I took my Caravan to Longs to try and extend the life of it a little bit longer before buying something newer. The team there listened to all my concerns and provided me with a thorough inspection of all the worn out items. Everything was explained to me very well so I felt like I could make an informed decision. After I gave them the go ahead on a very labor intensive job with a few parts they had me fixed up in two days for a very fair price. I've put about 50 miles on the van since pick up and I can tell that things are a lot smoother and I feel better about loading in my 4 kids. Longs will always have my business. Thank you all.

These folks are the best. Current owner has had the place since 2017 or so. Prior to that he worked in his dad's garage for 20 year. His dad, in turn, had worked for the original owner of Long's Garage, which was founded in 1941. So there's a long history here and a commitment to quality and service that's always good to find.

My 2009 Impala was surging up and down in speed and the dash displayed "Power reduced". First mechanic said I needed the fuel pump /filter replaced. The estimate cost to be $600.00 because the gas tank would have to be removed. Brought the car to Long's and he found the actual problem and the repair cost was significantly less...as in hundreds less. The car runs down the highway like new. Thank You

Crap experience. Told us multiple times over the phone they were doing x,y, & z with our company bus....only to find out they hadn't even touched the vehicle (that they had in their possession for multiple months) and THERE WAS NOT EVEN AN OPEN TICKET ON IT IN THE OFFICE!!! This has been the worst mechanic experiences that I've had in Champaign/Urbana area in 20 years of doing business here. TMS or PDR if you need reputable work done in this area. LONG'S GARAGE IS NOT YOUR ANSWER!!!

Always a great experience. Everyone is friendly and make sure your car remains in great working order. I had an oil change and four new tires installed as well as wheels I had ordered to be put on at the same time. They are always very thorough and answer any questions I might have.

When my car started having issues with its engine going into low power mode, I was very nervous to take it somewhere and get it looked at since I'm a woman without a lot of car experience. I took it to Long's and I'm so glad I did! They diagnosed the issue (leaky sunroof short circuiting things) and gave me a band-aid fix without charging me a dime! I took my car back later to get it fixed and the price was very reasonable, much lower than the original estimate. Super nice and respectful all around, can't recommend them enough!

Amazingly nice experience with this shop. My daughter had an issue with her tires - she stopped in to have them checked out. Turned out she just needed a tire reset, but they double checked to ensure it was safe to drive and wouldn't let her give them a penny. Will definitely go back for future service! Thank you for making sure she was safe to hit the road!

This has been the WORST experience I have ever had with an auto shop! Our car was taken to this shop on 1/5/24. The car had wire damage caused by animals. Long's Garage told us they would not be able to LOOK at the car until 1/17/24. That date came and went and we heard nothing about our car. My husband had a 3-way phone call with our insurance and the shop. Long's Garage said that they had not looked at our car and did not know when they were going to get to it. Our insurance had been contacting the shop regularly for the last 2 weeks asking the shop when they were going to give us an estimate of the cost of the repairs. Finally on 2/1/24, my husband had a phone call with the shop and they said our car is repaired and ready to be picked up. When we asked why we were never given an estimate, the shop said that "you can't really do an estimate with this type of repair and you kinda have to fix it as you go to know the total cost". That was interesting since our insurance adjuster was able to provide a quote without fixing the car. My husband and I did NOT authorize any type of work to be done on the car! When I picked up the car on 2/2/24, Long's Garage's documentation stated that they got the car on 1/18/24 and fixed it that same day. When I asked why we were never notified it was ready if it was supposedly fixed that day, I was told it was because they did not have our contact information! When I paid the bill for the repair, the car would not even start! The battery was dead! The car they supposedly fixed would not even turn on! This place is so unprofessional and disrespectful. There was so much more I could have added but this post is long enough. I have documentation from our insurance and phone records proving that this shop has been lying to us about everything! I am writing this to warn others of what could happen if they do business with this Long's Garage.

