Found staff (Ron) to be well experienced and personable. Joe always consistent with accurate assessments and fix to issue. Prices and turnaround time are reasonable.

I dealt with Joe directly to get an upgrade to a very uncomfortable Harley stock seat. He tore it down, put in 1/2 in gel pad, new factory leather and shaped it to fit me custom perfect. Rode the seat for 3 years after that in total comfort...awesome work, thanks Joe. Ken

Joe's redid the headliner on my car - the OEM headliner, which was nothing special, failed well before it should have, and, naturally, the dealer had few options other than total replacement of the unit, to the same uninspiring fabric. Instead, I took it to a specialist, Joe's, and they installed a custom alcantara headliner. This looks way better than anything I could have gotten from the manufacturer, and it'll probably last longer too. They are a top notch shop, and the kind of the place that makes you think, "what else do I have that needs to be upholstered?". I'll be back!!

Excellent craftsmen I needed a repair to the side of the driver’s seat of my 2007 Volvo XC 70. Volvo no longer makes the seat cover. They did an excellent job of matching the leather and a superb job of stitching the new panel in. It is very hard to tell that the seat has been repaired. High quality work at a fair price. What a wonderful find!

I took my 1992 Cadillac Braughm (a classic show car) into Joe's Upholstery shop for a very difficult head liner and rear beauty panels replacement. And BOY was I surprised at the magnificent job Joe did on my car...! Also, at a very reasonable cost too! Very happy and impressed with the whole experience I have had with Joe's...!~

Recently had a sofa cushion that was damaged repaired by the team at Joe's Upholster. Their work is flawless. The fabric matched exactly what I have on the sofa and you can't tell the difference between the new sofa cushion and the old one. Friendly staff. Quick service. Great work. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

What a great place, and experience!! After speaking with Don and Ron over the phone, I had them replace the failing headliner in my 18 year old pickup. The job was done in just a couple days, and the headliner in my truck looks brand new again. Highly recommend.

These folks are phenomenal!!! I had to have the sunroof replaced in my granddaughter's car. It was literally 5 days from the time the sunroof was ordered until the installation was complete, and 2 of those days were weekend days! Once the sunroof was delivered, the installation was completed the very next day. The costs were more than reasonable. I found the staff there to be very courteous and generally nice folks! I will definitely go back there the next time I need their services. I definitely recommend this shop!

I recently took my 1966 Mustang seat frames to Joe's. I also supplied the TMI seat covers and foam along with the refurbished frames. They did a less than stellar job on my seats. Wrinkles, damage to the back of one of the bucket seats, covers not straight and overall poor fit. I called with my concerns and returned with the seats. They told me there was nothing they could do to make the fit better and said that the wrinkles would come out in time. Realizing that I would never get them right using Joe's, I called another shop in Thurmont. I now have my seats back, they look amazing and I can't thank Robert of Main Street Upholstery enough. He had to remove all the covers and redo them. Lesson learned the hard way.

When I decided to have my interior redone on this 1969 Pontiac GTO, the only place I felt comfortable leaving my car was with Don at Joe's Upholstery, Frederick, MD. The interior was done to perfection and exceeded my expectations. Don kept me in the loop every step of the way. I was invited to inspect his work whenever I drove by the shop, so I stopped in every other day while the work was being done. Thank you for giving me first class treatment.

Joe's did a great job replacing the leather on my Subaru drivers seat. Joe's was recommended by Frederick Subaru and I'm very glad Joe's did the work. Seat now looks like it came from the factory. Quote was accurate and they got me in and out in less than a day. Thanks for a great job!

These guys are the real deal! Stopped here to have a custom motorcycle seat upholstered to replace my current seat. They patiently and kindly showed me the many different colors and types of leather products they offer. Although I preferred real leather for my seat, we couldn't find a the correct match for my motorcycle side bag. I ended up settling with a faux leather that looked "close enough", but it didn't sit right with me on my drive home. After getting home, I had the idea of going to Tandy Leather in Essex to see if they had a leather swatch that was a good match. I called Joe's and they said they hadn't yet ordered the faux leather we had previously agreed upon for my seat. I then asked them to hold off and drove up to Tandy Leather. To my surprise, they had the perfect match! I called Joe's and brought them the leather swatch. They called me and shared that it was ready after a few short days. The work is fantastic! It's exactly what I wanted. They were amazing to work with start to finish and I highly recommend them for your upholstery needs! And their pricing is very reasonable and was the best price I received! Thanks for the awesome new seat Joe's!

The ceiling headliner on my VW Rabbit had been in need of repair for several years, and more recently the driver’s side door headliner came undone. Since I was in the area visiting family, I was relieved to be able to track down a place that would finally repair this issue. During the initial consultation I was immediately told that they could not repair the door. I was disappointed, but accepted it. The estimate they gave me was $420. I brought the car back on the agreed-upon date, and suddenly the estimate went up: $495-$520. The final payment was $527 with tax. I’m in a privileged position since my father was willing to help pay for this repair. However, I found the fluctuating price to be a bit suspicious. More transparency is needed with regard to pricing, since I felt as though I was being taken advantage of. I was ultimately happy with the repair, which is why I’m not leaving a lower score. However, customers should be aware that pricing isn’t clear.

Absolutely ruined the headliner panel in my car. Went in to get a sagging headliner redone; Joe was friendly and the quoted price was fair. However, everything after that was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon getting the call that the repair was complete, I head over to find that the headliner board was bent in multiple places- leaving permanent creases that cannot be taken out. In addition to this, the sunglasses holder, cabin lights, and other roof fixtures were not put back correctly and are all hanging 1/8" OR MORE below the headliner- it looks terrible. I can't even use the sunglasses holder because now it won't open! The sunglasses holder was almost completely obliterated. The lip trim, hinge for the sunglasses cubby (up in the headliner), tabs for removal/installation and interior plastic wall were all cracked or chewed to hell. It's like someone just yanked on it until it broke out of the panel. Furthermore, the headliner fabric was installed incredibly poorly. Visible edges of the fabric poking out everywhere, wrinkles and dents all over the place, truly pathetic. They didn't even put the rear taillight back, it's just sitting there flapping against the window. I called back and thought Joe seemed to genuinely want to correct this. Boy was I wrong. I get there and he takes a minute to look things over, breaks a plastic trim piece that covers the wires leading to the rear view mirror as he inspects the work (offering no apology or intent to replace), and simply tells me "That's the way it is. Couldn't have done the headliner repair any better." I am left absolutely speechless by this buffoonery of a business. With absolute garbage work and service like this, I have no idea how they've remained in business this long. Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS unless you love throwing money away. On second thought: even then, just burn it. I paid about $500 for the repair and left with almost $1500 worth of damage.

I had an incredible experience at Joe's Upholstery getting my sunroof repaired. From start to finish, the team was extremely professional and the service was top-notch. Their communication was clear, and I was genuinely impressed by their timeliness—I was in and out within just 2 hours! They even went above and beyond by helping me out with a battery issue I was having with the vehicle. It's rare to find that kind of dedication and helpfulness. Great service, great people—I highly recommend them for any upholstery or sunroof needed.
