long for an oil change than the time they initially tell me. This will be my last time using goodyear for services for my car.

I’d leave zero stars if possible. Wife’s car was towed there 3 different people got it started, with about half a court of oil left in it. My wife, her friend, and the tow truck driver all started it, it gets dropped off at Goodyear they keep it for the night with out telling us. When I went there to speak about the vehicle the store manager complained about dealing with a woman that’s a customer for 4 days. So that made me comfortable, then he tells me they can’t get the car started and they think I have to replace a part that they way over charged for. Stay far far far away from this dump. I truly think the only thing keeping this play alive is name Goodyear but the employees are terrible especially the manager.

As with all my reviews, this is subject to change should I receive a negative experience, but I would consider myself a happy customer at this point. I came here for a NYS Inspection which was expired for several months and I needed this done before I could renew my registration which was due in three days (including the weekend). They were able to fit me in with little notice, and respected the fact that I needed it done by 1PM due to an appointment I had this afternoon. I dropped my car off while I went to work next door. Only reason I even went here was due to that convenience. I can just drop my car off and pick it up later. They pulled my car in pretty quickly as I got a call back before 10AM. I needed the front brake pads and rotors replaced (rust buildup on those), and brake fluid flushed. They tried to upsell me on an alignment as well. Total cost: over $900. I asked for the price for just what I need to pass inspection (brake pads/rotors/brake fluid): just shy of $900 if I recall. These are costs I was not expecting. But he offered me a discount because of where I worked and was able to get a 10% discount which brought it down to $767. Still more than I wanted to pay, but I was in a crunch and needed this done today so I gave in. As for the pricing breakdown, labor was $190/hour which is posted right in the lobby, no surprises there (I think they have to post labor costs by law). Parts were $394, which are much higher than I anticipated but I'll defend them here a little: Auto repair shops do tend to inflate part prices. They need to make a profit off of the parts as well as the work being performed. I'm not positive I could have gotten better in the area. And my normal place closer to home had a two week wait. I couldn't wait that long due to an expiring registration. I 100% put myself in this position. Afterward, I can now see I absolutely did need this work done. Braking feels a lot smoother. I'm overall very happy with the job that was performed. They seem to know what they're doing there and if I were in a crunch I would gladly come back. Overall: If you're needed auto repair work done, this may not be the best economical choice, but they seem to be able to work with you, especially if it sounds like you're going to shop around. They are fast and efficient. Waiting room is clean and roomy. Customer service is top notch. I never once received any sort of attitude or anything and as you can see they worked with me on the cost a bit. That's more than I can say about any other auto repair shop I've been to (as far as national chains go anyway). I really only took one star off due to cost, but they may very well be on par with others in the area. If I had a couple weeks to spare I probably could have saved $100-200 off the final cost by shopping around, but I did not have that luxury. I'll add that the prices of their oil changes and standard maintenance services look to be pretty standard, and I'd expect to be in and out pretty quickly. Keep note this was during a weekday, so I'd imagine wait time is longer during the weekend, but I can't attest to that one way or another. Overall I recommend this place, but it never hurts to shop around for the best price.

Avoid!. Caught them charging for services not actually done. ************************** It seems disingenuous to continue to post these canned responses from Goodyear corporate in response to an overwhelming number of negative reviews for this location. It demonstrates a decaying corporate culture and poor governance from management on down..

Terrible, bizarre experience at this shop. In November of 2020 I brought my Ioniq Plug-in to check my driver side tire air leak. While there, I also added an oil change. They had the car for an hour and a half, could not locate a leak, however, did an oil change. Fast forward to May 2021, I noticed oil drops on my driveway. When I removed the filter cover, I saw the obvious problem. They did not remove the factory Hyundai oil filter, completely mutilated it, but left it in place without telling me. When I contacted Good Year manager on Monday morning, he wasn't very receptive, however, agreed to see the car on Friday that week. I explained that oil flow was increasing by the day, especially while driving and he agreed to get me in on Tuesday 8 AM. When I arrived, I parked the car in front of an empty bay door. The manager came out and rudely told me to move the car. I attempted to explain that I'm not trying to start any trouble and I am the person that called yesterday, however, he rudely interrupted me and said that even if I start trouble, he will get me arrested by sheriff deputies that were servicing their cars later that day. This was all very odd, explained only by a little man having a power trip, however, he later agreed to swap the filter and top off the oil without even saying as much as a sorry. Of course, they did not wipe off the excess oil after the new filter was put on, so I had to clean it up myself. I am still trying to absorb the whole experience, trying to determine if I was at fault somehow. I don't change oil often, since I drive very little and 99% are EV miles. Was it my fault that the filter canister rusted through 6 months later and started to drip now? Would experience be any different if it started to drip 1 month later? In any case, I don't understand how a national chain can employ individuals like this, from top to bottom. What other shortcuts do they find acceptable when servicing their costumers' vehicles?

