I called in the morning, within 5 minutes they were able to take my car in and diagnose my sickly gal. Same day, by 3pm my car was repaired and good to go. I received quotes from 2 other shops that were almost 50% higher for a tricky job with wait times for at least 2-4 business days. The crew was kind and didn't disregard my opinion (very uncommon being a female), they kept me posted throughout the process (I overreact when there's an issue with my car). I think I found my new favorite car doctors. Highly recommend. :)

This place is the best. Absolute total professionals and 100% trustworthy. They service all of our cars and they do it for substantially less than other shops, and a fraction of what a dealership would charge. And they don't try to sell you on services that are not necessary. They recently replaced a stolen catalytic converter for us. They literally charged us $2,000 less than the Hyundai dealer. In addition, another one of our cars blew a lower engine and it needed to be replaced. Casey, the owner, told us that there was a court settlement that extended the warranty on the engine and that it was covered by the extended warranty. He was right and we got a brand new lower engine for free because of Casey. We won't go anywhere else.

Excellent experience coming here for the first time with my Mitsubishi Mirage! My dad was a customer here for years and told me they do fantastic work. Casey was willing to work with my busy schedule and take care of my car first thing in the morning. I got an oil change, tire rotation and asked about some squeaking I noticed while driving. He kept me informed throughout the process, letting me know my driving belt and brakes needed service and how much everythingwould cost. He and his hardworking team took excellent care of my car! It drives like it's brand new! They took care of everything I asked for and I cannot thank them enough!

I had my car towed to the shop with my car sounding like a lawn mower back on 06/03/25. As I hit the bottom of a hill I cracked my catalytic converter. Typically no matter where a crack is on a catalytic converter you have to replace it as the metal is too thin to weld/repair and anyone who's had to replace one before knows this means $$$$. I just finished moving 3 days prior and didn't have the money to do this, but they let me know it cracked right on the flange weld. Turns out it was a weak factory weld. These guys were able to clean up the old weld and get it re-welded with no damage to the rest of it. It's now held strong for a month so far with no issues, AND it solved 2 other problems I had in the process. All for a fraction of the cost of a new converter. I currently now live 45 minutes away in Plainfield and still will go out of my way to bring my car here in the future if needed.

Recently had some issues with my EcoSport and the guys at Maximum took care of me. I have been coming to Maximum for a long time, and I travel quite a distance to get here. Maximum is basically responsible for my build - I doubt that my 2012 would be in such good shape without them. They know their stuff - you can tell from the volume of customers. Definitely worth the trip!

I’ll let you draw your own conclusion as to whether or not they were trying to take advantage of us—but here’s what happened: Our van suddenly started overheating. It was overdue for an oil change anyway, so my wife took it to Delta Sonic and mentioned the overheating issue. They told her they weren’t a full-service repair shop, but they checked for visible leaks and didn’t find any—either oil or coolant. Our regular mechanic was booked up, and we were about to leave on a trip, so she took the van to Maximum Automotive. According to them, the van had major issues: multiple leaks, pools of oil and coolant, and it supposedly needed a new radiator, engine oil cooler adapter, and thermostat. The quote: $3,100.12—on a van that has a trade-in value of maybe $5,000–$6,000. Needless to say, it was a shock. She called me and we talked it over, and then she asked them if there was a cheaper "patch job" option—just enough to get the van drivable before trading it in. They said they could essentially just replace the radiator for $1,300. It cost us $111 for the diagnosis. We ended up canceling our trip and getting a second opinion (technically a third, if you count Delta Sonic). Our usual mechanic was able to fit us in a couple of days later. Their diagnosis? We only needed a new radiator and some A/C repair. Total cost: about $500. I called Maximum to ask about the discrepancy. They insisted they weren’t trying to take advantage of us and suggested that our usual shop must not have looked as thoroughly as they did. They offered to “show us” the issues if we brought the van back in. No thanks. Even if they weren’t being dishonest, the fact remains: we’re getting the radiator replaced for less than half of what Maximum quoted us—without all the extra parts they claimed we needed.

I’ve been going to maximum automotive for years and have had an amazing experience. Recently I’ve been having issues with my new car, I took it here and they diagnosed it for me and also told me it would be covered under my warranty at the dealership. I took it over to the dealership down the road to get it fixed. The noise was still there but a little different sounding. I took it back to maximum and they suspected it was the same issue that I had gotten “fixed” at the dealership. With further inspection, they diagnosed it as the same exact thing and also told me it hadn’t looked like there was any work done. Throughout this experience, they have been honest and very thorough. They checked my car repeatedly and made sure the noise was gone and the problem was fixed. My car is running great and I’ve had absolutely no issues. I can’t recommend them enough.

Hands down, no questions asked, the absolute best shop in the Chicago/Naperville area for anyone looking to do a huge build on their Truck or Jeep or just looking for everyday service on their vehicle. Casey and his team are extremely hands on and customer friendly and are happy to work with you for whatever you need. I just did a huge build on my truck, talked to a lot of shops in the area and happy I went with Maximum Automotive to handle everything as the truck came out even better than I could have imagined. More-so than how the truck came out was how happy I was with the process from start to finish when dealing with Maximum Automotive. They are the BEST in town.
