If you have a German car, bring it here. They charged me only $50 to replace a lightbulb. The price quoted by the dealership was $200, Borderland Euro's quote was $150. International Foreign Automotive does a good job at the best price Update: The bulb burned out within only a few months. Please note it was the pandemic and its not like I had my headlight on for hours daily. . . downgrading my review to 3 stars.

I felt like I had to break up with a girlfriend after this visit. I originally met and enjoyed chatting with two of the three brothers who run this shop. They seemed friendly and genuine, and I appreciated the veteran connection with one of them—we clicked right away. I found this shop through Google after being overcharged for labor by a dealership. I was hoping to find a reputable, reasonably priced alternative. When I arrived in person, I spoke with Mando and one of the other brothers (whose name I unfortunately forgot, possibly being Rafa), and they told me it would be $125 to diagnose a turbo issue on my Mercedes—not a high-end model, just a standard vehicle. I also mentioned that I had already pulled codes using my OBD2 scanner. They said they’d get to it before close of business that day. I was flexible, so I didn’t worry if it took an extra day. But after two full days in the shop, I called to follow up—only to find out they hadn’t even started diagnosing the turbo issue. Instead, I was told by the third brother, Beto (who identified himself as the owner), that it would now cost $250 to diagnose the issues. He had simply pulled the same OBD2 codes I told them about from the start—and was trying to charge me another $125 just for that. I was genuinely shocked. I brought my car in for a full diagnostic on the turbo, not just to confirm codes I already provided. I expressed my frustration and told him that they had wasted two days of my time under the assumption that they were actively troubleshooting the issue. Beto became defensive and told me to just come pick up my car because he “couldn’t work with me.” This happened just before Friday rush hour. He made it clear he wanted the car gone that same day, so I rushed to pick it up before they closed. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a shop with transparent, honest service—not one that tries to charge several hundred dollars for something as basic as reading OBD2 codes (which can be done for free at most auto parts stores)—you may want to look elsewhere. No hard feelings, but business is business.
