I am very disappointed with the $4,200+ repair experience. Although the service was advertised with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, when abnormal noises were identified less than two months later (after additional time and driving was required to confirm them), I was told I would be charged for the inspection. This response was both unexpected and discouraging, as it does not align with the warranty coverage. Additionally, the supervisor I spoke with mentioned she would check with the store owner but never followed up, which left the issue unresolved. I hope the company will address this matter promptly and honor the warranty to restore confidence in its service.

Again, they were able to get me fairly quickly, gave me a loaner, diagnosed and fixed the problem, and even gave me a nice discount because it's Christmas time. Updated 8/19/2024 We once again took our car to Import Motor Werks for two reasons: exceptional customer service and exceptional care of our car. We have been using IMW for a few years now and we drive 45 plus minutes to get there, even though there are other options for us nearer to our home. Michael is fantastic. Our car needed several things done to it and also needed to be inspected. I love that we get the email/text with the red, yellow and green highlights and information on each item explaining what items needed to be addressed now, and which were items that needed to be looked at in 6 months to a year. The report also included pricing so that we knew exactly what to expect. My husband and I will continue to use IMW for as long as we own our car. Thanks to everyone there!!!! Michael was the reason we came and Brandon and Tammy are the reason we will be coming back. Extremely CLEAN facility. Everyone who works there spent years working at various car dealerships and brought all of their experience and expertise together to give exceptional workmanship and customer service. Their prices were less than we paid when we took our car to a dealer in Cary. My husband and I waited for our car in their spacious, clean, and welcoming waiting room. It included WIFI, flat screen wall-mounted TV, two computer workstations with comfortable chairs, a basket of snacks and a fridge full of various drinks. And the ladies room was clean and had a variety of toiletries offered. Nice touch! Thank you.

I’ve had about $5,000 worth of work done on my car here. In April I took it in to have work done and it needed to be jumped to get it started. They put in a new battery for $300. This car has been in my garage since then, so other than a 5 mile drive back to my house no other wear and tear has occurred. A few weeks ago I went to start the car to work on it some myself and it wouldn’t start. I jumped it and successfully got the car to start. I tried to start it again last week after having previously charged it after jumping it and it wouldn’t start. So I unhooked the battery from the car and hooked it up to a charger that connects to the wall. The battery showed zero charge initially and would only charge to 44%. After unplugging, the battery would immediately begin to lose power (44% to 28% in about five minutes). When I spoke to Daniel today about a warranty on the battery he told me I would have to bring the car in and pay him $80 to make sure the charging system in my car works before he would replace the battery under warranty. When asked if he had checked the charging system in April, he said he did. It truly defies logic that a battery hooked up to wall power isn’t holding a charge because of the charging system in my car that the BATTERY IS NOT CURRENTLY CONNECTED TO. Daniel was then hesitant to tell us where the battery came from. He did eventually relent and tell us it came from Interstate Battery, so we called them instead. LO AND BEHOLD, the kind woman that answered their phone said we could bring it in this week to have it replaced under warranty. We asked if they would need to check the charging system in the car first and she said “Why would you need to do that if it’s the battery that’s bad?” What a run around! I regret spending as much money as I have at this shop. Learn how to fix your own cars! Because there is no reward for being a repeat customer who pays their bills.

I found Import Motor Werks through a quick Google search, and decided to give them a try based off of their reviews. This company is no joke! The customer service was out of this world! I could have taken my Mini Cooper to the dealership, but I'm glad I didn't because Import Motor Werks didn't push additional services that were not needed. They give you a list of immediate needs, and future needs, all with price points attached! While the services were cheaper than the dealership (always a bonus!), I didn't feel cheated because these people are honest and genuine! Daniel communicated with me every step of the way, whether it was over the phone or through their online messaging system. I'm so glad that they were able to quickly diagnose and repair my Mini's issues! Shout out to Matt, the mechanic who provided additional information on services I need in the future! I will definitely be returning to Import Motor Werks for any future needs! Thank you!!!!

World class service! I visited another shop in the area for a estimate and had a horrible experience, so I left them a review, and was scolded with a reply from them. I then visited Import Motor Werks and they were extremely friendly and accommodating. They performed what I needed done in a timely manner, and at a fair and reasonable price. They took great care of my vehicle, and even went the extra mile to deliver my original wheels and tires to my home (they did not fit in my car). Melody and Matt make a great team, as well as Danny, who offered to drop off my wheels at house. Well done!!!!

I had an oil change done on my 2007 BMW 335i. While they were doing that, they did a courtesy check of the vehicle and told me several areas of concern. I appreciate that and the fact that I did not feel pressured by them to spend more than what I was expecting. From the moment Ms. Kim picked up the phone customer service was top of the line, tone of voice , engagement, was understanding and extremely transparent about the process Then the inspection done to the vehicle. I have never seen such detailed and thorough work done ever! Yes you pay for an inspection but it was worth it. You get a full detailed report that in itself was worth the money. I am a customer that will only take my car here! That saying you get what you pay for, fits this company. Every penny was worth it and they also go above and beyond throughout the entire process.

I had a certified bmw sent here from dealership for pre purchase inspection. John (the owner) and Rufus were courteous, informative, and professional from the get go. I was told up front the cost. The BMW arrived from dealership and the inspection was thorough. They found a leak in the water pump. I informed the dealer and they immediately agreed to doing the full repair before delivering the car. Best money spent when buying a preowned (even if certified) car!
