Took my car in to get the Freon charged on my A/C, received a call 20 minutes after dropping it off and I was told in needed to replace the compressor and it was going to cost me $1650 to fix, I said I couldn't afford that and I would be back to get my car. I was then given a bill for $125, which I questioned what his hourly rate was since he only had my car for 20 minutes, and the response was that I was "paying for his knowledge since I now knew how much it would cost to fix it". There was also a charge for parts which was confusing as well since he didn't actually do anything to my car. I proceed to take it to anther shop that upon inspection, all I needed was my Freon to be charged, strange huh? This guy was dishonest and ripped me off and will do it anyone else he can.

Herb is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I thought he was really nice and honest at first but I was fooled. Yesterday my 16 year old daughter took her car in to Herb's to see if he could tune it to pass emissions. I got a bill for $157 that said "catalytic converter is bad and needs to be replaced." My daughter then went to Emissions to get a waiver since she spent the required $150 but she was told the car could not be tested BECAUSE THERE IS NO CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THE CAR!!! I called Herb to ask what is going on and he said they sent my daughter to try and get through emissions hoping the emissions folks would not notice there is no catalytic converter. Of course they noticed immediately and refused to test my daughter's car. Herb refuses to refund my money or credit my money spent towards installing a catalytic converter. In fact he started yelling at me on the phone and hung up on me. He said its "Dad's fault" for not looking under the car to see it there was a catalytic converter installed. Now I am out $157 and got nothing for it. Not even able to test at Emissions. Herb should have given my daughter an estimate to put on a new catalytic converter instead of playing these fraud games. Herb is a con man. I am pursuing legal action, and looking for another shop to install a catalytic converter.

Most horrible experience ever with Herbs! My husbands car was towed to his shop to maybe get it fixed but instead we had to tow it to a different Auto shop to get fixed. He charged us almost $200 to tell us what we knew!! Never again we will go back or recommend Herbs to anyone!! His a rip off!! Wanted almost $600 for a 97 Acura 2.3 CL starter!! WOW! c'mon!! And charge us almost $200 on top of that amount for diagnostic!! PLEASE!! You can rip off some ppl but not ALL!!

The shop is clean and organized and they know what they're doing. When they care about their shop, it tells me they care about your car. I've seen other shops where they have bits and pieces of everyone's old car parts just laying around on the floor, and I'd expect them to forget to put something back on my vehicle. These were observations I was able to make as a parts driver prior to trusting Herb's with my car. Herb's was right on the money with their quote in terms of time and cost and I got my baby back just like I remember it prior to the problem starting. I see a couple bad reviews here, but in particular I'd dismiss any review that plugs a different shop. Herb's crew has integrity and skill and those two things are what counts most.

I have had great experience with Herb , He fixed up my 98 Explorer and got me on the road in now time. He even called me and gave me some suggestions on what I need to have done next time I bring it in (normal maintenance stuff). The price was fair and competitive. I will be sending all of my friends and family there..

Don’t come to this place ! Complete ripoff ! The work they do isn’t worth the price they’re asking ! I brought my truck in February because my exhaust was blowing smoke and it took about 3 + hours to get it in . There was only 2 people in front of me but once I was seen they told me it was a head gasket problem and it would’ve cost 15k to install a whole new engine or get a “used engine” for “cheaper”. I have no idea how this place is still open ?! I went to another mechanic and they fixed the injector problem for 3500 “totally a blown head”. Nice guy but a wolf. Don’t come to this place unless you want to spend $$$ and get little to no results! I hope this review will encourage others to actually find a decent place that’ll do the work properly !

