After many calls to the Southern CA Acura recall office, we were forced to drive over the mountains to Eugene from Bend (128 miles) to have an Acura recall repaired on our high end MDX. Acura refused to pay or reimburse us for any time lost at work or have someone drive the vehicle out there. Our first indicator was that the tail light was not working and our local Honda dealership said they could not fix it because it was part of a recall. Left my home at 6:20 a.m. as I had an appointment appt in Eugene at 9am and they did not start until after 11:30. When I picked up the car, the serviceman (David Sanchez)walked me to the car and then I noticed the rear light was still not working. He said he saw it but it wasn't part of the recall, so he left it. WOW! Really?? If I didn't live so far, I would have waited for the fix. A call to me was not even attempted to authorize the fix. I would have gladly paid for a new tail light bulb that we now find out is not part of the recall. Now I'm driving back home in snow, through mountains with the light that I was told by one dealership was a recall problem, is not even fixed because this David guy didn't do his job!! What gets me is where is David's common sense?? Just call your clients and let them know what is not working, dude!!! Bad and sad experience to drive over the mountain, in snow over 120 miles for!

I have been using the Acura service department for many years now. I have always had an above and beyond experience. David Sanchez is phenomenal and is always quick and efficient to have my service needs met. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere and highly recommended this service department!

You're paying 2-3 Times MORE here than most shops, just to have an "Acura Tech" work on your car. The Service Manager is Great, Mike you're awesome. You've done everything you can possibly do with the information you get back from the shop end. Its the dishonesty of the Techs and the ridiculous price of service. Tried to convince me I had bearing material in my oil, after claiming I had a cracked oil pan. Never showed any proof of either & taking it to another shop found them to be lying about the bearing material so I dont even think the $800 Pan was actually damaged as im running better than ever almost a year after coming here for an Inspection That they didnt do, They just found things they wanted to work on for $$$ then got back to me without ever letting me know about what it was brought in for so I had to remind them to look at what i told them to in my Appointment Booking AFTER they had already "looked" Go to Joe's Garage, Its cheaper, You get photo proof, & the staff shoots straight. Never coming here again. Nothing you guys do or say is getting me to remove this review. Do better by your customers
