I took my 2003 Mercedes e 500 here for a diagnostic I informed them the transmission was in limp mode and it needed motor mounts I asked him for a quote of the expenses it would cost to resolve the issue and have my baby back to normal unfortunately after a few days with the car the professional Mickey only was able to tell me everything I told him and had no quote to fix my car I am very convinced he is just prejudice didn't even take in to consideration I'm a Trump supporter and legal citizen he looked and spoke to me like I should be deported I've never felt so insulted in my life I personally will never go back

The Best service I could find and receive in Abq Couldn’t find any other shop that knew what they were doing with my Mercedes c class and once I brought it here he knew right away and fixed the problem fast, wouldn’t let anyone else touch my benz but you! Thank you again for getting my coupe back on the road

As a gal from Brooklyn and the daughter of a mechanic, I was impressed with Mickey at Jim’s Fine Cars. He was incredibly helpful and accommodating with my son’s car - a 2009 Honda Civic - when it was time to leave school in Albuquerque and come back to the hood. We will definitely use him again.

Had to have my Porsche trucked to Albuquerque and needed to have the car received and stored for 10 days. Mickey did a terrific job and stored the car in his warehouse until I arrived. Great guy who went out of his way to help me.

To be fair, I have not been to the shop nor had them work on any vehicles. I called for a price on an alignment and rather than give me a price the man on the other end rudely asks "what makes you think you need one?" Thats160 bucks i will give another shop who will speak to me over the phone in a civilized tone. Customer service is key to getting people in your front door.....

If you are looking for a fancy dealership waiting area and free beverage dispenser, this is not the place for you. If you are, however, looking for a knowledgeable and quick foreign (aka German) auto repair shop, come here. They have always been reliable in diagnosing my auto issues and allowing me to be part of the repair process. They know what they are talking about and when it comes to those pesky foreign auto issues, they can track them down.

Hard to believe that a guy from NJ would write a review for a shop in NM(?), but I felt compelled to share the "good will" that was extended to me by Mickey. I was buying a vintage Porsche in NJ and found Mickey's contact on the Carfax report. When I reached out to him early one morning, he was just opening his shop. He greeted me with enthusiasm. He knew the car immediately and within a day I had pictures and PPI report, he had done just a few weeks before. While this information was invaluable to my purchase, his willingness to share with me his insight into the car, and talk with me, was an unexpected, random act of kindness that I will no doubt be paying forward. Never met the guy and don't know what he looks like, but if you want an honest mechanic and someone who knows Porsche cars don't look any further.

Called for an estimate and advice, was met with arrogance and rudeness. The guy on the phone was like the elitist nerds at comic stores who make you feel bad for not knowing as much as them. I have patronized this establishment before with no problem, but customer service matters and they definitely lost my business.

I was driving a 2010 Lotus from Dallas to San Francisco and developed a shaking problem in the rear end. I was stuck and desperately looking for help. I called the British car dealer and half a dozen independent shops and everyone said either, "nope, don't work on those" or "sorry, we have no time for X weeks". Finally I called Mickey at Jim's. I explained my situation and, although he was busy with work AND short-staffed, he told me to bring the car by to assess. After putting the car up on a lift he quickly found one of the tires had developed an internal bubble. He called the tire shop for me and got me an appointment. After all that when I asked what I owed him, he said "no charge". I paid him anyway. So, if you want your faith in humanity restored and a friendly and very competent shop, look no further.

I have a 12 year old Mercedes in excellent condition and low mileage. I won’t take my car to the Mercedes Dealership because I’ve not had good experiences with them on the West and East Coast. Saying that I was looking for someone who I could trust with service and knowledge. I met Mickey at Jim’s and his love of cars and expertise hit the spot. If you have a car you really care about, go see Mickey at Jim’s. When you want the best, start there.

My first time there and certainly not my last! My first encounter with Mickey (the owner) was him kindly asking me if I would like some water, which I took. It really is true that first impressions can make or break an experience! Mickey was super helpful, knowledgeable and tells you the truth! I went in to get an air bag light reset due to me unplugging the front passenger airbag indicator light during a radio "upgrade". He reset the light and very politely told me that putting in a cheap Chinese radio takes away the communication of lots of electronics from one another. He and his employees got the job done quick and at a reasonable price, gave me a firm handshake and I was on my way. When I got home I immediately pulled that junk radio out of my car (which I was already on the border of doing since it was laggy) and put the OEM one back in. Also his assistant Bella I believe was her name, was also very kind and made sure that I had been helped with my issue. The atmosphere of that repair shop just screams peacefulness and trust. It's a shame there's not many places like this left. I'm sure glad I stumbled upon it though. Keep up the great work guys!

This is an odd review. I had some trouble with my Mercedes’ sprinter. I called to see if they had knowledge of how to fix it and the for sure new exactly what was wrong. I spoke with Mickey and he was extremely helpful. Pretty much diagnosed the problem on the phone and then told me to call the dealer. It might be covered by our warranty. He then did all the research and found out it was under warranty and called me to let me know. So we did not use their services but their customer service is unreal and I bet their work is even better. Thank you.

Mickey is the quintessential example of having "a guy" for fixing your car. "My sprinter van goes into limp mode randomly, I better bring it in to my guy". "Van dies out at 40 mph, better bring it to my guy". It always gets fixed and often times, the needed repair is different than what I had assumed it to be.

Mickey is just an overall solid guy: he always provides clear, understandable diagnostics, solutions, and goes above and beyond to provide additional options and resources to remedy whatever might be the issue. I’ve never encountered hidden fees or felt I was being yanked around like with so many other mechanics. As far as I know, Jim’s is the only shop that will even touch Maseratis in Albuquerque, and they do so at a very fair price (cheaper than dealerships in the country).