Herb is the mechanic that I have used for over 25 years. He is the most honest person I have ever met and he is a great father and family man. These traits are hard to come by these days in an automotive repair company. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a straight shooter who will tell you the truth and not gauge you for not knowing everything about cars and trucks. Ladies I would recommend him to my pastor! He is authentic, honest, and a extremely nice human being, also a fabulous mechanic! When you meet him you will understand what I'm saying.

the most knowledgeable, professional, and straight forward shop I have ever been to. anything from a Honda civic to a diesel ambulance(saw it in the shop) these guys can do it all. if they don't know it right away, they have the experience to figure it out and give you an honest accurate diagnosis. I am a repeat customer and will continue only taking my vehicles to Herb's. not only are they the best mechanics I've known, but they are some of the best people I've known hands down.

I am behind in posting this, but cannot speak highly enough. Herb's team is always professional, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the quality of their work is absolutely exceptional. I am neurotic about taking care of my car, and Herb's is the only company I will trust with my car. Amazing customer service! A few times I had to call to change/reschedule my appointments and they were very flexible, friendly, and honest. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I have brought my cars here several times over the years. My repeat business is proof I'm happy with the service here.

After seeing good things about Herbie on Facebook, and recommended by a few people, I was excited to get my issues taken care of on my truck.... For a minute.... So I dropped the truck off for issues with intermittent power. Herbie had mediocre communication for 2 weeks (I always had to call first, never got updates without me calling). After the first 2 weeks I didn't hear anything from Herbie whatsoever. After he had the truck for 2 months, I asked to get the truck back because I was tired of no communication, and I really needed my truck. Also, in the beginning, I provided Herbie with a list of all the parts that we had previously replaced. All of them were OEM parts from Ford that I had purchased myself (have receipts to prove it as well). Herbie didn't care to replace at least $500 worth of those same parts without asking me first, and proceeding to tell me that they were all Amazon knockoffs (refer to me purchasing them from Ford myself). Herbie also listed in my invoice that I had authorized replacements of parts that were already good, and he just took a shot in the dark with the parts cannon. He said I authorized these replacements during the month and a half that I had no communication with him!! Also, during all of this, he replaced the same sensor 3 times because of voltage spikes causing these sensors to go out. Because of him not realizing this, I had to pay for all 3 sensors that he ruined!!! He never found any cause to my problems with the truck, and ended up unplugging a sensor to make it drive without intermittent power issues. Due to the sensor being unplugged, I am now losing 5 MPG driving the truck due to it not functioning properly. Herbie also said I needed brakes, which I did. I authorized these repairs, which were about $2500 worth.... Well I didn't realize that it was only front brakes. He didn't replace anything on the rear, that had the emergency brake sticking on the way out of his parking lot. Which also caused the rear rotors to crack after overheating. Surprise!!! Nearly $6000 later, and my truck still not fixed, I picked it up from his shop. I really wanted to post this review right then, but I didn't want to be "that guy." It's been eating me alive every single time I drive my truck that still isn't working properly, so I finally decided to post this. $6000, and I've got a truck with worse MPG, still not working properly, cracked rear rotors, bad pads, and bad calipers. I'm honestly disgusted at the whole situation, and that's why I couldn't leave this alone without a honest review. Not to mention, while I was paying for literally nothing, he acted like he gave me a deal because he wasn't "charging me for all of his diagnostics." Yet he never fixed the problem.... I would never recommend this shop, and I will never be returning. I've travel all over the Western US, and been to quite a few mechanics along the way. This one has been the worst by far, and I hope everyone stays away!

The guys at Herb’s are great! They saved our company thousands of dollars by taking the time to actually diagnose the problem instead of just trying to upsell us like other shops. They were kind and took the time to explain things and be sure we understood what needed to be done. They replaced and upgraded our oil cooler in our diesel truck, which is the backbone of our company, and did it in a timely manner. Thanks guys! You’ve snagged yourselves a life long customer!!

Put a turbo kit and turbo on myself sent my truck in to get tuned and they touched up the work I did and they are very good and very quick to get stuff done definitely one of the best in the business and herbie is just a great guy even took me for a ride in his 1,000+ hp 6.0 powerstroke highly recommend this shop great prices and they get the work done right.

I want to thank this muffler shop for their kindness when my car overheated. They helped me by adding coolant and jump-starting my car.