I spoke with a man at the store around 4:45 on Friday evening. I told him that I was at Sam's Club for new tires, but they found a stripped lug nut (and some swollen ones) and did not have the tools to remove it. The man I spoke with at Goodyear said he could help me Saturday morning. I asked how much the lug nuts cost and he said $7/each. I didn't have $140 to replace all 20 so we agreed to order 10 and replace the lugnuts on the two problem wheels that are on the same side of the vehicle. I said I thought they said it was the passenger side but I wasn't really sure so please just check and see which side has the stripped lug nut. He said if they could have the job done fairly quickly, then I wouldn't have to pay for labor. But if it took extra work, they'd charge me for an hour of labor at $190. I said ok, I'll be there in the morning. Saturday morning I explained all over again to the people at the counter (a young woman and a young man). I explained why Sam's wouldn't remove the swollen ones on that side since they couldn't get the stripped one off and removing the swollen ones would be pointless since they couldn't replace just one tire safely. I explained, again, why the man I spoke with the night before and I decided to just buy and replace the lug nuts on two wheels for a total of 10: -That I only needed them removed and replaced on two wheels. -That they were both on the same side of the vehicle. -That one of them had a stripped lug nut and that was the one that couldn't be removed at all by Sam's so that was the important one and it was on the side that both problem wheels are on. -That I didn't have the money laying around to replace twenty when I really only needed ten replaced. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes before the young woman asked me if I wanted to order the ten lugnuts and I said yes of course. She said it would take about twenty minutes to arrive. I ended up sitting in the store for 3 hours. Which I would not complain about had anyone in those 3 hours taken that time to do the job correctly or logically. When I got the invoice, the cost per lugnut was $2.79. I was confused but figured it was just a mixup on the estimate. They charged me for an hour of labor, too. I had a migraine from the fumes off the tires in the lobby. I also was in pain from a broken toe, and hadn't slept much because of it. I just wanted to get home. So I trusted that people did their job and I paid the invoice and left. When my husband brought our car to Sam's Club later that day, they informed him that THE STRIPPED LUGNUT WAS STILL ON MY VEHICLE. My husband drove back home and I looked at the "work" for the first time. My stomach dropped. I have never felt more taken advantage of than I did when I saw my wheels. Each of the 4 wheels had 2 or 3 lugnuts removed and replaced. They RANDOMLY replaced lugnuts on all 4 wheels. And they SKIPPED the one lugnut I told them had to be removed. The entire reason I took my vehicle there, and it wasn't done. And the replacement lug nuts are open. So not only are they more susceptible to rust, they look like absolute trash on my wheels next to the other ones. I paid $235 for my car to be worse off than it was when I went in there. I sent my husband in Monday morning to get our money back. He had to take an entire day off of work to do this. We got our money back but the lug nut is still on my car. And now I have to take it to another mechanic, before I can take it BACK in to Sam's Club to have my new tires installed. After utterly failing at such a simple job and screwing our entire weekend, they were incredibly rude to my husband when he went back there Monday morning. They should have been apologetic. Instead, they gaslit him about these garbage lugnuts and treated him like trash. Not only will I never go to that shop again, I will never buy a Goodyear tire and put it on my vehicle. Absolutely disgusting. Y'all should be ashamed.

AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! This place is a scam. They damaged my car and refused to take responsibility while constantly upselling unnecessary repairs. Read reviews from the past year or two for confirmation. The Backstory: I went in for a routine oil change and NYS inspection. I had a nail in one tire, but instead of just addressing that, they told me my car had an alignment issue that caused inside tire wear—meaning all four tires supposedly needed to be replaced and the car had to have an alignment to pass inspection. Wanting peace of mind, I agreed. A $100 service suddenly became a $1,000 service. Then came the upselling. They recommended new filters, quoted me $15, and then charged $60. But the real issue? While working under the hood, they pierced my upper coolant hose. When I returned the next day to point it out, they claimed it was a coincidence. Ed, the manager, insisted the hose had just randomly developed a hole—despite it clearly being punctured. Ed insisted there was no way his mechanic could have pierced the hose because they "weren’t working in that area"—even though each filter is literally an arm's length away from the hose. Instead of fixing their mistake, they tried to sell me on a $700 repair, which conveniently included a new serpentine belt and idler pulleys that I supposedly needed. The Reality: I took my car to another shop, where they fixed the damaged coolant hose—the only thing actually wrong with my car. They also inspected the pulleys and belt and found no issues. To top it off, they looked at my old tires and confirmed they would have passed inspection (minus the one tire with a nail). Final Verdict: If you want to be overcharged, pressured into unnecessary repairs, and have your car damaged so they can charge you even more—this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.

If there were a way to give -5 stars, this place deserves it. I made an appointment a week in advance, showed up on time, and they had absolutely no clue what was going on. After waiting 20 minutes past my scheduled time, I was treated with complete disrespect. The staff here act like they don’t care about customers at all — lazy, unprofessional, and completely disorganized. It’s like a circus being run by people who have no business managing a service shop. Don’t waste your time or money — avoid this place at all c

Went there to a tire sensor replaced. Had another tire done about 1 month ago cost $110.74. this time same part number same labor $187.90. questioned the price difference. Was told by manager the that's the price ,they must've gave me a deal a month ago. Very rude didn't check billing . I checked with 2 other tire places. Both around $120. At least he could've done was check into it . Guess I will be looking for another place for service.

We brought both our vehicles here recently for inspections and oil changes. We had great experience. Front end staff were very polite and professional. One car was fine, the other required some repairs. The manager, Sean, called and explained everything. The work was done quickly and when we arrived I was pleased that the manager took time to show us the broken part and explain the work that was done. I left feeling comfortable with the service.

Broke down near by, Sean was able to get me right in and diagnosed the problem quickly. The knowledge he had about what had happened and the care he showed about my vehicle was better than any service I have ever received. He brought to my attention repairs that I had no idea I needed especially with two kids in my vehicle. Thank you so much Sean for the care, consideration, attention to detail. I will definitely be coming back for all my repairs and be telling all my friends and family to go see him and his staff.
