Came here for my door handle that broke off and Jose really took care of me! He was very honest about pricing and didn't try to upsell or offer anything else (as he could probably tell how distraught I was without a door handle haha). My quote ended up being better than expected and it was so fast I didn't have to miss work which was huge for me. Signed up for rewards as soon as he offered because I will be bringing my car's needs here. This place is great!

As always, good experience at Maxi's on Beach Blvd. Eric and Jose worked with me on the proposal, scheduling appointment was easy, and as I advised them I'd wait on site, battery was replaced promptly. Staff is personable and helpful. I recommend this location to everyone and will continue to go there for maintenance. Only fly in ointment: batteries have gotten so expensive!

They came recommend by a family member who has been there before and some other friends but they have since gone downhill and I've advised them all never to use again and anyone else who asks. They had my truck for a day long repair but it turned into a week + long repair for an alleged 7 hours of work. This meant several hundreds of dollars extra I had to spend for a rental truck when it was supposed to be for a day or two. They were twice the cost of everyone else but I figured they knew what they were doing and they promised a quick turn around which didn't happen. They lied throughout entire process. Everyday and every person had a new excuse. A part was missed, then they had to order something extra, then a part came in damaged, then a part came in wrong, then the tech was out with an emergency, it was always something and they never kept me up to date. I was also told the diag fee would go towards the bill but they refused to apply any portion to the bill so I paid the full repair and then all of the diag fee even though it was all part of the same work. (Diag fee of tear apart but also tearing apart was required to repair, it's not like it was torn apart then reput back together then torn apart again ). They claimed to have missed a $863 dollar part but I believe it was BS as the price was already extremely high, and if they really did miss it then they took that money back by not refunding the $485 diag fee I was promised at the beginning would go towards the bill not in addition to the bill. It also took about 3-4 weeks of cleaning and driving to get the interior of the truck to not smell like gear oil. It was so strong at first I had to keep windows down for days. The invoice has zero mention it hours or labor charge and when I questioned it he simply divided the labor cost over 7 which anyone could have done and then said well we don't have an actual labor charge nor do we list labor hours. No where is confirmation it was actually 7 hours of Labor. I've never even seen a shop not list hours of Labor and labor rate. Receipt is attached. When you do the math it's $218 an hour. If I had known it would be $218 an hour and known I was paying the diag fee regardless of them fixing or not I would have just picked it up paid only the diag fee and had it fixed elsewhere for half the cost. I later found out a friend with some truck spent less than this to fix same thing at a Ford dealer. As if all this was not enough when I went to pick up they said I had to get it flushed again after 500 miles so they could inspect their work but was told this is an additional charge. With their $218 an hour and parts this would have been another several hundreds of dollars. No new car has a 500 mile flush / inspection so why should this when it was all allegedly new OEM parts? 500 miles is absolutely nothing, I drive that in two days. It also started making noise again when I would turn a corner in just a couple thousands of miles. Last thing, they made me put a $2,000 deposit down early on before they touched it and when I went to pick it up they tried to make me pay the entire thing and they argued with me and said they had no record of my $2,000 deposit. I had to pull it up on my credit card statement to prove it but then that wasn't even easy to find because it says PayPal so it wasn't even a legit business credit charge it was pay pal. This place is a scam and you are better off anywhere else especially for the $218 an hour they charge.

Erik and Jose was very professional and certainly gave me the full details of my car from the engine to the tread on the tires. I appreciated the contact information from the beginning to the end. I experienced and oil leak alone with the stabilitrax issue and I would say they kept me abreast on all issues and what it would take to resolve the issue, I would recommend Maxi automotive to all females that doesn’t have a male advisor in the family . My car was fixed with a reasonable amount of time. They also called and Uber to pick me up which was remarkable. I’m thankful.

This is the absolute best auto shop I’ve ever been to! Everyone is so friendly especially Erik at the front desk. They were also super receptive to every question I had and a very honest about the price. They also send you pictures of the issues with your vehicle and even offer Ubers within a certain range if needed! Thanks for great service and quick turnaround.

Bad experience. Went in because my truck would not go into park. They charged me $230 to look at it for one hour and supposedly could not diagnose the problem and need another $230 to look at it again. I denied that second hour and was gonna take it to another shop. Well the truck got worse with them and wouldn’t even go into drive or reverse, etc. I’m glad they at least paid for the towing to the other shop. Not sure what they specialize in at this shop but be careful. Probably 100 better shops with cheaper inspection fees.

Went to Maxi off Beach Blvd for a pre-purchase/post-puchase inspection (Carvana). Service at the front desk was great, Jose and Erik were super friendly and helpful. The inspection itself was very detailed and they let me go into the shop to see what they were seeing. Service was fairly priced and they made sure I understood everything they found and gave me a detailed digital document of it that I could review later on my own. Overall great experience with the mechanic and customer services they offer. Would highly recommend to a friend.

The service it’s self was fast as they got the problem resolved the next day. They also offer uber rides if you need to drop off your car.
