Our first experience with Van Damme's Automotive on NE Sandy Blvd. was just routine maintenance. This went very smoothly and seemed to be a reasonable price for the service done. Our second experience was when our car just died. It was towed, again to the Sandy Blvd. shop where it was declared DOA (to no one's surprise). The folks at Van Damme's were great in helping us get the vehicle donated to the appropriate charity. Our most recent experience was when we were shopping for a replacement car. We took the car to Van Damme's and they did a very through check on it to make sure there were no major issues. They found some minor issues which we took care of after getting the new car and we've been very happy with the car and the kind service we've gotten from Van Damme's throughout this entire process.

Trustworthy, knowledgeable, quick dependable service -- I had just been told by Toyota dealership that my truck needed about $7000 of work done on it to stop the vibration. Went to Ken Van Dammes Automotive without any appointment -- they took a look at my truck -- within 10 minutes, two mechanics came to me smiling -- they took me out into the shop and showed me the cause of the vibration -- the alternator -- They installed a new alternator and the vibration was gone. I was smiling now as the cost was less than $200 and they checked out the Toyota truck and said everything else was in GREAT shape... Only place I will take my Toyota Truck for Reasonable , Dependable, & Trustworthy Service with smiles.

I've had really great experiences with Ken Van Damme's. Before taking my vehicle there I did a little bit of research, but I admit I wanted to use them because they are within walking distance of my home. I've found them to be exceptionally responsive, and in the rare instance where some work didn't "take" (some gasket work), they stood behind their warranty and did a redo of the work, no fuss no muss. I feel I can trust their suggested repairs, without feeling they are trying to get me to do work I don't need. They are very professional and they always follow up when they say they will. I'm a fan!

Very nice, professional staff. They charged $165 to run diagnosis codes though. Something a lot of places do for free. I figured it would be free since the paper I signed when I dropped my car off said $0. Overall disappointed with this place.

As a woman, I generally find car mechanic dealings tedious because I always feel lied to or talked down to. I did NOT have that experience at Ken Van Damme's Automotive. Everyone was friendly and professional. I appreciated that I got an estimate up front that was accurate. I also appreciate that fo a service where I was going to bring my own part (but in the end did not) I was given clear pricing for both "bring the part" and "we supply the part." I needed 3 distinct things repaired. I was able to get an appointment about 6 days after my email inquiry. The work was done in a timely manner and I'm very happy with it. This is my new go-to auto shop.

Fast, kind, fair pricing, but best of all HONEST. I initially took my car to Sun Auto on Sandy and they quoted me $1800 and 7-10 day to replace my accelerator pedal system (the sensor on my accelerator pedal was broken). Ken Van Damme's charged me $370 and got it done in just a few hours. Everything is working just fine now! Really glad I called for a second opinion and glad I brought my car here. Thank you!
