Every time I go there I feel like I'm getting good quality work as well as quality customer service but nothing really beats that one-on-one experience that I'm getting with the few people that I see regularly. I really appreciate being remembered and I really appreciate the consideration and thought that goes into how my car is treated how I'm treated and just provided the times and how difficult things are they really make these higher prices go down a little bit easier. Shout out to Grant, he has been the face I've seen for the longest right now. Also I would have done a 5 star review but don't want these people to get too big headed 😎

Subject: Formal Complaint – Mavis Tire (Durham NC, Yunus Rd) – Fraudulent Repairs & Failure to Diagnose I am filing a formal complaint regarding repeated misdiagnosis, unnecessary repairs, and refusal to stand behind work performed at the Mavis Tire location on Yunus Road in Durham, NC. Over three visits, this location failed to resolve two basic issues — a tire leak and a TPMS warning — while selling unnecessary and ineffective repairs. • I was charged $30 for a tire repair that did not stop the leak. • On a later visit, the same tire was suddenly declared “unrepairable” and I was pressured to buy a new tire. • Costco subsequently fixed that same tire for $10 — a simple pinhole leak next to Mavis’s plug. • My wife’s vehicle was brought in for an oil change, tire rotation, and a TPMS warning. • Instead of diagnosing the warning light, Mavis sold us new shocks, claiming they would prevent tire wear. • The TPMS light was never fixed, even after returning the vehicle. • Costco diagnosed the true cause — bad TPMS sensors — in under one minute. This pattern shows a serious failure of basic diagnostic competence and strongly suggests upselling at the expense of the customer. A professional shop would have identified both the tire leak and the TPMS sensors immediately — especially after multiple visits. I contacted Mavis customer service and was told I was “taking advantage,” which is unacceptable. I was promised a call from a regional manager that never came. I am requesting: A refund for the tire repair that failed Reimbursement or review of the unnecessary shock replacement A formal investigation into this location’s diagnostic and sales practices I have invoices and documentation and am prepared to submit them to BBB, the NC Attorney General’s Office, and consumer protection agencies if this is not addressed.

I've been so pleased with both the customer service and services I've had done at Mavis. I recently noticed a slow leak in one of my tires and pulled into Mavis about 30 minutes before closing. I anticipated them possibly having me make an appointment for the following day given the time before closing, but they took me right in, found a nail in my tire, and patched it in no time. It's now been holding the air better than my other tires, even with the constant temperature fluctuations. Grateful for their kindness, great customer service, and service.