I’m very picky about who works on my 2015 Subaru WRX STI. I had a timing belt kit that I planned on installing myself but time isn’t necessarily on my side lol. Met the team at Long’s after performing vinyl/coating services on their Ford Bronco and Chevy Tracker. They were able to get my STI in very quickly and completed the work in one day. Always Ready to Help! I had a total lemon of an SUV, and I couldn't afford to trade it in, so over the past three years, anything - and I mean ANYTHING - that went wrong with my SUV, the team at Long's Garage would figure it out. Sensors, tires, doors that wouldn't open, electrical items, oil leaks, squishy brakes, and a completely and utterly useless engine. The Team at Long's ALWAYS came up with a solution for me. They're not only smart, they're creative, and very reasonably priced. They won't try to sell you work that you don't need. They treat me like family. I will forever be a Long's customer. Daughters was strained in Urbana. Had car towed to Long’s Garage. Everyone was nice. However, $500 later and 1 week after picking it up we find out the thermostat and house plastic piece was broken (from our in-town mechanic). If Long’s replaced the water pump and the thermostat and housing is in the same area why couldn’t they “visibly” see a broken piece. Now we have another $294 to pay out since the air conditioning isn’t cold. 1st time customer and not happy

Had friends car worked on there. Brought car back for warranty work bikes done last year for pulsating brake pedal with highway speeds. All they did was cleaned rotors. When I drove car shakes whole care above 60mph. It's sounds like he doesn't doing warranty work. Terrible service if that's the. They also got way over payed for parts also. So if he does not to do warranty work if parts have warranty way should people go there service if they lie to customers.

My car wasn't running very well while I was driving it it was really shaky. They found out the problem it was the coil and plus I had other stuff that need to be fixed I'll be back again!

I've used Long's garage several times for repairs on an older Subaru. The work and staff have always been extremely professional, taking the time to explain their recommendations and address any issues or concerns that arise during or after the repair. Always thought they was a good business not no more. Brought my car into them to figure out why the check engine light was on even though I'd already done taken and having it diagnosed all I did was put four quarts of oil in my car which of course they said was basically an oil change they just didn't change the filter. Took my car to the dealership they diagnosed it as a solenoid and suggested to change the oil that it didn't look like it been changed. I brought my car in a couple times and they just mentioned that the mechanic missed out of cleared the coats when they clear the codes the check engine light come back on. When I called to let them know that I wasn't bringing my car back in for the appointment that I had and told them the situation they just said good for the other shop to find out what was wrong with your car. Never going back I'd rather spend a little extra money to get it done right the first time

I have been searching for a great auto place ever since I moved to Champaign. I think I finally found it! The customer service here (I met with Eli) is wonderful, and the integrity of the work is equally so. I didn't even ask for them to change out a brake light, but since they noticed one was out, they did it free of charge. I can't believe how kind these people are. If you're looking for a place you can trust, these are the people.

In theory, this is a great garage. People have told us to go here. My partner took her car here, after it got broken into. They gave a weeks wait (fine, seems typical nowadays) to bring it in. We bring it in on a Sunday night for a Monday look. Everyone kept saying they would call her back and updated. First saying it would be finished by the end of the week, but waiting on parts from very far (not) Napletons. Well it turned into TWO different times of saying they would be done by a certain day and not doing it. Second time she left work early and it wasn't done... Every update, SHE needed to call. 2 of the 3 finishing times were WRONG. To top it all off the parts put in did not match the existing key fob, so she had a new loose set of keys. When asked why, oh that's just the parts napletons had and didn't even call to give her an option. No discount or acknowledgement of poor communication. When she went to pick up the car they just said "who told you that?" I, on the other hand had some maintenence on my car (a week wait) BUT parts ordered same day AND fixed my a competitor. We will not be patrons at Longs again.

I recommend this shop of any in Champaign/Urbana and any surrounding town honestly. Their service was amazing. Their consideration of my time allowed me to get in quickly, and they even unlocked the office a few minutes early for me so I could make it to my meeting. Highly recommend Longs Garage!!
