Unfortunately, my lightning is three months old and wouldn’t charge anymore more than 30 minutes. It would just turn off or have a charging error and I could wake it back up through the app. I brought it to Gengras in Plainville but after 3 attempts they couldn’t fix it I should’ve brought it to Hoffman first. They troubleshoot on Monday and determined what the problem was was. Installed on Tuesday and tested it overnight. I picked it up Wednesday and it’s charging like it should.

This was a pretty good experience considering I was a brand new walk in customer, but they lose one star for the pricing. First the good. When I walked in I had to wait a few minutes, but as soon as he was able, Patrick got me booked right in and set up. He was very accommodating and even recommended a local place for food while we waited. Patrick deserves 5 stars and is the best thing their service department had going for them when I came in. Now the not so great. I came here for a state required airbag inspection. This inspection is not a physical inspection, but is done by connecting the vehicle to a diagnostic computer. I understand that this can take time and ties up the mechanic, so I was ok with the 1.5 hours totaling $189.00, but the shop supplies of 22.68 on top of that? What shop supplies were consumed during this inspection? None. It’s a computer diagnostic inspection that uses no supplies. This is the kind of pricing that makes people leery of dealership service departments. Oh well, I needed it done right away and they were able to do it. Thank goodness they have Patrick, he really is great here.

The service is great, Tyler was very helpful for the time i spent with him. I expected to be at Hoffman for most of the morning during to the work that they were doing. New breaks and some filters and fluids, so 3 and 1/2 hours wasn't expected. What wasn't expected was the price for the parts and labor, $800+. Hoffman Ford waiting room is comfortable, but i feel they should.have T/V feed showing the mechanic your paying working on your car.

So made appt for 2 recalls. Appt. Was made 12 days in advance. They refused a loaner or a shuttle as their driver has " unpredictable " hours. Drop car off.Monday, finally found someone to give keys to. That person actually offers to take me home instead of me paying for Uber. Next day.. get a call. Parts not in. Can't order part until car is in shop. Next day , part not in until friday. Friday no pay until maybe early next week. Service lead checks and then tells me the part will not be in until mid Nov and the recall went out before the post was available. So why schedule me? Asked then to bring car back to me for Saturday. Was told they were short staffed. I said IDC. You've had me car for almost a week with nothing done. Called corporate who says you have to work it out with the dealership the manager will be reaching out. Well it's been over a week and NADA. Worst chrome service ever. And buying the car was a chore as well. Avoid then if you can. Try Ford in Glastonbury. Oh, they did fix the seat belt recall, it's the rear camera that wasn't fixed.

I purchased a brand new truck with Paint protection in sept 2023 They scratched it in multiple places upon delivery. I was suppose to get it fixed but struggled to get a call back and gave up. I definitely could have tried harder but I didn't and moved on. 6 weeks later my rear brakes fell out and I picked them up out of the street (Lack of inspection I assume??) when I called I was treated like a joke and told 3 weeks to repair. I argued with them and convinced them to let me drop it off, once they received it their attitude 100% changed towards me. Fast forward 13 months and 11K miles and I noticed that my hood had some big chips in it and many little ones along with paint peeling.... I contacted them and they put it through corporate and it was denied due to environmental factors including tree sap and bird droppings.... on a brand new truck. I owned 4 fords before this for a combined total of 14 years with no issues. I traded in a 2013 f150 with no issues in the same environment. They then put It through pain protection and it was denied for manufacture defect. eventually they said they would cover it. I received an estimate to paint the hood, remove the bumpers and fade into the fender. I got the truck back 2 colors, overspray on the grill, tape residue all over the fenders and lots of dust embedded into the black trim as show in the pictures. When I called them they said it is all Ford would cover and pay for and it's not their problem and Ford corporate said they paid for the job and it's not their problem they offer no more support. I dont feel it's fair to be treated like this after spending 60K on a brand new vehicle. I understand you will never match 100% but you could have cleaned your mess and you could have asked if I wanted to cover fading Into the fenders. Its clear there was zero care involved in the work performed on my vehicle Nevermind the 2 times I picked it up the employees couldn't be bothered to assist me. I literally told them one day when there was 3 employees in the service writers office talking about a rally that I dont have time to stand there while they talk about personal things as I need to know the next steps for my truck. They said ok handed me the keys and I walked out the door. Called the service manager in the parking lot. He did call me back the next day, I called 4 more times before leaving a bad service survey and having him contact me. He didnt even know I had been there to get a quote and nothing had been done to help move me forward.

I was having trouble with my heater inside my car, I took it in for repair, I had to leave it overnight and Tyler my customer service representative ensure that I get a rental car so that I could travel to/from work. My car was ready the next day as promised and my heater is now working perfectly. I’m very pleased with the type of service I received at Hoffman and Ford motors.
