I am not happy with the price that they charged me. I got the same quote from other places where the inspection cost is not there. Here they charged me 110$ for the inspection. To save that, I fixed my pads and rotors with an extra cost 473$ Where the labor cost was 77$ again. Honestly I won’t recommend my friends 100%.

Never had a problem here. Hate taking my car to shops that shake you down for every penny they can whether you need something or not. Father and other family members have stayed loyal to their service and for good reason. Hartnell has provided outstanding service on every vehicle he has worked on in my experience.

Chris and his guys are the most honest, trustworthy and knowledgable mechanics I've ever worked with. I've taken several cars to them to be serviced or inspected over the last 4 years and each time they've done great work. They only do what is necessary and at a fair price. They tell you what and when other things need to be done. Maybe even more importantly, they also tell you what doesn't need to be done which has saved me money over the years. I would highly recommend doing business with Hartnell Automotive.

I found Hartnell almost by mistake .Man am I glad I did! My daughter goes to school in Normal and I was happy to find an excellent mechanic here. Prices are fair and the work is done right! The owner is honest and personable. I was in town recently for what will be the last parents weekend I will attend. I wanted to stop in and thank him for the years of good service they’ve given us. I am going to tell my daughter to leave his business card or business information hanging on the fridge for the next tenants of her apartment. If only they were as easy to find up north.
